Jeremiah 7
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
၁ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အထံတော်က နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်သည် ယေရမိသို့ရောက်လာ၍၊ သင်သည် ဗိမာန် တော် တံခါးဝ၌ ရပ်လျက်ကြွေးကြော် ရမည့်စကားဟူ မူကား၊
2 Place thyself in the gate of the house of the Lord, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in by these gates to bow down before the Lord.
၂ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကိုးကွယ်ခြင်းငှါ၊ ဤတံခါးတို့ အတွင်းသို့ ဝင်သောယုဒအမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်ကို နားထောင်ကြလော့။
3 Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will permit you to dwell in this place.
၃ဣသရေလအမျိုး၏ ဘုရားသခင်၊ ကောင်းကင် ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့ဘာသာ ဓလေ့နှင့် သင်တို့ အကျင့်များတို့ကို ပြုပြင်ကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် သင်တို့ကို ဤအရပ်၌ ငါနေ စေမည်။
4 [But] do not rely on the words of falsehood, saying, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, [as] they [say].
၄ဤသည်ကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဗိမာန်တော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဗိမာန်တော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဗိမာန်တော်ဖြစ်သတည်းဟု မုသာ စကားကို ပြောသောသူတို့၌ မမှီဝဲကြနှင့်။
5 For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your deeds; if ye thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;
၅သင်တို့ ဘာသာဓလေ့နှင့် သင်တို့အကျင့်များ တို့ကို စုံလင်စွာ ပြုပြင်လျှင်၎င်း၊ အမှုသည်ချင်းတို့ကို သေချာစွာ တရားသဖြင့် စီရင်လျှင်၎င်း၊
6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, and walk not after other gods to your own hurt:
၆ဧည့်သည် အာဂန္တု၊ မိဘမရှိသောသူငယ်၊ မုတ်ဆိုးမကို မညှဉ်းဆဲ၊ အပြစ်မရှိသောသူ၏ အသက်ကိုဤအရပ်၌ မသတ်၊ ကိုယ်အကျိုးကို ဖျက်၍ အခြားတပါးသော ဘုရားတို့ကို မချဉ်းကပ်ဘဲ နေလျှင်၎င်း၊
7 Then will I permit you to dwell in this place, in the land that I have given to your fathers, from eternity to eternity.
၇သင်တို့ဘိုးဘေးတို့အား၊ ငါသည် အစဉ်မပြတ် ပေးသော ပြည်တည်းဟူသော ဤအရပ်ဌာန၌ သင်တို့ကို ငါနေစေမည်။
8 Behold, ye rely on the words of falsehood, that cannot profit.
၈အကျိုးမရှိဘဲ မုသာစကားကို ပြောသောသူတို့၌ သင်တို့သည် ခိုလှုံကြ၏။
9 How? will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Ba'al, and walk after other gods of which ye have no knowledge;
၉သင်တို့သည် သူ့ဥစ္စာကိုခိုးလျက်၊ လူအသက်ကို သတ်လျက်၊ သူ့မယားကိုပြစ်မှားလျက်၊ မဟုတ်မမှန်ဘဲ ကျိန်ဆိုလျက်၊ ဗာလဘုရားရှေ့၌ နံ့သာပေါင်းကို မီးရှို့ လျက်၊ ကိုယ်မသိဘူးသော အခြားတပါးသော ဘုရားတို့ နောက်သို့လိုက်လျက်နှင့်၊
10 And [then] come and stand before my presence in this house, which is called by my name, and say, “We are delivered;” in order to do all these abominations?
၁၀ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော ဤအိမ်တော်၌၊ ငါ့ရှေ့မှာဝင်၍ ရပ်လျက်၊ ဤရွံရှာဘွယ်သော အမှု အလုံးစုံတို့ကို ပြုသောကြောင့်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကယ် နှုတ်တော်မူခြင်း ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ခံရပါပြီဟု လျှောက်ရ ကြမည်လော။
11 Is then this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? [But] I also, behold, I have seen it, saith the Lord.
၁၁ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော ဤအိမ်တော်ကို၊ သင်တို့သည် ထားပြတွင်းကဲ့သို့ ထင်ကြသလော။ ဤအမှု ကို ငါ့ကိုယ်တိုင် မြင်ပြီဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
12 For go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did unto it because of the wickedness of my people Israel.
၁၂ရှေ့ဦးစွာငါ၏ နာမကို ငါတည်စေသောအရပ်၊ ရှိလောရွာ၌ရှိသော ငါ့အရပ်ဌာနသို့သွား၍၊ ငါ၏အမျိုး ဣသရေလလူတို့၏ အပြစ်ကြောင့်၊ ထိုအရပ်ကို အဘယ်သို့ငါပြုဘူးသည်ကို ကြည့်ရှုကြလော့။
13 And now, whereas ye have done all these acts, saith the Lord, and I spoke unto you, causing [the prophets] to rise up early and speaking, while ye would not hear; and I called you, but ye would not answer:
၁၃ယခုတွင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ဤအမှုအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ပြုသောကြောင့်၎င်း၊ ငါသည်စောစောထ၍ အထပ်ထပ်ပြောသော်လည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် နားမထောင်၊ ငါခေါ်၍ သင်တို့သည် မထူးသောကြောင့်၎င်း၊
14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, whereon ye rely, and unto the place which I have given to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
၁၄ရှိလောရွာကို ငါပြုသကဲ့သို့၊ ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော၊ သင်တို့ ခိုလှုံသော ဤအိမ်တော်၊ သင်တို့နှင့် ဘိုးဘေးတို့အား ငါပေးသော အရပ်ဌာနကို ငါပြုမည်။
15 And I will cast you out of my presence, as I have cast out all your brethren, all the seed of Ephraim.
၁၅သင်တို့ညီအစ်ကို ဧဖရိမ်အမျိုးသားရှိသမျှတို့ကို ငါနှင့်ထုတ်သကဲ့သို့၊ သင်တို့ကို ငါ့ထံမှ ငါနှင့်ထုတ်မည်။
16 But thou—pray not thou in behalf of this people, nor lift up in their behalf entreaty or prayer, nor make intercession to me; for I will not hear thee.
၁၆သင်သည်လည်း ဤလူမျိုးအဘို့ ပဌနာမပြုနှင့်။ သူတို့အဘို့ အော်ဟစ်ခြင်း၊ ဆုတောင်းခြင်းကို မပြုနှင့်။ ငါ့ကိုမသွေးဆောင်နှင့်။ သင်၏ စကားကို ငါနားမထောင်။
17 Dost thou not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
၁၇သူတို့သည် ယုဒမြို့များ၊ ယေရုရှလင်လမ်းများ တို့၌ ပြုကြသော အမှုကို မမြင်သလော။
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven, and they pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, in order to provoke me to anger.
၁၈ငါ့ကို နှောင့်ရှက်မည်အကြံနှင့်၊ ကောင်းကင် မိဖုရားအဘို့ မုန့်ပြားတို့ကို လုပ်၍၊ အခြားတပါးသော ဘုရားတို့ရှေ့မှာ သွန်းလောင်းရာ ပူဇော် သက္ကာကိုပြုခြင်း ငှါ၊ သားတို့သည် ထင်းခွေကြ၏။ အဘတို့သည် မီးထည့် ကြ၏။ မိန်းမတို့သည် မုန့်နယ်ကြ၏။
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord, [and] not themselves, to the shame of their own faces?
၁၉ထိုသို့ပြု၍ ငါ့ကိုနှောင့်ရှက်ကြသလော။ မိမိတို့ မျက်နှာကို ဖျက်မည်အကြောင်း၊ မိမိတို့ကိုယ်ကိုသာ နှောင့် ရှက်ကြသည်မဟုတ်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော် မူ၏။
20 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold my anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, over man, and over beast, and over the trees of the field, and over the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and it shall not be quenched.
၂၀သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည် ကား၊ ဤအရပ် ၌ရှိသောလူ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်၊ သစ်ပင်၊ မြေ အသီးအနှံအပေါ်မှာ ငါသည် ဒေသအမျက် မီးကို သွန်းလောင်း၍၊ ထိုမီးသည် မငြိမ်းဘဲလောင်လိမ့်မည်။
21 Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Add your burnt-offerings unto your peace-sacrifices, and eat the flesh thereof.
၂၁ဣသရေလအမျိုး၏ ဘုရားသခင်၊ ကောင်းကင် ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့ မီးရှို့ရာ ယဇ်များကို အခြားသော ယဇ်များနှင့် အတူထား၍၊ အမဲသားကိုစားကြလော့။
22 For I spoke not with your fathers, and I commanded them not on the day of my bringing them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt-offering or sacrifice;
၂၂အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့ ဘိုးဘေးများကို အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်မှ ငါနှုတ်ဆောင်သောအခါ၊ မီးရှို့ရာယဇ် အစရှိသော ယဇ်များအတွက် သူတို့ကို ငါမှာထားသည် မဟုတ်။
23 But this thing did I command them, saying, Hearken to my voice, and I will be unto you for a God, and ye shall be unto me for a people; and walk ye altogether on the way which I may command you, in order that it may be well unto you.
၂၃ငါမှာထားသောအရာဟူမူကား၊ ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်ကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင်၊ ငါသည်သင်တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင်ဖြစ်မည်။ သင်တို့သည်လည်း၊ ငါ၏လူမျိုးဖြစ်ကြ လိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့သည် ကိုယ်အကျိုးကို စောင့်လိုသောငှါ၊ ငါစီရင်သမျှသော တရားလမ်းသို့ လိုက်ရကြမည်ဟု မှာထား၏။
24 Yet they hearkened not, and inclined not their ear; but they walked in the counsels, in the stubbornness of their evil heart; and they went backward, and not forward:
၂၄သို့ရာတွင်၊ သူတို့သည် နားမထောင်၊ နားကို မလှည့်ဘဲ ဆိုးညစ်သော နှလုံးခိုင်မာသည်နှင့်အညီ ကျင့်ကြံပြုမူ၍ မျက်နှာမပြု၊ ကျောခိုင်းလျက် နေကြ၏။
25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt until this day; and I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, sending them daily in the morning early;
၂၅သင်တို့အဘများသည် အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်က ထွက် သွားသောနေ့မှစ၍ ယနေ့တိုင်အောင်၊ ငါသည် နေ့တိုင်း စောစောထ၍၊ ငါ၏ကျွန်ပရောဖက်အပေါင်းတို့ကို သင်တို့ရှိရာသို့ အထပ်ထပ်စေလွှတ်သော်လည်း၊
26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, and inclined not their ear; but they hardened their neck; they did worse than their fathers.
၂၆သင်တို့သည် ငါ့စကားကို နားမထောင်၊ မနာ မယူဘဲနေ၍ မိမိတို့ လည်ပင်းကို ခိုင်မာစေသဖြင့်၊ အဘများထက်သာ၍ ဆိုးသွမ်းကြ၏။
27 And if thou speak unto them all these words, and they will not hearken to thee; and if thou call unto them, and they will not answer thee:
၂၇သင်သည် ဤစကားအလုံးစုံကို သူတို့အား ပြောသော်လည်း၊ သူတို့သည် နားမထောင်ကြ။ ခေါ်သော် လည်း မထူးကြ။
28 Then shalt thou say unto them, This is the nation that hearken not to the voice of the Lord their God, and accept not correction; lost is the truth, and is obliterated from their mouth.
၂၈သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်ကလည်း၊ ဤလူမျိုးသည် မိမိတို့ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏စကားတော်ကို နား မထောင်၊ ဆုံးမ၍ မနိုင်သောအမျိုး ဖြစ်၏။ သစ္စာစကား ကိုမပြော၊ သစ္စာပျက်သော အမျိုးဖြစ်သည်ဟု သူတို့အား ပြောဆိုရမည်။
29 Cut off thy flowing hair, and cast it away, and take up on mountain-tops a lamentation; for rejected hath the Lord and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
၂၉သင်၏သစ္စာဆံပင်ကို ရိတ်၍ ပစ်လိုက်လော့။ မြင့်သောအရပ်၌ မြည်တမ်းခြင်းကို ပြုလော့။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မိမိလူမျိုးကို ပယ်တော်မူပြီ။ အမျက်တော်သင့်ရောက်သော အမျိုးကို စွန့်ပစ်တော် မူပြီ။
30 For the children of Judah have done what is evil in my eyes, saith the Lord: they have set up their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
၃၀ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ယုဒ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ငါ့ရှေ့မှာဆိုးသော အမှုကိုပြုကြပြီ။ ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော အိမ်တော်ကို ညစ်ညူးစေခြင်း ငှါ၊ ရွံရှာဘွယ်သောအရာတို့ကို သွင်းထားကြပြီ။
31 And they have built the high-places of Thophet, which is in the valley of Ben-hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I had not commanded, and which never came into my mind.
၃၁ငါမမှာထား၊ ငါအလျှင်းအလိုမရှိသော်လည်း၊ သူတို့သားသမီးများကို မီးရှို့ခြင်းငှါ ဟိန္နုံသား၏ချိုင့်၌ ရှိသော တောဖက်ကုန်းတို့ကို တည်ကြပြီ။
32 Therefore, behold days are coming, saith the Lord, that it shall not be called any more Thophet, or The valley of Ben-hinnom, but The valley of slaughter: and they shall bury in Thophet, for want of room.
၃၂သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ထိုချိုင့်ကို တောဖက်ချိုင့်ဟူ၍မခေါ်၊ ဟိန္နုံသား၏ ချိုင့် ဟူ၍မခေါ်၊ ကွပ်မျက်ရာ ချိုင့်ဟူ၍ ခေါ်ရသော အချိန် ကာလရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ တောဖက်၌ မြေလွတ်မရှိသည် တိုင်အောင် သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
33 And the carcasses of this people shall become food unto the fowls of the heavens, and unto the beasts of the earth, with none to chase them away.
၃၃ဤလူမျိုးအသေကောင်တို့သည် မိုဃ်းကောင်း ကင်ငှက်နှင့် တောသားရဲစားစရာဘို့ ဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုတိရစ္ဆာန်တို့ကို အဘယ်သူမျှ မမောင်းရ။
34 And I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of gladness, and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride; for a desert shall the land become.
၃၄ယုဒမြို့များ၊ ယေရုရှလင်လမ်းများတို့၌ ဝမ်း မြောက်သောအသံ၊ ရွှင်လန်းသောအသံ၊ မင်္ဂလာဆောင် သတို့သားအသံနှင့်မင်္ဂလာဆောင် သတို့သမီးအသံကိုငါစဲစေမည်။ တပြည်လုံးသည် လူဆိတ်ညံရာအရပ်ဖြစ်လိမ့် မည်ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
