Jeremiah 47

1 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before the time that Pharaoh smote Gazzah.

Ang pulong ni Jehova nga midangat kang Jeremias nga manalagna mahitungod sa mga Filistehanon, sa wala pa samari ni Faraon ang Gaza.

2 Thus hath said the Lord, Behold, waters are coming up out of the north, and they shall become an overflowing stream, and shall overflow the land, and what filleth it; the city, and those that dwell therein: and the men shall cry aloud, and every inhabitant of the land shall wail.

Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Ania karon, ang mga tubig mingtubo gikan sa amihanan, ug mahimong usa ka sapa nga magaawas, ug mosalanap sa yuta ug sa tanan nga anaa niana, sa ciudad ug kanila nga nanagpuyo niana; ug ang mga tawo maninggit, ug ang tanang mga pumoluyo sa yuta managbakho.

3 Because of the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his stud-horses, because of the rushing sound of his chariots, the rumbling of his wheels, fathers do not turn round to their children from their feebleness of hands;

Sa dinaguok sa pinagakpak sa mga tiil sa iyang makusganong mga kabayo, sa pagdasdas sa iyang mga carro nga iggugubat, sa kinagalkal sa iyang mga ligid, ang mga amaban ili na molingi sa pagtan-aw sa ilang mga anak tungod sa kaluiya sa mga kamot;

4 Because of the day that cometh to devastate all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth; for the Lord devastateth the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphthor.

Tungod sa adlaw ng amoabut sa paglaglag sa tanang mga Filistehanon, sa pagputol gikan sa Tiro ug sa Sidon sa tanang mga magtaabang nga nanagpabilin: kay laglagon ni Jehova ang mga Filistehanon, ang salin sa pulo sa Caphtor.

5 Baldness is come upon Gazzah; ruined is Ashkelon with the remnant of their valley: how long yet wilt thou cut thyself?

Ang pagklapagdot midangat sa Gasa; ang Askalon ginahatud sa pagkawalay nahut, ang salin sa ilang walog; unsa ba ang kadugayon nga putlon mo ang imong kaugalingon?

6 Woe! thou sword of the Lord, how long yet wilt thou not be quiet? withdraw thyself into thy scabbard, take thee rest, and be still.

Oh ikaw nga espada ni Jehova kanus-a pa ba ikaw mohunong? sumulod ka sa imong sakoban; pamahulay ka, ug pumuyo.

7 Yet how canst thou be quiet? When the Lord hath given it a charge, against Ashkelon, and against the sea-coast—thither hath he destined it.

Unsaon mo paghlum sanglit si Jehova nagsugo kanimo. Batok sa Askalon, ug batok sa kabaybayonan, didto kini gitudlo niya.
