Jeremiah 51
1 Thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will awaken against Babylon, and against those that dwell in the midst of my opponents, a destroying wind;
੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਵਾ ਚਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ, ਲੇਬ-ਕਾਮਾਈ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ।
2 And I will send out unto Babylon fanners, and they shall fan her, and shall empty out her land; for they shall be against her round about on the day of trouble.
੨ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਲਈ ਉਡਾਵੇ ਘੱਲਾਂਗਾ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾਉਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਲਿਓਂ-ਦੁਆਲਿਓਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
3 Let the archer come against any one that bendeth his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his armor: and spare ye not her young men: destroy ye utterly all her host.
੩ਤੀਰ-ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਣੁੱਖ ਤੀਰ-ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਜੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਫ਼ਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ!
4 And the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are pierced through, in her streets.
੪ਉਹ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ, ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ।
5 For not widowed are Israel and Judah of their God, of the Lord of hosts; for the land of those was filled with guiltiness against the Holy One of Israel.
੫ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਨਾ ਗਏ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
6 Flee ye out of the midst of Babylon, and save ye every man his life: perish not for her iniquity; for this is a time of vengeance unto the Lord; a recompense is he paying out unto her.
੬ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰੋਂ ਨੱਠੋ, ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਵੇ! ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਓ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਟਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
7 A golden cup hath Babylon been in the hand of the Lord, that made drunken all the earth: of her wine have nations drunk; therefore are the nations rendered mad.
੭ਬਾਬਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਕਟੋਰਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਈ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਧ ਪੀਤੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਖੀਵੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ।
8 Suddenly is Babylon fallen and broken: wail ye for her; fetch balm for her wound, perhaps she may be healed.
੮ਬਾਬਲ ਮਲਕੜੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭੰਨਿਆ ਤੋੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੋਵੋ! ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਲਈ ਬਲਸਾਨ ਲਓ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ।
9 “We would have healed Babylon, but she was not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one unto his own country; for her punishment reacheth unto the heavens, and it is lifted up even to the skies.”
੯ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡੋ, ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਚੱਲੀਏ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉੱਠ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
10 The Lord hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us relate in Zion the work of the Lord our God.
੧੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਧਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਆਓ, ਸੀਯੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰੀਏ।
11 Make bright the arrows; fill the quivers: the Lord hath awakened the spirit of the kings of Media; for against Babylon is his intention, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance for his temple.
੧੧ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੱਖਾ ਕਰੋ, ਢਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਫੜੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮਾਦੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਰੋਜਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ, ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਹੈ!
12 Against the walls of Babylon lift up the standard, strengthen the watch, set up the watchmen, make ready the ambushes; for the Lord hath both intended and done what he had spoken against the inhabitants of Babylon.
੧੨ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਝੰਡਾ ਖੜਾ ਕਰੋ, ਪਹਿਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਕਰੋ, ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰੋ, ਘਾਤ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਕੀਤਾ ਵੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, great in treasures, thy end is come, the full measure of thy selfish robbery.
੧੩ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੀਏ, ਤੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤ ਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤੇਰੀ ਮਾਰ-ਧਾੜ ਦਾ ਹਾੜਾ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
14 Sworn hath the Lord of hosts by himself, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with locusts: and they shall lift up the battle-cry against thee.
੧੪ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਭਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਫਤਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਰਾ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ!
15 He made the earth by his power, he established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding he stretched out the heavens.
੧੫ਉਸ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਉਸ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਾਲ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਣਿਆ।
16 At the sound when he giveth a multitude of waters in the heavens, and causeth clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; when he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures:
੧੬ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਕੱਢਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵਰਖਾ ਲਈ ਬਿਜਲੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਵਾ ਵਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
17 Then standeth every man as brutish without knowledge; ashamed is every goldsmith because of the graven image; for falsehood is his molten work, and there is no breath therein.
੧੭ਹਰੇਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਜਿਹਾ ਵਹਿਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨਹੀਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰਾਫ਼ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੂਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਢਾਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਮੂਰਤ ਝੂਠੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ।
18 They are vanity, the work of deception: in the time of their punishment shall they vanish.
੧੮ਉਹ ਫੋਕੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਧੋਖੇ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
19 Not like these is the portion of Jacob; for He is the former of all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance: The Lord of hosts is his name.
੧੯ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਦਾ ਗੋਤ ਹੈ, - ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ।
20 Thou art a hammer unto me, weapons of war; and I strike down with thee nations, and I destroy with thee kingdoms;
੨੦ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਹਥੌੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨਾਂਗਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
21 And I strike down with thee the horse and his rider; and I strike down with thee the chariot and its rider;
੨੧ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ।
22 And I strike down with thee man and woman; and I strike down with thee the aged and the lad; and I strike down with thee the young man and the virgin:
੨੨ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੁਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਭਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ।
23 And I strike down with thee the shepherd and his flock; and I strike down with thee the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and I strike down with thee governors and rulers.
੨੩ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਈਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ।
24 But [now] will I repay unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion before your eyes, saith the Lord.
੨੪ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਬਦਲਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
25 Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the Lord, which destroyest all the earth; and I will stretch out my hand over thee, and I will roll thee down from the rocks, and will render thee a burnt mountain.
੨੫ਵੇਖ, ਹੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਬਤ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਪਸਾਰਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਟਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਰੇੜ੍ਹ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਰਬਤ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
26 And they shall not take from thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but everlasting ruins shalt thou be, saith the Lord.
੨੬ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੱਥਰ ਖੂੰਜੇ ਲਈ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਲੈਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
27 Lift ye up a standard in the land, blow ye the cornet among the nations, make ready against her nations, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz; appoint against her a commander; cause the horses to come up like the hairy locusts.
੨੭ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੰਡਾ ਖੜਾ ਕਰੋ, ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਫੂਕੋ, ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ, ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੁਲਾਓ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਅਰਾਰਾਤ, ਮਿੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਕਨਜ਼ ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਓ, ਵਾਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਲਾ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆਓ!
28 Make ready against her the nations with the kings of Media, its governors, and all its rulers, and all the land of their dominion.
੨੮ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ, ਮਾਦੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਈਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ!
29 And the earth quaketh and trembleth; for every one of the purposes of the Lord is fulfilled against Babylon, to change the land of Babylon into a desolate country without an inhabitant.
੨੯ਉਹ ਦੇਸ ਕੰਬਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰੋਜਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕਾਇਮ ਹਨ, ਭਈ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਕਰੇ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਵੱਸੇ।
30 The mighty men of Babylon have ceased to fight, they sit still in [their] strongholds; their might is vanished; they are become as women: they have burnt her dwelling-places; her bars are broken.
੩੦ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਲੜਨਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਰਮਤਾਈ ਘੱਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਸ ਸੜ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਰਲ ਤੋੜੇ ਗਏ।
31 One runner shall run to meet another runner, and one messenger to meet another messenger, to tell unto the king of Babylon that his city is captured at all ends,
੩੧ਇੱਕ ਨੱਠਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੱਠਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਨੱਠੇਗਾ, ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ, ਭਈ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹਰ ਪਾਸਿਓਂ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
32 And that the passages have been seized, and that they have burnt the reeds with fire, and that the men of war are affrighted.
੩੨ਪੱਤਣ ਵੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਏ ਗਏ, ਕਾਨੇ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜੇ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਏ!
33 For thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, the daughter of Babylon is like a threshing-floor, at the time they thresh therein; but yet a little while more, when the time of harvest shall come for her.
੩੩ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਪਿੜ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਦ ਗਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਥੋੜਾ ਚਿਰ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਫਸਲ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
34 “Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon devoured me, he crushed me, he set me down as an empty vessel, he swallowed me up like a huge serpent, he filled his belly with my delicacies: he drove me out.
੩੪ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੱਖ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਰਾਲ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੜੱਪ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਿਆਂ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ!
35 the violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon,” will the inhabitress of Zion say; and “My blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea,” will Jerusalem say.
੩੫ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੇ ਵੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਖੇਗੀ, ਮੇਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਬਾਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇ! ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਆਖੇਗੀ, ਮੇਰਾ ਲਹੂ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇ!
36 Therefore thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will contend in thy cause, and execute vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and cause her springs to fail.
੩੬ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਆਪ ਲੜਾਂਗਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਮੈਂ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੋਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
37 And Babylon shall become ruinous heaps, a dwelling-place for monsters, an astonishment, and a derision, without an inhabitant.
੩੭ਬਾਬਲ ਥੇਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਗਿੱਦੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਹ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੂੰ-ਸੂੰ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ।
38 Together like lions shall they roar: they shall yell like the lions' whelps.
੩੮ਉਹ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਜੁਆਨ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬੁੱਕਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ੇਰਨੀ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਗੁਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
39 When they are heated will I prepare their drinking-feasts, and I will make them drunken, in order that they may be joyful, and [then] sleep a perpetual sleep, and not awake again, saith the Lord.
੩੯ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਸਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਭਈ ਉਹ ਖੀਵੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਣ, ਸਦਾ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਸੌਂ ਜਾਣ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਗਣ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like wethers with he-goats.
੪੦ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਮੇਂਢਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਕਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਘਾਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲਾਹ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ।
41 How is Sheshach captured! and how is conquered the praise of the whole earth! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
੪੧ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਕ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਫੜੀ ਗਈ! ਬਾਬਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
42 The sea is come up over Babylon: with the multitude of its waves is she covered.
੪੨ਬਾਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਠਾਠਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਫ਼ਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
43 Her cities are become desolate places, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein not any man shall dwell, and through which no son of man shall pass along.
੪੩ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਥਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ, ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ।
44 And I will inflict punishment on Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth what he hath swallowed up out of his mouth; and nations shall not assemble together like a stream unto him any more; yea, the wall of Babylon also is fallen.
੪੪ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਿਗਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਕੱਢਾਂਗਾ, ਕੌਮਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਵੱਗਣਗੀਆਂ, ਹਾਂ, ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਢਾਹੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ!
45 Go ye out of the midst of her, my people, and save ye every man his life from the fierceness of the anger of the Lord.
੪੫ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਜਾ, ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਵੇ!
46 And so that your heart may not faint, and ye fear at the report that is heard in the land: when the report cometh in one year, and after that in another year cometh another report, and when violence [be done] in the land, [by] ruler against ruler.
੪੬ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਦਿਲ ਘਬਰਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਡਰੋ, ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਅਵਾਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਣਨ ਕਰਕੇ, - ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ, ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੱਕਾ ਧੋੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਕਮ, ਹਾਕਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
47 Therefore, behold, days are coming, when I will inflict punishment on the graven images of Babylon, and her whole land shall be put to shame, and all her slain shall fail in the midst of her.
੪੭ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਘੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਢੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਗੇ।
48 And then shall the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, sing because of Babylon; for from the north shall come unto her the destroyers, saith the Lord.
੪੮ਤਦ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਬਾਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ਗਜਾਉਣਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਲੁੱਟਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
49 Also Babylon is destined to fall, O ye slain ones of Israel, also at Babylon fall the slain of all the land.
੪੯ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਵੱਢੇ ਹੋਏ ਡੇਗੇ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਢੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਬਲ ਲਈ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ!
50 [But] ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember afar off the Lord, and let Jerusalem rise up in your heart.
੫੦ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਏ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਖਲੋਵੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਵੇ।
51 “We had been made ashamed, because we had heard reproach: confusion had covered our faces; because strangers were come into the sanctuaries of the Lord's house.”
੫੧ਅਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਹਨੇ ਸੁਣੇ ਹਨ, ਨਮੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਾਏ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ!
52 Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will inflict punishment on her graven images: and through all her land shall groan the deadly wounded.
੫੨ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਘੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਢੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੂੰਗਣਗੇ!
53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength; yet from me should destroyers come unto her, saith the Lord.
੫੩ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਵੇ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਉਚਿਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰੇ, ਤਦ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
54 A sound of a painful cry cometh from Babylon, and of a great breach from the land of the Chaldeans;
੫੪ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ, ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭੰਨ ਤੋੜ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ!
55 Because the Lord wasteth Babylon, and destroyeth out of her the loud noise; but their waves roar like great waters, the noise of their voice is sent forth;
੫੫ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਠਿੱਲਾਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਗੱਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਉਠਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
56 Because the destroyer is come over her, over Babylon, and her mighty men are caught, every one of their bows is broken; for the God of recompenses, the Lord, will surely requite.
੫੬ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਫੜੇ ਗਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਣੁੱਖ ਤੋੜੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤਾਂ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਦਲਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ!
57 And I will make drunken her princes, and her wise men, her governors, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not awake again, saith the King, The Lord of hosts is his name.
੫੭ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਈਸਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੀਵੇ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਸੌਂ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਗਣਗੇ! ਰਾਜਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੈ।
58 Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Every one of the broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly overthrown, and her high gates shall be burnt with fire; so that nations shall have labored in vain, and the people for the fire, and so shall they have wearied themselves.
੫੮ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਚੌੜੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਢਾਹੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਲੋਕ ਫੋਕੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਅੱਗ ਲਈ ਥੱਕ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Serayah the son of Neriyah, the son of Machseyah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah unto Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Serayah was chief chamberlain.
੫੯ਇਹ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਮਹਸੇਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਸਾਲ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੋਦੀ ਸੀ
60 And Jeremiah wrote down all the evil that should come upon Babylon in one book, namely, all these words that are written concerning Babylon.
੬੦ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬਾਬਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ
61 And Jeremiah said to Serayah, As thou comest to Babylon, see to it, that thou read all these words;
੬੧ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹੇਂ
62 And thou shalt say, O Lord, thou thyself hast spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, so that there shall not be in it an inhabitant, either man or beast; but that it shall become a desolate place for ever.
੬੨ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਲਈ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਭਈ ਇਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਡੰਗਰ ਤੱਕ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
63 And it shall be, when thou hast finished reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and throw it into the midst of the Euphrates;
੬੩ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਲਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਥਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇਵੀਂ
64 And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise again from the evil that I will bring upon her: and her people shall be wearied. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
੬੪ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ, ਬਾਬਲ ਉਸ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡੁੱਬ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਨਾ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਥੱਕ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਇਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਹਨ।
