Jeremiah 26
1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah came this word from the Lord, saying,
౧యోషీయా కొడుకు యూదా రాజు యెహోయాకీము పరిపాలన మొదట్లో యెహోవా దగ్గర నుంచి సందేశం ఇలా వచ్చింది,
2 Thus hath said the Lord, Place thyself in the court of the house of the Lord, and speak against all of the cities of Judah, who come to prostrate themselves in the house of the Lord, all the words that I have commanded thee to speak unto them: omit not a word [thereof];
౨“యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే, నువ్వు యెహోవా మందిర ఆవరణంలో నిలబడి, నేను నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించే మాటలన్నిటిని యెహోవా మందిరంలో ఆరాధించడానికి వచ్చే యూదా పౌరులందరికీ ప్రకటించు. వాటిలో ఒక మాట కూడా విడిచిపెట్టవద్దు.
3 Perhaps it be that they will hearken, and return every man from his evil way, that I may bethink me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them, because of the wrongfulness of their doings.
౩ఒకవేళ వాళ్ళు విని తమ దుర్మార్గాన్ని విడిచిపెడితే వాళ్ల మీదికి రప్పిస్తానని చెప్పిన విపత్తును తప్పిస్తాను.”
4 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord, if ye will not hearken unto me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,
౪నువ్వు వారితో ఈ మాట చెప్పాలి. “యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే,
5 To hearken unto the words of my servants the prophets, whom I send unto you, yea, making them rise up early, and sending them, while ye have not hearkened:
౫మీరు నా మాటలు విని నేను మీకు నియమించిన ధర్మశాస్త్రాన్ని అనుసరించకపోతే, నేను ప్రతిసారీ పంపిస్తున్న నా సేవకులైన ప్రవక్తల మాటలు మీరు వినకపోతే
6 Then will I render this house like Shiloh, and this city will I render a curse unto all the nations of the earth.
౬నేను షిలోహుకు చేసినట్టు ఈ మందిరానికి కూడా చేస్తాను. ఈ పట్టణాన్ని భూమిపై ఉన్న రాజ్యాలన్నిటికీ శాపంగా చేస్తాను.”
7 And the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the Lord:
౭యిర్మీయా యీ మాటలను యెహోవా మందిరంలో పలుకుతూ ఉంటే యాజకులూ ప్రవక్తలూ ప్రజలంతా విన్నారు.
8 And it came to pass, when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the Lord had commanded [him] to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people seized on him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.
౮అయితే యిర్మీయా యెహోవా చెప్పమని తనకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన మాటలన్నీ ప్రజలందరికీ చెప్పడం ముగించిన తరువాత యాజకులూ ప్రవక్తలూ ప్రజలంతా అతణ్ణి పట్టుకుని “నువ్వు తప్పకుండా చావాలి.
9 Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying, Like Shiloh shall this house be, and this city shall be ruined, [left] without an inhabitant? And all the people assembled themselves against Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
౯ఈ మందిరం షిలోహులాగా అవుతుందనీ ఈ పట్టణంలో ఎవరూ నివసించరనీ, పట్టణం పాడైపోతుందనీ యెహోవా పేరున నువ్వు ఎందుకు ప్రకటిస్తున్నావు?” అన్నారు. ప్రజలంతా యెహోవా మందిరంలో యిర్మీయా చుట్టూ గుమికూడారు.
10 But when the princes of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king's house unto the house of the Lord, and sat down at the entrance of the new gate of the Lord's house.
౧౦యూదా అధికారులు ఈ మాటలు విని రాజ భవనంలో నుంచి యెహోవా మందిరానికి వచ్చి, యెహోవా మందిరపు కొత్త ద్వారం ప్రవేశంలో కూర్చున్నారు.
11 Then said the priests and the prophets unto the princes and unto all the people, as followeth, This man deserveth the punishment of death; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your own ears.
౧౧యాజకులతో, ప్రవక్తలతో, అధిపతులతో, ప్రజలందరితో వాళ్ళు ఇలా అన్నారు. “మీరు చెవులారా విన్నట్టుగా ఈ వ్యక్తి ఈ పట్టణానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ప్రకటిస్తున్నాడు, కాబట్టి ఇతడు చావడం సమంజసమే.”
12 Then said Jeremiah unto all the princes and unto all the people, as followeth, The Lord hath sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that ye have heard.
౧౨అప్పుడు యిర్మీయా అధికారులందరితో ప్రజలందరితో ఇలా చెప్పాడు “‘ఈ మందిరానికీ ఈ పట్టణానికీ వ్యతిరేకంగా మీరు విన్న మాటలన్నీ ప్రకటించు’ అని యెహోవా నన్ను పంపాడు.
13 But now amend your ways and your doings, and hearken to the voice of the Lord your God: and the Lord will bethink him of the evil that he hath spoken against you.
౧౩కాబట్టి మీరు ఇప్పుడైనా మీ మార్గాలనూ మీ ప్రవర్తననూ చక్కపరచుకుని మీ యెహోవా దేవుని మాట వినండి. యెహోవా మీమీదికి తేవాలనుకున్న ఆపద రాకుండా చేస్తాడు.
14 As for me, behold, I am in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and just in your eyes.
౧౪ఇదిగో నేను మీ చేతుల్లో ఉన్నాను. మీ దృష్టికేది మంచిదో ఏది సరైనదో అదే నాకు చేయండి.
15 But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye will surely place [the guilt of] innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon its inhabitants; for in truth hath the Lord sent me unto you to speak in your ears all these words.
౧౫అయితే ఈ మాటలన్నీ చెప్పడానికి నిజంగా యెహోవా మీ దగ్గరికి నన్ను పంపాడు. కాబట్టి, మీరు నన్ను చంపితే నిర్దోషి రక్తాపరాధం మీ మీదికీ ఈ పట్టణం మీదికీ దాని నివాసుల మీదికీ తెచ్చుకున్న వాళ్ళవుతారు. దీనిని మీరు కచ్చితంగా తెలుసుకోవాలి.”
16 Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets, This man is not deserving the punishment of death; for in the name of the Lord our God hath he spoken unto us.
౧౬అప్పుడు అధిపతులు, ప్రజలంతా యాజకులతో ప్రవక్తలతో ఇలా అన్నారు. “ఈ వ్యక్తి మన యెహోవా దేవుని పేరున మనతో మాట్లాడాడు కాబట్టి ఇతడు చావడం సరి కాదు.”
17 And then rose up certain men of the elders of the land, and said to all the assembly of the people, as followeth,
౧౭దేశంలోని పెద్దల్లో కొంతమంది లేచి అక్కడ చేరిన ప్రజలతో,
18 Michah the Morashthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah the king of Judah. and said to all the people of Judah, as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Zion shall be ploughed up like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, and the mountain of the house, woody high-places.
౧౮“యూదా రాజు హిజ్కియా రోజుల్లో మోరషు ఊరివాడు మీకా ప్రవచిస్తూ ఉండేవాడు. అతడు యూదా ప్రజలందరితో ఇలా చెప్పాడు. సేనల అధిపతి యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే, సీయోనును పొలంలాగా దున్నడం జరుగుతుంది. యెరూషలేము రాళ్ల కుప్ప అవుతుంది. మందిరమున్న పర్వతం అరణ్యంలోని కొండలాగా అవుతుంది.
19 Did Hezekiah the king of Judah and all Judah attempt to put him to death? behold, he did fear the Lord, and besought the Lord, and the Lord bethought him of the evil which he had spoken against them. And shall we bring a great wickedness on our souls?
౧౯యూదా రాజు హిజ్కియా గానీ యూదా ప్రజలు గానీ అతణ్ణి చంపారా? రాజు యెహోవా పట్ల భయభక్తులు కలిగి ఆయనను వేడుకుంటే వాళ్లకు చేస్తానన్న విపత్తు చేయలేదు కదా! అయితే మన మీదికి మనమే గొప్ప కీడు తెచ్చుకుంటున్నాము” అని చెప్పారు.
20 And there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the Lord, Uriyah the son of Shema'yahu of Kiryath-ye'arim, who prophesied against this city and against this land in accordance with all the words of Jeremiah;
౨౦కిర్యత్యారీము వాసి షెమయా కొడుకు ఊరియా అనే ఒకడు యెహోవా పేరున ప్రవచిస్తూ ఉండేవాడు. అతడు యిర్మీయా చెప్పిన మాటల్లాగే ఈ పట్టణానికీ ఈ దేశానికీ వ్యతిరేకంగా ప్రవచించాడు.
21 And when king Jehoyakim, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death; but when Uriyahu heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and arrived in Egypt;
౨౧యెహోయాకీం రాజు, అతని శూరులంతా అధికారులంతా అతని మాటలు విన్నప్పుడు, రాజు అతణ్ణి చంపాలని చూశాడు. ఊరియా అది తెలుసుకుని భయపడి ఐగుప్తుకు పారిపోయాడు.
22 But king Jehoyakim sent some men into Egypt, namely, Elnathan the son of 'Achbor, and some men with him into Egypt:
౨౨అయినప్పటికీ యెహోయాకీం రాజు, అక్బోరు కొడుకు ఎల్నాతానునూ అతనితో కూడా కొంతమందిని ఐగుప్తుకు పంపాడు.
23 And they fetched Uriyahu out of Egypt, and brought him unto king Jehoyakim, who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body upon the graves of the common people.
౨౩వాళ్ళు ఐగుప్తు నుంచి ఊరియాను యెహోయాకీం రాజు దగ్గరికి తెచ్చారు. రాజు కత్తితో అతణ్ణి చంపి సాధారణ ప్రజల సమాధుల్లో అతని శవాన్ని పాతిపెట్టాడు.
24 But the hand of Achikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, so as not to give him up into the hand of the people to put him to death.
౨౪అయితే షాఫాను కొడుకు అహీకాము యిర్మీయాకు సాయపడ్డాడు. అతణ్ణి చంపడానికి ప్రజలకు అప్పగించలేదు.
