Jeremiah 45

1 The word which Jeremiah the prophet spoke unto Baruch the son of Neriyah, when he wrote these words in a book out of the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah, saying,

Das Wort, das Jeremias, der Prophet, zu Baruch, Sohn des Neria, sprach. Er hatte diese Reden in ein Buch geschrieben

2 Thus hath said the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning thee, O Baruch:

im vierten Jahr des Judakönigs und Josiassohnes Jojakim, nach Angabe des Jeremias:

3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my pain; I am wearied in my sighing, and rest have I not found;

"So spricht er Herr, Gott Israels, von dir, Baruch: 'Du sprachest: Wehe mir! Denn meinen Schmerz vermehrt der Herr durch Kummer; von meinem Seufzen bin ich müde; ich finde keine Ruhe.'

4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, Thus hath the Lord said, Behold, what I have built will I pull down, and what I have planted I will pluck up; and so it is with this whole land.

So sprich zu ihm: 'So spricht der Herr: Was ich gebaut, das reiß ich ein; was ich gepflanzt, das reiß ich aus, das ganze Land, das mir gehört.

5 And wouldst thou indeed seek great things for thyself? seek them not; for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord; but I will give thy life unto thee as a booty in all the places whither thou mayest go.

Und du verlangst für dich so Großes? Verlang es nicht! Ich bringe Unheil über alles Fleisch.' Ein Spruch des Herrn. Dein Leben gebe ich zur Beute dir an jenem Ort, wohin du gehen willst.
