Job 21
1 Then answered Job, and said,
Dia namaly Joba ka nanao hoe:
2 Hear, O hear my speech, and let this be wherewith you give consolations.
Mihainoa dia mihainoa ny teniko, Ary aoka izany no ho fampiononanareo ahy.
3 Bear with me that I may indeed speak: and after my speaking, then canst thou mock.
Mandefera amiko ianareo, fa mba hiteny kosa aho izao; Ary rehefa tapitra ny teniko, dia mandatsalatsà ihany indray ianareo.
4 As for me, —is against man my complaint? and if this be so, why should my spirit not be impatient?
Raha ny amiko, moa ny ataon’ ny olona va no itarainako? Ary raha izany, nahoana no hahalefitra ny fanahiko?
5 Turn yourselves unto me, and be astounded, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
Jereo aho, dia aoka ho talanjona ianareo, ary mitampena vava.
6 Yea, when I think of it, I am terrified, and shuddering seizeth hold of my flesh.
Eny, raha mahatsiaro izany aho, dia raiki-tahotra, sady toran-kovitra ny tenako:
7 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, grow strong in power?
Nahoana no velona ny ratsy fanahy ka sady tratrantitra no be hery?
8 Their seed is firmly established in their presence with them. their offspring are before their eyes.
Ny zanany koa mitomoetra tsara eo anatrehany, ary ny zafiny eo anoloany.
9 Their houses are at peace without any dread, and no rod of God [cometh] over them.
Ny ankohonany miadana ka tsy manan-tahotra, ary ny tsorakazon’ Andriamanitra tsy mamely azy.
10 The bull of each one gendereth, and disappointeth not: the cow of each one calveth, and casteth not her young.
Ny ombilahiny mampiteraka ka mahavanona; Ny ombivaviny miteraka ka tsy mamotsotra.
11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children skip about [with joy].
Mamoaka ny zanany madinika toy ny ondry aman’ osy izy, ka mikoriana ny zanany.
12 They sing to the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the pipe.
Mihoby mitondra ampongatapaka sy lokanga izy ary mifaly amin’ ny feon-tsodina.
13 They wear out their days in happiness, and in a moment they go down to the nether world. (Sheol h7585)
Mandany ny androny amin’ ny fahafinaretana izy; Amin’ ny indray mipi-maso monja no idinany any amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita. (Sheol h7585)
14 And yet they say unto God, “Depart from us; and the knowledge of thy ways we desire not.
Kanefa anie ireo no manao amin’ Andriamanitra hoe: Mialà aminay! Fa tsy mba irinay ny hahalala ny lalanao.
15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit shall we have, if we entreat him urgently?”
Zinona izay Tsitoha, no hotompoinay? Ary inona no soa ho azonay, raha mivavaka aminy?
16 Lo, not in their hand doth their happiness rest! The counsel of the wicked be [still] far from me.
Indro, tsy avy amin’ ny tenany ihany ny fahafinaretany! Ho lavitra ahy anie ny fisainan’ ny ratsy fanahy!
17 How often is the lamp of the wicked quenched? and how often cometh over them their calamity? and doth [God] distribute their lot in his anger?
Indraindray foana no mba maty ny jiron’ ny ratsy fanahy, sy tonga ny loza manjo azy. Ary amelaran’ Andriamanitra fandrika ireny noho ny fahatezerany,
18 Are they as straw before the wind, and as chaff which the stealeth away?
Ka tonga tahaka ny mololo voatetika indaosin’ ny rivotra izy sy tahaka ny akofa entin’ ny tafio-drivotra.
19 Should God lay up for his children his wrong-doing? it were better that he reward him, that he might know it himself.
Andriamanitra, hoy ianareo, mbola hampijaly ny zanany noho ny helodrainy! Tsia; fa ny tenan’ ireny ihany no aoka hovaliany, mba hahalalany.
20 His own eyes ought to see his downfall, and from the wrath of the Almighty ought he to drink.
Aoka ny masony ihany no hahita ny loza manjo azy, ary aoka ny tenany ihany no hisotro ny fahatezeran’ ny Tsitoha.
21 For what care hath he for his household after him, when the number of his months is all apportioned to him?
Fa mampaninona azy moa ny amin’ ny taranany mandimby azy, raha tapaka ny isan’ ny androny?
22 Is this fitting God, who teacheth knowledge? him who judgeth those that are highest?
Moa Andriamanitra va no hampianarim-pahalalana, nefa Izy no mitsara ny any an-danitra aza?
23 That this one dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet;
Maty ny anankiray, raha tsy mbola mihena ny fahatanjahany, sady miadana tokoa ka tsy manana ahiahy;
24 His vessels being full of healthy fluid, and the marrow of his bones being well moistened:
Feno ronono ny fitoeran-drononony, ary vonton-tsoka ny taolany.
25 While this other dieth with an embittered soul, and hath never partaken of any happiness;
Ary ny anankiray maty amin’ ny fahorian’ ny fanahiny kosa ka tsy mba nanandrana soa akory.
26 [And yet] together they must lie down in the dust, and the worms will cover them?
Samy mandry ao amin’ ny vovoka izy roa tonta, ka feno olitra ny tenany.
27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the opinions which ye wrongfully devise against me.
Indro, fantatro ny hevitrareo sy ny saim-petsy amelezanareo ahy;
28 For ye say, Where is the house of the noble-minded? and where is the tent of the dwelling-places of the wicked?
Fa hoy ianareo: Aiza ny tranon’ ny mpitohatoha? Ary aiza ny lay fitoeran’ ny ratsy fanahy?
29 Have ye not asked the wayfarers? surely their token ye cannot disregard,
Kanefa tsy mba nanontany tamin’ ny mpandeha amin’ ny tany lavitra va ianareo? Ary tsy heverinareo va ny zava-mahagaga, ambaran’ Ireo hoe:
30 That the bad man is reserved for the day of calamity, [that the wicked] are carried forward to the day of wrath.
Amin’ ny andro hahitan-doza dia voaaro ihany ny ratsy fanahy, ary amin’ ny andro fahatezerana dia enti-miala izy?
31 [But] who will tell him to his face of his way? and who will repay him what he hath done?
Iza no hanambara ny lalany eo anatrehany? Ary raha misy zavatra nataony, iza no sahy hamaly azy?
32 Yea he will indeed be carried to the grave, and men will quickly think of his monument:
Ary ho entina ho eny an-tany fandevonana izy ka mbola hitazana ao am-pasana;
33 Sweet are to him the clods of the valley; and after him succeedeth every man, as those that were before him are without number.
Ho mamy aminy ny bainga any an-dohasaha, ary ny olona rehetra hanaraka azy, toy ny nandehanan’ ny maro tany alohany.
34 How then will ye comfort me with vanity? and of your answers there remaineth only deception.
Endrey! ity ianareo mba mampionona ahy foana! Ary ny famalianareo anefa, raha voasana tsara, dia lainga ihany!
