< Isaiah 9 >
1 For no fatigue [befalleth] him that oppresseth it; in the first time he made light of the land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, and at the last he will deal hard, with the way by the sea, on the other side of the Jordan, [up to] the Galilee of the nations.
Maikkatto ti saem nga adda kenkuana nga agsagsagaba. Iti naglabas a tiempo, pinabainanna ti daga ti Zabulun ken ti daga ti Naftali, ngem iti masangoanan a tiempo, pagbalinennanto daytoy a nadayag, ti dalan a mapan iti baybay, iti ballasiw ti Karayan Jordan, Galilea dagiti nasion.
2 The people that walk in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death—a light shineth brightly over them.
Dagiti tattao nga agbibiag iti kinasipnget ket nakakita iti naindaklan a lawag; dagiti nagnanaed idi iti daga ti aniniwan ni patay, rinanniagan ida ti lawag.
3 Thou hast multiplied the nation, made great their joy: they rejoice before thee as with the joy in harvest, as men are glad when they divide the spoil.
Pinaadumon ti nasion, ad-adda pay a pinarag-om ida; agragragsakda iti sangoanam a kas karagsak iti tiempo ti panagapit, a kas iti panagrag-o dagiti tattao no bingayenda dagiti sinamsamda.
4 For the yoke of their burden, and the staff on their shoulder, the rod of their oppressor, hast thou broken, as on the day of Midian.
Ta ti sangol ti dadagsenna, ti biga nga adda iti abagana, ti sarukod ti mangidaddadanes kenkuana, tinukkolmo a kas iti aldaw dagiti taga-Midia.
5 For all the weapons of the fighter in the battle's tumult, and the garment rolled in blood, shall be burnt, become food for fire.
Ta tunggal botas a mangbadbaddek iti pagrarangetan ken dagiti kawes a nadaraan ket mapuoranto, maisungrodto iti apuy.
6 For a child is born unto us, a son hath been given unto us, and the government is placed on his shoulders; and his name is called, Wonderful, counsellor of the mighty God, of the everlasting Father, the prince of peace,
Ta naipasngay kadatayo ti maysa nga ubing, naited kadatayo ti maysa nga anak a lalaki; ket maipabaklayto kenkuana ti panagturay; ken mapanagananto isuna iti Nakaskasdaaw a Mammagbaga, Mannakabalin a Dios, Agnanayon nga Ama, Prinsipe ti Kappia.
7 For [promoting] the increase of the government, and for peace without end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to support it through justice and righteousness, from henceforth and unto eternity: the zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
Awanto iti panagpatingga iti panagdur-as ti panagturayna ken iti kappia, iti panagturayna iti trono ni David ken iti pagarianna, tapno ibangonna daytoy ken pagtalinaedenna daytoy babaen iti hustisia ken kinalinteg manipud iti daytoy a tiempo ken iti agnanayon. Aramidento daytoy ti kinaregta ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin.
8 A word hath the Lord sent against Jacob, and it hath alighted upon Israel.
Nangipatulod ni Apo iti sao a maibusor kenni Jacob, ket natnag daytoy iti Israel.
9 And experience it shall all the people together, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria; because they say, in the pride and haughtiness of heart,
Maammoanto dagiti amin a tattao, uray ti Efraim ken dagiti agnanaed iti Samaria, nga agkunkuna a sipapalangguad ken addaan napasindayaw a puso,
10 “The bricks are fallen down, but with hewn stones will we re-build: the sycamores are cut down, but with cedars will we replace them.”
“Nadadaelen dagiti ladrilyo ngem ibangonminto manen babaen iti natikapan a bato; napukanen dagiti sikamoro ngem sukatanminto dagitoy kadagiti sedro.”
11 Therefore will the Lord strengthen the adversaries of Rezin above him, and will stir up his enemies;
Ngarud, tumakderto ni Yahweh a maibusor kenkuana, ni Rezin a kabusorna, ket tignayennanto dagiti kabusorna,
12 The Syrians in front, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with a full mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand still remaineth stretched out.
dagiti Arameo iti daya ken dagiti Filisteo iti laud. Nakangangadanto a mangalun-on iti Israel. Ta gapu iti pungtotna, saanto nga agsardeng ni Yahweh ngem nakalayatto latta ti imana tapno mangdusa.
13 And the people return not unto him that smiteth them, and the Lord of hosts do they not seek.
Ngem saanto latta nga agsubli dagiti tattao kenkuana a nangkabil kadakuada wenno saanda a biruken ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin.
14 And the Lord cutteth off from Israel head and tail, palm-branch and rush, on one day.
Putdento ngarud ni Yahweh ti ulo ken ti ipus ti Israel, sanga ti palma ken runo, iti maysa nga aldaw.
15 The ancient and honorable is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies is the tail.
Ti pangulo ken ti natakneng a lalaki ket isuda dagiti ulo; ken ti profeta nga agisursuro iti inuulbod ket ti ipus.
16 And the guides of this people are those that guide to error; and those that are led of them are misled.
Dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti tattao ket iyaw-awanda ida ken naalun-on dagiti indauloanda a tattao.
17 Therefore will the Lord have no joy in their young men, and on their fatherless and widows will he have no mercy; for every one is a hypocrite and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaketh scandalous words. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand still remaineth stretched out.
Saanto ngarud a maragsakan ti Apo kadagiti agtutuboda, kasta met a saanna a kaasian dagiti ulila iti ama ken dagiti balo, agsipud ta awan dios ti tunggal maysa ken agar-aramidda iti dakes, ken agsasao kadagiti minamaag ti tunggal bibig. Ngem gapu amin kadagitoy, saan nga maawan ti pungtot ni Yahweh ket nakalayatto latta ti imana a mangdusa.
18 For wickedness burneth like the fire; it shall devour the briers and thorns: and it shall kindle [a flame] in the thickets of the forest, and they shall be shrouded by the wreaths of smoke.
Mangur-uram ti kinadangkes a kas iti apuy; uramenna dagiti siit ken sisiitan a ruot; uramenna pay ti napuskol a kabakiran nga uray la umasimbuyok a napuskol nga asok.
19 Through the fury of the Lord of hosts is the land scorched, and the people have become as food for the fire; no man will spare his brother.
Gapu iti nakaro a pungtot ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, mauram ti daga, ket kasla sungrod iti apuy dagiti tattao. Awan iti tao a mangispal iti kabsatna.
20 And he snatcheth on the right hand, and is [yet] hungry; and he eateth on the left hand, and are not [yet] satisfied; they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
Mangiwadanto iti karne kadagiti kannawan nga imada ngem mabisindanto latta; kanendanto ti karne ti kannigid nga imada ngem saandanto a mapnek. Kanento pay ti tunggal maysa ti lasag ti takyagna.
21 Menasseh [against] Ephraim: and Ephraim [against] Menasseh; and they together against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand still remaineth stretched out.
Alun-onento ti Manases ti Efraim, ket alun-onento met ti Efraim ti Manases; ket agkaduadanto a mangraut iti Juda. Laksidto amin kadagitoy, saanto nga agbaaw ti pungtot ni Yahweh, ngem nakalayatto latta ti imana tapno mangdusa.
