< Jeremiah 8 >
1 At that time, saith the Lord, shall they bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves.
“‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, nʼoge ahụ a ga-esi nʼili ha wezuga ọkpụkpụ ndị eze, na ọkpụkpụ ndịisi ọchịchị Juda, na ọkpụkpụ ndị nchụaja na ndị amụma, na ọkpụkpụ ndị niile bi na Jerusalem.
2 And they shall spread them out before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, which they have loved, and which they have served, and after which they have walked, and which they have sought, and to which they have prostrated themselves: they shall not be gathered up, and they shall not be buried; dung upon the face of the ground shall they become.
A ga-agbasapụ ha nye anyanwụ, na ọnwa, na kpakpando niile nke mbara eluigwe, bụ ihe ndị ahụ niile ha hụrụ nʼanya na ihe ha na-akpọ isiala nye. Bụkwa ihe ndị ahụ ha na-agbaso, nke ha na-ajụta ase site nʼaka ha, na-efekwa. A gaghị ekpokọta ọkpụkpụ ndị a niile, maọbụ lie ha nʼala. Kama ha ga-aghasara nʼala dịka unyi.
3 And death shall be preferable to life, for all the residue of those that are left of this evil family, who are left in all the places whither I shall have driven them, saith the Lord of hosts.
Nʼebe niile nke m chụsara ha, bụ ndị fọdụrụ ndụ site na mba ọjọọ a, ha ga-ahọrọ ọnwụ karịa ịdị ndụ. Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwubiri.’
4 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord, Shall they fall, and not arise? will he turn away, and not return?
“Ị ga-asịkwa ha, ‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru: “‘Mgbe mmadụ dara ada, ọ dịghị ebili ọtọ? Mgbe mmadụ daghachiri azụ, ha ọ dịghị alaghachi azụ?
5 Why then remaineth this people, Jerusalem, rebellious by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast on deceit, they refuse to return.
Gịnịkwa mere ndị a ji tụgharịa site nʼịgbaso ụzọ ọjọọ ha? Gịnị mere Jerusalem ji nọgide na-agbaso ụzọ ọjọọ? Lee, ha na-ejidesi aghụghọ aka ike; ha jụrụ ịtụgharị.
6 I listened and heard, but they would not speak aright; no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned again to his course, as the impetuous horse in the battle.
Aṅaala m ntị, ma anụbeghị m ka ihe ọma ọbụla si ha nʼọnụ na-apụta. O nweghị onye nʼime ha chegharịrị tie aka nʼobi sị, “Gịnị bụ ihe a m mere?” Kama onye ọbụla na-agbaso ụzọ nke aka ya, dịka ịnyịnya nke na-agbaba nʼọgbọ agha.
7 Yea, the stork in the heavens knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle, and the swallow, atad the crane observe the time of their coming home; but my people know not the ordinance of the Lord.
Ọ bụladị ụgbala na-efegharị na mbara eluigwe maara oge ya a kara aka. Nduru, na eleke, na okwolo makwaara mgbe ha kwesiri isite nʼotu ebe obibi ha gafee nʼebe obibi ọzọ. Ma ndị m amaghị ihe Onyenwe anyị chọrọ site nʼaka ha.
8 How can ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Truly, behold in vain wrought the pen, in vain the writers.
“‘Unu si aṅaa kwuo, “Ndị maara ihe ka anyị bụ, nʼihi na iwu Onyenwe anyị dị nʼaka anyị,” ebe ọ bụ na mkpisi akwụkwọ aghụghọ ndị ode akwụkwọ unu adịghị akọwa iwu ya otu o kwesiri?
9 The wise men are ashamed, they are discouraged and caught, lo, the word of the Lord have they rejected; and what wisdom have they [now]?
A ga-eme ka ihere mee ndị maara ihe; a ga-eme ka ụjọ jupụta ha obi, meekwa ka ha maa nʼọnya. Ebe ọ bụ na ha ajụla okwu Onyenwe anyị, ọ bụ ụdị amamihe dị aṅaa ka ha nwere?
10 Therefore will I give their wives unto others, their fields to conquerors; for from the least even unto the greatest, every one is seeking his own gain: from the prophet even unto the priest every one practiseth falsehood.
Ya mere, aga m akpọnye ndị ikom ọzọ nwunye ha, werekwa ubi ha nyefee nʼaka ndị ọrụ ubi ọzọ. Nʼihi na site nʼonye ukwu ruo nʼonye dịkarịsịrị nta, ọ bụ naanị akpịrị uru na-ezighị ezi ka e ji mara ha. Ọ bụladị ndị amụma na ndị nchụaja na-etinyekwa aka nʼọrụ aghụghọ.
11 And they heal the breach of the daughter of my people very lightly, saying, Peace, peace: when there is no peace.
Ha na-ekechi ọnya ndị m dịka a ga-asị na ọ dịghị ihe ọ bụ. Ha na-asị, “Udo dị, udo dị,” mgbe udo na-adịghị.
12 They should have been ashamed, because they had committed abomination; but they neither felt the least shame, nor did they know how to blush: therefore shall they fall among those that fall; at the time of their punishment shall they stumble, saith the Lord.
Ihere o mere ha nʼihi omume arụ ha niile? Mba! Ihere adịghị eme ha ma ọlị; nʼezie, ha amakwaghị ihe a na-akpọ inwe ihere. Nʼihi ya, ha ga-ada nʼetiti ndị dara ada; ha ga-asọ ngọngọ mgbe e nyere ha ntaramahụhụ. Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru.
13 I will surely make an end of them, saith the Lord: [there shall be left] no grapes on the vine, and no figs on the fig-tree, and the leaf shall wither; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
“‘Aga m anapụ ha ihe owuwe ubi niile ha nwetara, otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara. Ha agaghị enwekwa mkpụrụ vaịnị, maọbụ mkpụrụ osisi fiig nʼelu osisi fiig ha. Akwụkwọ osisi ndị a niile ga-akpọnwụ. A ga-anapụkwa ha ihe niile m nyere ha.’”
14 “Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified cities, and let us be silent there; for the Lord our God hath put us to silence, and given us poison-water to drink; because we have sinned against the Lord.
Gịnị ka unu na-eme nʼebe a unu nọdụrụ ala? Kwakọtaanụ ihe unu niile. Ngwa, ka anyị gbapụnụ ọsọ gaa nʼobodo ndị ahụ niile e wusiri ike nọdụ nʼebe ahụ nwụọ! Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị amaala anyị ikpe ọnwụ. O nyela anyị mmiri e tinyere nsi ka anyị ṅụọ, nʼihi na anyị emehiela megide ya.
15 We hoped for peace, but no happiness is here; for a time of cure, and behold here is terror.”
Anyị lere anya udo, ma o nweghị ihe ọma ọbụla anyị hụrụ. Anyị lere anya ọgwụgwọ ọrịa anyị, maọbụ naanị ihe egwu ka anyị hụrụ.
16 From Dan was heard the snorting of his horses; at the sound of the neighing of his war-steeds trembleth the whole land: and they are come, and devour the land, and all that filleth it; the city, and those that dwell therein.
E sitere na Dan nụ ụda ịma imi ịnyịnya ndị iro. Ala a niile mara jijiji mgbe ha nụrụ akwa nke ịnyịnya ndị ahụ dị ike. Ha na-abịa ịla ala a na ihe niile dị nʼime ya nʼiyi. Ọ bụkwa otu ihe ahụ ka ha na-abịa ime obodo a na ndị bi nʼime ya.
17 For, behold, I will send out against you serpents, basilisks, for which there is no charm, and they shall bite you, saith the Lord.
“Lee, ana m ezibata agwọ ọjọọ, ndị na-atagbu atagbu, nʼetiti unu. Ajụala nke ọ dịkwaghị ụra ga-arata ha. Ana m ezibata ha ka ha taa unu.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
18 When I would cheer myself up against sorrow, my heart within me is pained.
Ọ ga-adị mma ma ọ bụrụ na m hụrụ onye ga-akasị m obi nʼime ọnọdụ iru ụjụ m, nʼihi na obi m na-ada mba nʼime m.
19 Behold [I hear] the voice of the complaint of the daughter of my people [coming] out of a far-off land: “Is the Lord not in Zion? is her king no more in her?” “Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with the vanities of the stranger?”
Gee ntị nụrụ akwa ndị m ka ọ na-ada site nʼebe dị anya. “Onyenwe anyị, ọ sitela na Zayọn pụọ? Ọ pụtara na Eze ha anọkwaghị nʼebe ahụ?” “Gịnị mere ha ji site nʼoyiyi a tụrụ atụ, na arụsị ndị mba ọzọ ha na-efe kpasuo m iwe?”
20 “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not yet helped.”
“Oge owuwe ihe ubi agafeela, leekwa na ọkọchị agabigakwala, ma a zọpụtabeghị anyị.”
21 Because of the breach of the daughter of my people am I broken: I am grieved; astonishment hath taken fast hold on me.
Ebe ọ bụ na a zọpịara ndị m, ọ bụkwa m ka azọpịara. Anam eru ụjụ, oke egwu jisikwara m aka ike.
22 Is there no [more] balm in Gil'ad? or is no physician there? why then is there not placed a plaster [on the wound of] the daughter of my people?
Ọ pụtara na o nweghị mmanụ otite na-eme ka ọnya laa dị na Gilead? Ọ bụ na e nwekwaghị dibịa nọ nʼebe ahụ? Gịnị mere o nweghị ọgwụgwọ dịrị ndị m nʼihi mmerụ ahụ ha niile?
