Jeremiah 45

1 The word which Jeremiah the prophet spoke unto Baruch the son of Neriyah, when he wrote these words in a book out of the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah, saying,

Palabra que habló Jeremías profeta a Baruc, hijo de Nerías, cuando escribía en el libro estas palabras de la boca de Jeremías, el año cuarto de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, diciendo:

2 Thus hath said the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning thee, O Baruch:

Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel a ti, Baruc:

3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my pain; I am wearied in my sighing, and rest have I not found;

Dijiste: ¡Ay de mi ahora! porque me ha añadido Jehová tristeza sobre mi dolor: trabajé con mi gemido, y no he hallado descanso.

4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, Thus hath the Lord said, Behold, what I have built will I pull down, and what I have planted I will pluck up; and so it is with this whole land.

Decirle has así: Así dijo Jehová: He aquí que yo destruyo los que edifiqué, y arranco los que planté, y toda esta tierra.

5 And wouldst thou indeed seek great things for thyself? seek them not; for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord; but I will give thy life unto thee as a booty in all the places whither thou mayest go.

¿Y tú buscas para ti grandezas? No busques; porque he aquí que yo traigo mal sobre toda carne, dijo Jehová, y a ti darte he tu vida por despojo en todos los lugares donde fueres.
