< Jeremiah 25 >

1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah, which is the first year of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon;
Asɛm a ɛfa Yudafo nyinaa ho baa Yeremia nkyɛn wɔ Yudahene Yosia babarima Yehoiakim adedi afe a ɛto so anan a ɛyɛ Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar adedi afe a edi kan no mu.
2 Which Jeremiah the prophet spoke concerning all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
Enti odiyifo Yeremia ka kyerɛɛ Yudafo ne wɔn a wɔtete Yerusalem nyinaa se,
3 From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon the king of Judah, even until this day, that is now three and twenty years, the word of the Lord hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
Mfe aduonu abiɛsa ni, efi Yudahene Amon babarima Yosia adedi afe a ɛto so dumiɛnsa besi nnɛ, Awurade asɛm aba me so na makasa akyerɛ mo mpɛn bebree, nanso muntiei ɛ.
4 And the Lord hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, making [them] rise early and sending [them]; but ye have not hearkened, and have not inclined your ear to hear.
Mpo Awurade asoma nʼasomfo a wɔyɛ nʼadiyifo aba mo nkyɛn mpɛn bebree, na muntiee wɔn, na monyɛɛ aso mmaa wɔn ɛ.
5 They said, O do turn away every one from his evil way, and from the wrongfulness of your doings; and ye shall remain in the land that the Lord hath given unto you and to your fathers, for from eternity to eternity;
Wɔkae se, “Mo mu biara mfi nʼakwan bɔne ne ne nneyɛe bɔne ho, na mubetumi atena asase a Awurade de maa mo ne mo agyanom no so afebɔɔ.
6 And go not after other gods to serve them, and to bow down to them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will not injure you.
Munni anyame foforo akyi nkɔsom wɔn, nsɔre wɔn; mommfa nea mode mo nsa ayɛ no nhyɛ me abufuw. Afei merenhaw mo.”
7 Yet have ye not hearkened unto me, saith the Lord: in order that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your own hands to your own injury.
“Nanso moantie me,” Awurade na ose, “na mode nea mode mo nsa ayɛ ahyɛ me abufuw, na mode ɔhaw aba mo so.”
8 Therefore thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Because ye have not hearkened to my words:
Afei nea Asafo Awurade se ni: “Esiane sɛ moantie me nsɛm no nti,
9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the Lord, and to Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will bring them over this land, and over its inhabitants, and over all these nations round about, and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a derision, and perpetual ruins.
mɛfrɛ atifi fam nnipa nyinaa ne mʼakoa Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar,” Awurade na ose, “na mede wɔn abɛko atia saa asase yi ne sofo, ne amanaman a wɔatwa ho ahyia nyinaa. Mɛsɛe wɔn pasaa na mayɛ wɔn ahodwiriwde ne fɛwdi, ne amamfo afebɔɔ.
10 And I will banish from them the voice of gladness, and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the mill, and the light of the lamp.
Meyi ahosan ne anigye nnyigyei, ayeforokunu ne ayeforo nne, awiyammo nnyigyei ne kanea hann afi wɔn mu.
11 And this whole land shall become a ruin and an [object of] astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
Ɔman mu no nyinaa bɛdan asase wosee, na saa amanaman yi bɛsom Babiloniahene mfirihyia aduɔson.
12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are completed, that I will visit on the king of Babylon, and on that nation, saith the Lord, their iniquity, and on the land of the Chaldeans, and will change it into perpetual desolations.
“Na mfirihyia aduɔson awiei no, mɛtwe Babiloniahene ne ne man, Babiloniafo asase aso wɔ wɔn amumɔyɛ ho, mɛdan no amamfo afebɔɔ,” sɛnea Awurade se ni.
13 And I will bring over that land all my words which I have spoken concerning it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied concerning all the nations.
“Mɛma asotwe a mahyɛ atia asase no nyinaa aba wɔn so, nea wɔakyerɛw wɔ nhoma yi mu na Yeremia ahyɛ ho nkɔm atia aman no nyinaa no.
14 For when many nations and great kings shall have made them also serve: I will then recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their own hands.
Wɔn ankasa de, amanaman bebree ne ahempɔn de wɔn bɛyɛ nkoa; na metua wɔn nneyɛe ne wɔn nsa ano adwuma so ka.”
15 For thus hath said the Lord the God of Israel unto me, Take the cup of the wine of this fury out of my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send thee to drink it.
Sɛɛ na Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn, ka kyerɛɛ me: “Gye saa kuruwa yi a mʼabufuwhyew nsa ahyɛ no ma yi, na ma amanaman a mɛsoma wo wɔn nkyɛn no nyinaa nnom.
16 And they shall drink, and reel about, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
Sɛ wɔnom a, wɔbɛtɔ ntintan na wɔabobɔ dam esiane afoa a mɛsoma akɔ wɔn so no nti.”
17 And I took the cup out of the hand of the Lord, and caused to drink all the nations, unto whom the Lord had sent me:
Ɛno nti, migyee kuruwa no fii Awurade nsam, na memaa amanaman a ɔsomaa me wɔn nkyɛn no nomee:
18 Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a ruin, an astonishment, a derision, and a curse; as it is this day;
Yerusalem ne Yuda nkurow, nʼahemfo ne ne nnwumayɛfo sɛ wɔnyɛ ɔsɛe, aninyanne, animɔharefo ne nnome, sɛnea wɔte nnɛ da yi.
19 Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
Misraimhene Farao, nʼasomfo, nʼadwumayɛfo ne ne manfo nyinaa,
20 And all the confederated nations, and all the kings of the land of 'Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gazzah, and 'Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;

21 Edom, and Moab, and the children of 'Ammon;
Edom, Moab ne Amon;
22 And all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
Tiro ne Sidon ahemfo nyinaa; ne ahemfo a wɔwɔ mpoano aman a wɔwɔ po agya no;
23 Dedan, and Thema, and Buz, and all those that have their hair cut round;

24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the confederated nations that dwell in the wilderness;
Arabia ahemfo ne ananafo ahemfo nyinaa a wɔtete nweatam so no.
25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of 'Elam, and all the kings of Media;
Simri, Elam ne Media ahemfo nyinaa;
26 And all the kings of the north, that are far and that are near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth; and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
ne ahemfo a wɔwɔ atifi fam nyinaa, wɔn a wɔbɛn ne wɔn a wɔwɔ akyirikyiri, ne wɔn mu biara, asase so ahenni ahorow. Na wɔn nyinaa akyi no Sesakhene nso bɛnom bi.
27 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Drink ye, and become drunken, and vomit, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword, which I am sending among you.
“Afei ka kyerɛ wɔn se, ‘Sɛɛ na Asafo Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn se: Monnom, mommobow na momfefe, na mohwehwe ase a monnsɔre bio, esiane afoa a mɛsoma aba mo so no nti.’
28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup of thy hand to drink, that thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Ye must certainly drink;
Na sɛ wɔampɛ sɛ wogye wo nsam kuruwa no nom a, ka kyerɛ wɔn se, ‘Sɛɛ na Asafo Awurade se: Ɛsɛ sɛ monom!
29 For lo, on the city which is called by my name, I begin to inflict evil, and ye will remain utterly unpunished? Ye shall not remain unpunished; for a sword am I calling up over all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.
Monhwɛ, merebefi ase de amanehunu aba kuropɔn a me Din da so no so, na mobɛfa mo ho adi a wɔrentwe mo aso ana? Wɔbɛtwe mo aso, efisɛ merefrɛ afoa aba wɔn a wɔtete asase no so nyinaa so, Asafo Awurade na ose.’
30 But thou, do thou prophesy concerning them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord will cry aloud from on high, and from his holy habitation will he send forth his voice; he will cry out very loudly over his habitation; the vintner's call, as they that tread out the grapes, will he lift up against all the inhabitants of the earth.
“Afei hyɛ nsɛm yi nyinaa ho nkɔm tia wɔn, na ka kyerɛ wɔn se, “‘Awurade befi ɔsoro abobɔ mu; ɔbɛma ne nne so afi ne tenabea kronkron hɔ, na wabobɔ mu dennen atia nʼasase. Ɔbɛteɛ mu te sɛ wɔn a wotiatia bobe aba so, ɔbɛteɛ mu agu wɔn a wɔtete asase no so no so.
31 A tumultuous noise cometh even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy with the nations, he holdeth judgment over all flesh: the wicked, —these he giveth up to the sword, saith the Lord.
Huuyɛ begyigye akɔ nsase ano, na Awurade bɛbɔ kwaadu, atia amanaman; obebu adesamma nyinaa atɛn na ɔde amumɔyɛfo ama afoa,’” Awurade na ose.
32 Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil goeth forth from nation to nation, and a great storm-wind waketh up from the farthest ends of the earth.
Sɛɛ na Asafo Awurade se: “Monhwɛ! Amanehunu retrɛtrɛw fi ɔman so kɔ ɔman foforo so; ahum kɛse bi rema ne ho so afi nsase ano.”
33 And the slain of the Lord shall be on that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, nor gathered up, nor buried; they shall be as dung upon the surface of the ground.
Saa bere no, wɔn a Awurade akunkum wɔn no bɛdeda baabiara, fi asase ano kosi ano nohɔ. Wɔrensu wɔn na wɔremmoaboa wɔn ano na wɔrensie wɔn, na wɔbɛyɛ sɛ sumina a egugu fam.
34 Wail, ye shepherds, and cry; and roll yourselves about [in the dust], ye leaders of the flocks; for full are your days for you to be slaughtered, and I will scatter you; and you shall fall like a costly vessel.
Munsu na muntwa adwo, mo nguanhwɛfo; mommunummunum wɔ mfutuma mu, mo nguankuw ntuanofo. Mo kum bere no adu; mobɛhwehwe ase sɛ adwennini a wɔadodɔ.
35 And lost shall be the place of refuge for the shepherds, and the escape for the leaders of the flocks to escape.
Nguanhwɛfo no rennya baabiara nguan nkɔ, na nguankuw no ntuanofo no rennya kwan nguan.
36 There is the voice of the cry of anguish of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leaders of the flocks; for the Lord hath devastated their pasture.
Muntie nguanhwɛfo no su, ne nguankuw no ntuanofo agyaadwotwa, efisɛ Awurade resɛe wɔn mmoa adidibea.
37 And in silent desolation lie the pasture-lands of peace, because of the fierceness of the anger of the Lord.
Sare nsase a asomdwoe wɔ so no bɛda mpan esiane Awurade abufuwhyew no nti.
38 He hath forsaken his covert, like the young lion; for their land is become desolate, because of the fierceness of the wasting [sword], and because of the fierceness of his anger.
Obefi ne tu mu sɛ gyata, na wɔn asase bɛda mpan esiane nnomumfafo no afoa ne Awurade abufuwhyew no nti.
