Jeremiah 19
1 Thus said the Lord, Go and buy a bottle from a maker of earthenware, and [take] some of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ କୁମ୍ଭକାରର ଏକ ମୃତ୍ତିକା ପାତ୍ର କ୍ରୟ କର, ଆଉ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କେତେକ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କର କେତେକ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ,
2 And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the gate Charsith, and proclaim there the words that I will speak unto thee.
ହାର୍ଶିତ୍ ଦ୍ୱାରର ପ୍ରବେଶ ସ୍ଥାନର ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ହିନ୍ନୋମ ପୁତ୍ରର ଉପତ୍ୟକାକୁ ବାହାରି ଯାଅ, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିବା, ତାହା ସେ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କର;
3 And say, Hear ye the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring evil over this place, so that the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
ଆଉ କୁହ, ‘ହେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାଗଣ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ; ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରତି ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଘଟାଇବା, ତାହା ଯେ ଶୁଣେ, ତାହାର କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଶିହରି ଉଠିବ।
4 For the reason that they have forsaken me, and have defiled this place, and have burnt incense in it unto other gods, which they had not known, either they or their fathers, or the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ପରର ସ୍ଥାନ ବୋଲି ଜ୍ଞାନ କରି ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃପୁରୁଷମାନେ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣକୁ ଜାଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
5 And they have built the high-places of Ba'al, to burn their sons with fire as burnt-offerings unto Ba'al, which I had not commanded, nor spoken, and which had not come into my mind:
ପୁଣି, ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରଗଣକୁ ହୋମବଳି ରୂପେ ବାଲ୍ଦେବ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାଲ୍ଦେବର ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆଦେଶ କରି ନାହୁଁ, କି କହି ନାହୁଁ, କିଅବା ଆମ୍ଭ ମନରେ ତାହା ଉଦୟ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ।
6 Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, that this place shall no more be called The Thopheth, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but, The valley of slaughter.
ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଦେଖ, ଯେଉଁ ସମୟରେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ତୋଫତ୍ କିଅବା ହିନ୍ନୋମ ପୁତ୍ରର ଉପତ୍ୟକା ବୋଲି ଖ୍ୟାତ ନ ହୋଇ ହତ୍ୟା ଉପତ୍ୟକା ବୋଲି ଖ୍ୟାତ ହେବ, ଏପରି ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି।
7 And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those that seek their life: and I will give their carcasses as food unto the fowls of the heaven, and unto the beasts of the earth.
ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ବ୍ୟର୍ଥ କରିବା; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିପାତ କରିବା; ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଖେଚର ପକ୍ଷୀଗଣକୁ ଓ ଭୂଚର ପଶୁଗଣକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଶବ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦେବା।
8 And I will render this city desolate, and an [object of] derision: every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.
ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ନଗରକୁ ବିସ୍ମୟର ଓ ଶୀସ୍ ଶବ୍ଦର ପାତ୍ର କରିବା; ଆଉ, ତହିଁର ନିକଟ ଦେଇ ଗମନକାରୀ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ତହିଁ ପ୍ରତି ଘଟିତ ସକଳ ଉତ୍ପାତ ସକାଶୁ ବିସ୍ମିତ ହୋଇ ଶୀସ୍ ଶବ୍ଦ କରିବ।
9 And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his associate, in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and those that seek their life, shall distress them.
ଆଉ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣନାଶର ଚେଷ୍ଟାକାରୀମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅବରୋଧ କରିବା ଓ ସଙ୍କଟରେ ପକାଇବା ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରକନ୍ୟାର ମାଂସ ଭୋଜନ କରାଇବା ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ମିତ୍ରର ମାଂସ ଖାଇବେ।’
10 Then shalt thou break the bottle before the eyes of the men that are going with thee.
ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସେହି ପାତ୍ର ଭାଙ୍ଗି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବ,
11 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, In this manner will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be restored again; and in Thopheth shall they bury, for want of room to bury.
‘ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଯେପରି କେହି କୁମ୍ଭକାରର ପାତ୍ର ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇଲେ ତାହା ପୁନର୍ବାର ଯୋଡ଼ାଯାଇ ନ ପାରେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହିପରି ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଏହି ନଗରକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇବା; ତହିଁରେ କବର ସ୍ଥାନର ଅଭାବ ନ ହେବା ଯାଏ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୋଫତ୍ରେ କବର ଦେବେ।
12 Thus will I do unto this place, saith the Lord, and to its inhabitants, and to make this city as Thopheth:
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରତି ଓ ତହିଁର ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବା, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ନଗରକୁ ତୋଫତ୍ ତୁଲ୍ୟ କରିବା।
13 And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, which are unclean, shall become as the place of the Thopheth, with all the houses upon the roofs of which they have burnt incense to all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink-offerings to other gods.
ତହିଁରେ ଅଶୁଚିକୃତ ଯିରୂଶାଲମସ୍ଥ ସକଳ ଗୃହ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାଗଣର ଗୃହ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଯେସକଳ ଗୃହର ଛାତ ଉପରେ ସେମାନେ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳସ୍ଥ ସୈନ୍ୟଗଣର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପେୟ-ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଢାଳିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେସକଳ ତୋଫତ୍ ସ୍ଥାନ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ।’”
14 Then came Jeremiah from the Thopheth, whither the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he placed himself in the court of the house of the Lord; and said to all the people,
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିରିମୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯେଉଁ ତୋଫତ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ, ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ;
15 Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all its towns all the evil that I have spoken against it; because they have hardened their neck, so as not to hear my words.
“ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ନଗର ଓ ତହିଁର ସକଳ ଉପନଗର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳର କଥା କହିଅଛୁ, ସେସବୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଘଟାଇବା; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଅବଧାନ ନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଗ୍ରୀବା ଶକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
