Jeremiah 22
1 Thus said the Lord, Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word;
Овако говори Господ: Сиђи у дом цара Јудиног, и реци онде ову реч,
2 And thou shalt say, Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
И кажи: Слушај реч Господњу, царе Јудин, који седиш на престолу Давидовом, ти и слуге твоје и народ твој, који улазите на ова врата.
3 Thus hath said the Lord, Execute ye justice and righteousness, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor; and the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow shall ye not oppress, and do them no violence, and shed no innocent blood in this place.
Овако вели Господ: Чините суд и правду, и коме се отима избављајте га из руку насилникових, и не чините криво иностранцу ни сироти ни удовици, и не чините им силу, и крв праву не проливајте на овом месту.
4 For if ye indeed will do this thing, then shall enter in through the gates of this house kings sitting after David upon his throne, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
Јер ако доиста узрадите ово, улазиће на врата овог дома цареви, који седе место Давида на престолу његовом, на колима и на коњима, они и слуге њихове и народ њихов.
5 But if ye will not hear these words, then do I swear by myself, saith the Lord, that this house shall become a ruin.
Ако ли не послушате ове речи, заклињем се собом, вели Господ, да ћу опустети тај дом.
6 For thus hath said the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah, A Gil'ad [though] thou art unto me, a summit of the Lebanon: yet I will surely change thee into a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.
Јер овако вели Господ за дом цара Јудиног: Ти си ми Галад и врх ливански, али ћу те обратити у пустињу, у градове у којима се не живи.
7 And I will make ready against thee destroyers, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down the choice of thy cedars, and cast them into the fire.
И спремићу на тебе затираче, сваког с оружјем, и посећи ће твоје красне кедре и побацати их у огањ.
8 And [when] many nations [then] pass by this city, they will say every man to his neighbor, Wherefore hath the Lord done the like unto this great city?
И многи ће народи пролазити мимо тај град, и говориће један другом: Зашто учини ово Господ од тог града великог?
9 Then shall they say, Because they had forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and bowed down unto other gods, and served them.
И рећи ће: Јер оставише завет Господа Бога свог, и клањаше се другим боговима и служише им.
10 Weep not for the dead, and do not bemoan him: weep sorely for him that goeth away; for he shall never return any more, and see the land of his birth.
Не плачите за мртвим нити га жалите; него плачите за оним који одлази, јер се неће више вратити нити ће видети своје постојбине.
11 For thus hath said the Lord respecting Shallum the son of Josiah the king of Judah, who reigneth in the place of Josiah his father, who is gone forth out of this place, He shall never return thither any more;
Јер овако говори Господ о Салуму сину Јосије, цара Јудиног, који цароваше место Јосије оца свог, који отиде из овог места: неће се више вратити.
12 But in the place whither they have led him into exile, there shall he die; but this land shall he not see any more.
Него ће умрети у месту куда га одведоше у ропство, и неће више видети ове земље.
13 Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by injustice; that maketh his neighbor work without wages, and giveth him not the reward for his labor;
Тешко оном који гради своју кућу не по правди, и клети своје не по правици, који се служи ближњим својим низашта и плату за труд његов не даје му;
14 That saith, I will build me a roomy house, and ample chambers, and cutteth himself out windows, and ceileth it with cedar, and painteth it with colors.
Који говори: Саградићу себи велику кућу и простране клети; и разваљује себи прозоре, и облаже кедром и маже црвенилом.
15 Shalt thou reign, because thou strivest to excel with cedar buildings? behold, thy father ate and drank, but he executed justice and righteousness: then was it well with him!
Хоћеш ли царовати кад се мешаш с кедром? Отац твој није ли јео и пио? Кад чињаше суд и правду, тада му беше добро.
16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then was it well: is not this the proper knowledge of me? saith the Lord.
Даваше правицу сиромаху и убогоме, и беше му добро; није ли то познавати ме? Говори Господ.
17 But thy eyes and thy heart are directed on nothing but upon thy own gain, and upon innocent blood to shed it, and upon oppression, and upon extortion, to practise them.
Али очи твоје и срце твоје иду само за твојим добитком и да проливаш крв праву и да чиниш насиље и кривду.
18 Therefore thus hath said the Lord concerning Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah, They shall not lament for him, with, “Woe, my brother!” and, “Woe, sister!” they shall not lament for him, with “Woe, lord!” and, “Woe, to his glory!”
Зато овако вели Господ за Јоакима сина Јосије цара Јудиног: Неће нарицати за њим: Јаох брате мој! Или: Јаох сестро! Неће нарицати за њим: Јаох господару! Или: Јаох славо његова!
19 With the burial of an ass shall he be buried, dragged about and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
Погребом магарећим погрепшће се, извући ће се и бациће се иза врата јерусалимских.
20 Ascend the Lebanon, and cry aloud; and let thy voice resound in Bashan; and cry aloud from 'Aharim; for crushed are all thy lovers.
Изиђи на Ливан и вичи, и на Васану пусти глас свој, и вичи преко бродова, јер се сатрше сви који те љубе.
21 I spoke unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy very youth, that thou didst not hearken to my voice.
Говорих ти у срећи твојој, а ти рече: Нећу да слушам; то је пут твој од детињства твог да не слушаш глас мој.
22 The wind shall scatter abroad all thy shepherds, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded because of all thy wickedness.
Све ће пастире твоје однети ветар, и који те љуби отићи ће у ропство; тада ћеш се посрамити и постидети за сву злоћу своју.
23 O inhabitress of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how full of grace wilt thou be! when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!
Ти седиш на Ливану, гнездо вијеш на кедрима, како ћеш бити љупка, кад ти дођу муке и болови као породиљи!
24 As I live, saith the Lord, though Conyahu the son of Jehoyakim the king of Judah were a signet upon my right hand, yet for a surety would I thence pluck thee;
Како сам ја жив, вели Господ, да би Хонија син Јоакима цара Јудиног био прстен печатни на десној руци мојој, и оданде ћу те отргнути.
25 And I will give thee into the hand of those that seek thy life, and into the hand of those of whom thou art afraid, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
И даћу те у руке онима који траже душу твоју, и у руке онима којих се бојиш, у руке Навуходоносору цару вавилонском и у руке Халдејцима.
26 And I will hurl thee out, and thy mother that hath born thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.
И бацићу тебе и матер твоју која те је родила у земљу туђу, где се нисте родили, и онде ћете помрети.
27 But to the land whitherward they direct their soul to return, thither shall they not return.
А у земљу у коју ћете желети да се вратите, нећете се вратити у њу.
28 Is this man Conyahu a despised broken image? or a vessel without value? wherefore are they hurled out, he and his seed, and are cast forth into a land which they know not?
Је ли тај човек Хонија ништав идол изломљен? Је ли суд у коме нема милине? Зашто бише истерани, он и семе његово, и бачени у земљу, које не познају?
29 O land, land, land! hear the word of the Lord.
О земљо, земљо, земљо! Чуј реч Господњу.
30 Thus hath said the Lord, Write ye down this man as childless, as a man that shall not prosper in his days; for no man of his seed shall succeed to sit upon the throne of David, and to rule any more in Judah.
Овако вели Господ: Запишите да ће тај човек бити без деце и да неће бити срећан до свог века; и нико неће бити срећан од семена његовог, који би седео на престолу Давидовом и још владао Јудом.
