Jeremiah 30
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
Ο λόγος ο γενόμενος προς τον Ιερεμίαν παρά Κυρίου, λέγων,
2 Thus hath said the Lord the God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
Ούτως είπε Κύριος ο Θεός του Ισραήλ, λέγων, Γράψον εις σεαυτόν εν βιβλίω πάντας τους λόγους, τους οποίους ελάλησα προς σέ·
3 For, behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will bring back again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord; and I will cause them to return to the land that I have given to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
διότι, ιδού, έρχονται ημέραι, λέγει Κύριος, και θέλω επιστρέψει την αιχμαλωσίαν του λαού μου Ισραήλ και Ιούδα, λέγει Κύριος· και θέλω επιστρέψει αυτούς εις την γην, την οποίαν έδωκα εις τους πατέρας αυτών, και θέλουσι κυριεύσει αυτήν.
4 And these are the words that the Lord spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah;
Και ούτοι είναι οι λόγοι, τους οποίους ελάλησε Κύριος περί του Ισραήλ και περί του Ιούδα.
5 For thus hath said the Lord, A voice of terror have we heard, dread, and no peace.
Διότι ούτω λέγει Κύριος· Ηκούσαμεν φωνήν τρομεράν, φόβον και ουχί ειρήνην.
6 Ask ye now, and see whether a male doth give birth to a child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in giving birth? and why are all faces turned pale?
Ερωτήσατε τώρα και ιδέτε, εάν άρσεν τίκτη· διά τι βλέπω έκαστον άνδρα με τας χείρας αυτού επί την οσφύν αυτού, ως τίκτουσαν, και πάντα τα πρόσωπα εστράφησαν εις ωχρίασιν;
7 Alas, for that day is great, there is none like it; and a time of distress it is unto Jacob; yet out of it shall he be saved.
Ουαί· διότι μεγάλη είναι η ημέρα εκείνη· ομοία αυτής δεν υπήρξε και είναι καιρός της στενοχωρίας του Ιακώβ· πλην θέλει σωθή εξ αυτής.
8 And it shall come to pass on that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and thy bands will I burst asunder; and strangers shall not make him serve any more;
Και εν τη ημέρα εκείνη, λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων, θέλω συντρίψει τον ζυγόν αυτού από του τραχήλου σου και θέλω διασπάσει τα δεσμά σου και ξένοι δεν θέλουσι πλέον καταδουλώσει αυτόν·
9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
αλλά θέλουσι δουλεύει Κύριον τον Θεόν αυτών και Δαβίδ τον βασιλέα αυτών, τον οποίον θέλω αναστήσει εις αυτούς.
10 And thou—do not fear, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; and be not dismayed, O Israel; for, behold, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity: and Jacob shall return, and shall be at rest, and be secure, with none to terrify him.
Συ δε μη φοβού, δούλέ μου Ιακώβ, λέγει Κύριος· μηδέ δειλιάσης, Ισραήλ· διότι, ιδού, θέλω σε σώσει από του μακρυνού τόπου και το σπέρμα σου από της γης της αιχμαλωσίας αυτών· και ο Ιακώβ θέλει επιστρέψει και θέλει ησυχάσει και αναπαυθή και δεν θέλει υπάρχει ο εκφοβών.
11 For with thee am I, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, yet of thee will I not make a full end; but I will correct thee in moderation, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
Διότι εγώ είμαι μετά σου, λέγει Κύριος, διά να σε σώσω· και αν κάμω συντέλειαν πάντων των εθνών όπου σε διεσκόρπισα, εις σε όμως δεν θέλω κάμει συντέλειαν, αλλά θέλω σε παιδεύσει εν κρίσει και δεν θέλω όλως σε αθωώσει.
12 For thus hath said the Lord, Incurable is thy bruise, and painful, thy wound.
Διότι ούτω λέγει Κύριος· Το σύντριμμά σου είναι ανίατον, η πληγή σου αλγεινή.
13 There is no one to plead thy cause, to bind up [thy wound]: useful remedies there are none for thee.
δεν υπάρχει ο κρίνων την κρίσιν σου, ώστε να ανορθωθής· δεν υπάρχουσι διά σε φάρμακα θεραπευτικά.
14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; thee they seek not; for with the blow of an enemy have I smitten thee, with cruel chastisement, for the multitude of thy iniquity, because thy sins were so numerous.
Πάντες οι αγαπητοί σου σε ελησμόνησαν· δεν σε ζητούσι· διότι σε επλήγωσα εν πληγή εχθρού, εν τιμωρία σκληρά, εξ αιτίας του πλήθους των ανομιών σου· αι αμαρτίαι σου επληθύνθησαν.
15 Why wilt thou cry out because of thy breach? for thy pain which is incurable? because of the multitude of thy iniquity, because thy sins were so numerous, have I done these things unto thee.
Τι βοάς διά το σύντριμμά σου; ο πόνος σου είναι ανίατος εξ αιτίας του πλήθους των ανομιών σου· αι αμαρτίαι σου επληθύνθησαν· διά τούτο έκαμον ταύτα εις σε.
16 Nevertheless all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thy adversaries, all of them, shall go into captivity; and they that plunder thee shall be [given up] to plunder, and all that prey upon thee will I give up for a prey.
Διά τούτο πάντες οι κατατρώγοντές σε θέλουσι καταφαγωθή· και πάντες οι εναντίοι σου, πάντες ομού θέλουσιν υπάγει εις αιχμαλωσίαν· και οι λαφυραγωγούντές σε θέλουσι γείνει λάφυρον και πάντας τους διαρπάζοντάς σε θέλω δώσει εις διαρπαγήν.
17 For I will place a healing plaster on thy bruise, and of thy wounds will I cure thee, saith the Lord; because they called thee “an Outcast.” “This is Zion, whom no one seeketh after.”
Διότι θέλω αποκαταστήσει την υγίειαν εις σε και θέλω σε ιατρεύσει από των πληγών σου, λέγει Κύριος· διότι αυτοί σε ωνόμασαν Απερριμμένην, λέγοντες, Αύτη είναι η Σιών· δεν υπάρχει ο ζητών αυτήν.
18 Thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will bring back again the captivity of the tents of Jacob, and on his dwelling-places will I have mercy; and the city shall be rebuilt upon her own heap of ruins, and the palace shall be inhabited after its [ancient] manner.
Ούτω λέγει Κύριος. Ιδού, εγώ θέλω επιστρέψει από της αιχμαλωσίας τας σκηνάς του Ιακώβ και θέλω οικτείρει τας κατοικίας αυτού· και η πόλις θέλει οικοδομηθή επί των ερειπίων αυτής, και ο ναός θέλει αποκατασταθή κατά την διάταξιν αυτού.
19 And there shall proceed out of them thanksgiving, and the voice of those that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished; I will also make them numerous, and they shall not be made few in number.
Και εξ αυτών θέλει εξέρχεσθαι ευχαριστία και φωνή αγαλλομένων· και θέλω πολλαπλασιάσει αυτούς και δεν θέλουσιν ολιγοστεύσει· και θέλω δοξάσει αυτούς και δεν θέλουσι σμικρυνθή.
20 And their children shall be as aforetimes, and their congregation shall be firmly established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
Και τα τέκνα αυτών θέλουσιν είσθαι ως το πρότερον, και η συναγωγή αυτών θέλει στερεωθή ενώπιόν μου, και θέλω τιμωρήσει πάντας τους καταθλίβοντας αυτούς.
21 And their leader shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me; for who is this that will venture of his own heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord.
Και ο άρχων αυτών θέλει είσθαι εξ αυτών και ο εξουσιαστής αυτών θέλει εξέρχεσθαι εκ μέσου αυτών· και θέλω κάμει αυτόν να πλησιάζη και θέλει πλησιάζει εις εμέ· διότι τις είναι ούτος, όστις εγγυάται την καρδίαν αυτού διά να πλησιάζη προς εμέ; λέγει Κύριος.
22 And ye shall be unto me for a people, and I will be unto you for a God.
Και θέλετε είσθαι λαός μου και εγώ θέλω είσθαι Θεός υμών.
23 Behold, the storm-wind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, an abiding storm-wind: upon the head of the wicked shall it fall.
Ιδού, ανεμοστρόβιλος παρά Κυρίου εξήλθε με ορμήν, ανεμοστρόβιλος αφανίζων· θέλει εξορμήσει επί την κεφαλήν των ασεβών.
24 The fierceness of the anger of the Lord will not turn back, until he have done, and until he have fulfilled the purposes of his heart: in the latter days shall ye understand this.
Ο φλογερός θυμός του Κυρίου δεν θέλει επιστρέψει, εωσού εκτελέση και εωσού εκπληρώση τας βουλάς της καρδίας αυτού· εν ταις εσχάταις ημέραις θέλετε νοήσει τούτο.
