Jeremiah 32
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord in the tenth year of Zedekiah the king of Judah, which is the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.
Dies ist das Wort, das vom HERRN geschah zu Jeremia im zehnten Jahr Zedekias, des Königs Judas, welches ist das achtzehnte Jahr Nebukadnezars.
2 And at that time the king of Babylon's army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the house of the king of Judah;
Dazumal belagerte das Heer des Königs zu Babel Jerusalem. Aber der Prophet Jeremia lag gefangen im Vorhofe des Gefängnisses am Hause des Königs Judas,
3 Because Zedekiah the king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore art thou prophesying, saying, Thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will give up this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall capture it.
dahin Zedekia, der König Judas, ihn hatte lassen verschließen und gesagt: Warum weissagest du und sprichst: So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich gebe diese Stadt in die Hände des Königs zu Babel, und er soll sie gewinnen,
4 And Zedekiah the king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, because he shall surely be given up into the hand of the king of Babylon, and his mouth shall speak to his mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;
und Zedekia, der König Judas, soll den Chaldäern nicht entrinnen, sondern ich will ihn dem Könige zu Babel in die Hände geben, daß er mündlich mit ihm reden und mit seinen Augen ihn sehen soll;
5 And to Babylon shall he lead Zedekiah, and there shall he remain until I think of him, saith the Lord: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.
und er wird Zedekia gen Babel führen, da soll er auch bleiben, bis daß ich ihn heimsuche, spricht der HERR; denn ob ihr schon wider die Chaldäer streitet, soll euch doch nichts gelingen.
6 And Jeremiah said, The word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Und Jeremia sprach: Es ist des HERRN Wort geschehen zu mir und spricht:
7 Behold, Chanamel the son of Shallum thy uncle is coming unto thee, saying, Buy for thyself my field that is in 'Anathoth; for unto thee belongeth the right of redemption to buy it.
Siehe, Hanameel, der Sohn Sallums, deines Vetters, kommt zu dir und wird sagen: Lieber, kaufe du meinen Acker zu Anathoth; denn du hast das nächste Freundrecht dazu, daß du ihn kaufen sollst.
8 And there came to me Chanamel my uncle's son according to the word of the Lord into the court of the prison, and he said unto me, Buy, I pray thee, my field, that is in 'Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for to thee belongeth the right of inheritance, and to thee belongeth the redemption, buy it for thyself: then did I know that it was the word of the Lord.
Also kam Hanameel, meines Vetters Sohn, wie der HERR gesagt hatte, zu mir vor den Hof des Gefängnisses und sprach zu mir: Lieber, kaufe meinen Acker zu Anathoth, der im Lande Benjamin liegt; denn du hast Erbrecht dazu und du bist der Nächste; Lieber, kaufe ihn! Da merkte ich, daß es des HERRN Wort wäre,
9 And I bought the field from Chanamel my uncle's son, that is in 'Anathoth; and I weighed out unto him the money, seven shekels, and ten pieces of silver.
und kaufte den Acker von Hanameel, meines Vetters Sohn, zu Anathoth und wog ihm das Geld dar, sieben Sekel und zehn Silberlinge,
10 And I wrote it in a deed, and sealed it, and had it certified by witnesses, and weighed the money in balances.
und schrieb einen Brief und versiegelte ihn und nahm Zeugen dazu und wog das Geld dar auf einer Waage.
11 And I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, according to the law and custom, and that which was open;
Und nahm zu mir den versiegelten Kaufbrief nach dem Recht und Gewohnheit und eine offene Abschrift
12 And I gave the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriyah, the son of Machseyah, before the eyes of Chanamel my kinsman, and before the eyes of the witnesses that had signed the deed of the purchase, before the eyes of all the Jews that were sitting in the court of the prison.
und gab den Kaufbrief Baruch, dem Sohn Nerias, des Sohns Mahasejas, in Gegenwart Hanameels, meines Vetters, und der Zeugen, die im Kaufbriefe geschrieben stunden, und aller Juden, die am Hofe des Gefängnisses wohneten,
13 And I charged Baruch before their eyes, saying,
und befahl Baruch vor ihren Augen und sprach:
14 Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase, both the sealed, and this open deed, and place them in an earthen vessel, in order that they may last many days.
So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Nimm diese Briefe, den versiegelten Kaufbrief samt dieser offenen Abschrift und lege sie in ein irden Gefäß, daß sie lange bleiben mögen.
15 For thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall there be bought houses and fields and vineyards in this land.
Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Noch soll man Häuser, Äcker und Weinberge kaufen in diesem Lande.
16 And I prayed to the Lord after I had delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriyah, saying,
Und da ich den Kaufbrief hatte Baruch, dem Sohn Nerias, gegeben, betete ich zum HERRN und sprach:
17 Ah Lord Eternal! behold, it is thou that hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thy outstretched arm; nothing is too wonderful for thee;
Ach, HERR HERR, siehe, du hast Himmel und Erde gemacht durch deine große Kraft und durch deinen ausgestreckten Arm, und ist kein Ding vor dir unmöglich;
18 Thou exercisest kindness unto the thousandth [generation], and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers unto the bosom of their children after them; [thou art] the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts is his name;
der du wohltust viel Tausenden und vergiltst die Missetat der Väter in den Busen ihrer Kinder nach ihnen, du großer und starker Gott; HERR Zebaoth ist dein Name;
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in execution: [thou] whose eyes are open over all the ways of the sons of man, to give unto every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;
groß von Rat und mächtig von Tat; und deine Augen stehen offen über alle Wege der Menschenkinder, daß du einem jeglichen gebest nach seinem Wandel und nach der Frucht seines Wesens;
20 Who hast displayed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, up to this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and thou hast made thyself a name, as it is at this day;
der du in Ägyptenland hast Zeichen und Wunder getan bis auf diesen Tag, beide, an Israel und Menschen, und hast dir einen Namen gemacht, wie er heutigestages ist,
21 And thou didst bring forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
und hast dein Volk Israel aus Ägyptenland geführet durch Zeichen und Wunder, durch eine mächtige Hand, durch ausgestreckten Arm und durch groß Schrecken
22 And thou gavest them this land, which thou hadst sworn to their fathers to give unto them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
und hast ihnen dies Land gegeben, welches du ihren Vätern geschworen hattest, daß du es ihnen geben wolltest, ein Land, da Milch und Honig innen fleußt,
23 And they came in, and took possession of it; but they hearkened not to thy voice, and in thy law they did not walk; all that thou hadst commanded them to do they did not do: and thou hast therefore caused all this evil to befall them.
und da sie hineinkamen und es besaßen, gehorchten sie deiner Stimme nicht, wandelten auch nicht nach deinem Gesetze, und alles, was du ihnen gebotest, daß sie tun sollten, das ließen sie, darum du auch ihnen all dies Unglück ließest widerfahren:
24 Behold the mounds reach unto the city to capture it; and the city is given up into the hand of the Chaldeans, who fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.
Siehe, diese Stadt ist belagert, daß sie gewonnen und vor Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz in der Chaldäer Hände, welche wider sie streiten, gegeben werden muß; und wie du geredet hast, so gehet es, das siehest du;
25 And yet thou hast said unto me, O Lord Eternal, Buy for thyself the field for money, and have it certified by witnesses: while the city is given up into the hand of the Chaldeans.
und du, HERR HERR, sprichst zu mir: Kaufe du einen Acker um Geld und nimm Zeugen dazu, so doch die Stadt in der Chaldäer Hände gegeben wird?
26 Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying,
Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu Jeremia und sprach:
27 Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: shall any thing be too wonderful for me?
Siehe, ich, der HERR, bin ein Gott alles Fleisches. Sollte mir etwas unmöglich sein?
28 Therefore thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will give up this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, and he shall capture it:
Darum so spricht der HERR also: Siehe, ich gebe diese Stadt in der Chaldäer Hände und in die Hand Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel; und er soll sie gewinnen.
29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses upon the roofs of which they have offered incense unto Ba'al, and have poured out drink-offerings unto other gods, in order to provoke me to anger;
Und die Chaldäer so wider diese Stadt streiten, werden hereinkommen und sie mit Feuer anstecken und verbrennen samt den Häusern, da sie auf den Dächern Baal geräuchert und andern Göttern Trankopfer geopfert haben, auf daß sie mich erzürneten.
30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have been doing only what is evil in my eyes from their youth; for the children of Israel have been only provoking me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the Lord.
Denn die Kinder Israel und die Kinder Juda haben von ihrer Jugend auf getan, das mir übel gefällt, und die Kinder Israel haben mich erzürnet durch ihrer Hände Werk, spricht der HERR.
31 For to excite my anger and my fury hath been unto me this city from the day that they built it, even until this day; so that I will remove it from before my presence:
Denn seit der Zeit diese Stadt gebauet ist, bis auf diesen Tag, hat sie mich zornig und grimmig gemacht, daß ich sie muß von meinem Angesicht wegtun
32 Because of all the wickedness of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
um all der Bosheit willen der Kinder Israel und der Kinder Juda, die sie getan haben, daß sie mich erzürneten. Sie, ihre Könige, Fürsten, Priester und Propheten, und die in Juda und Jerusalem wohnen,
33 And they turned unto me the back, and not the face: though [my prophets] taught them, rising up early and teaching; yet they hearkened not to receive instruction.
haben mir den Rücken und nicht das Angesicht zugekehret, wiewohl ich sie stets lehren ließ; aber sie wollten nicht hören noch sich bessern.
34 But they placed their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.
Dazu haben sie ihre Greuel in das Haus gesetzt, das von mir den Namen hat, daß sie es verunreinigten,
35 And they built the high-places of Ba'al, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through [the fire] unto Molech; which I had not commanded them, and which had not come into my mind, to practise this abomination, in order to mislead Judah to sin.
und haben die Höhen des Baal gebauet im Tal Ben-Hinnom, daß sie ihre Söhne und Töchter dem Moloch verbrenneten, davon ich ihnen nichts befohlen habe, und ist mir nie in Sinn kommen, daß sie solchen Greuel tun sollten, damit sie Juda also zu Sünden brächten.
36 But now, therefore, thus hath said the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, it is given up into the hand of the king of Babylon through the sword, and through the famine, and through the pestilence:
Und nun, um deswillen spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels, also von dieser Stadt, davon ihr saget, daß sie werde vor Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz in die Hände des Königs zu Babel gegeben:
37 Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, whither I have driven them in my anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them back again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell in safety;
Siehe, ich will sie sammeln aus allen Landen, dahin ich sie verstoße durch meinen großen Zorn, Grimm und Unbarmherzigkeit, und will sie wiederum an diesen Ort bringen, daß sie sollen sicher wohnen.
38 And they shall be unto me for a people, and I will be unto them for a God:
Und sie sollen mein Volk sein, so will ich ihr Gott sein
39 And I will give them one heart, and one manner, to fear me at all times, that it may be well with them, and with their children after them;
und will ihnen einerlei Herz und Wesen geben, daß sie mich fürchten sollen ihr Leben lang, auf daß ihnen und ihren Kindern nach ihnen wohlgehe.
40 And I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good on my part; and my fear will I place in their heart, so that they may not depart from me.
Und will einen ewigen Bund mit ihnen machen, daß ich nicht will ablassen, ihnen Gutes zu tun, und will ihnen meine Furcht ins Herz geben, daß sie nicht von mir weichen.
41 And I will be glad over them to do them good; and I will plant them in this land in truth, with all my heart and with all my soul.
Und soll meine Lust sein, daß ich ihnen Gutes tun soll; und ich will sie in diesem Lande pflanzen, treulich, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele.
42 For thus hath said the Lord, Just as I have brought upon this people all this great evil, so will I bring upon them all the good that I speak concerning them.
Denn so spricht der HERR: Gleichwie ich über dies Volk habe kommen lassen all dies große Unglück, also will ich auch alles Gute über sie kommen lassen, das ich ihnen geredet habe.
43 And the field shall yet be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast, it is given up into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Und sollen noch Äcker gekauft werden in diesem Lande, davon ihr saget, es werde wüst liegen, daß weder Leute noch Vieh drinnen bleibe, und werde in der Chaldäer Hände gegeben.
44 Men shall buy fields for money, and write it in deeds, and seal it, and certify it by witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the environs of Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountain, and in the cities of the lowlands, and in the cities of the south; for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the Lord.
Dennoch wird man Äcker um Geld kaufen und verbriefen, versiegeln und bezeugen im Lande Benjamin und um Jerusalem her und in den Städten Judas, in Städten auf den Gebirgen, in Städten in Gründen und in Städten gegen Mittag. Denn ich will ihr Gefängnis wenden, spricht der HERR.
