Isaiah 65
1 I allowed myself to be sought by those that asked not; I let myself be found by those that sought me not: I said, Here am I, here am I, unto a nation that called itself not by my name.
“Me dejé buscar por los que no preguntaban (por Mí), me dejé hallar por los que no me buscaban. Dije: «Heme aquí, heme aquí», a gente que (antes) no invocaba mi nombre.
2 I spread out my hands all the time unto a rebellious people, that walk in the way which is not good, after their own thoughts;
Todo el día tenía Yo extendidas mis manos hacia un pueblo rebelde que no anda por el recto camino, sino en pos de sus propios pensamientos;
3 [To] the people that provoke me to anger to my face continually; that sacrifice in gardens and burn incense upon [altars of] brick,
hacia un pueblo que me provoca continuamente cara a cara, que ofrece sacrificios en los huertos, y quema incienso sobre ladrillos;
4 That sit about among the graves, and lodge in the vaults, that eat the flesh of the swine, and [have] broth of abominations [in] their vessels;
que se sienta en los sepulcros, y pasa la noche en lugares ocultos, que come carne de cerdo, y en sus ollas tiene manjares impuros;
5 That say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the time.
que dice: «Quédate ahí, no te acerques a mí, porque te santificaría.» Esos tales son humo en mis narices, fuego que arde sin cesar.
6 Behold, it is written before me; I will not keep silence, till I have recompensed, yea, recompensed into their bosom.—
He aquí que escrito está delante de Mí: No me callaré, sino que retribuiré; en su mismo seno les daré el pago
7 Your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord, who have burnt incense upon the mountains, and upon the hills have blasphemed me: and I will measure out their work at first into their bosom.
por vuestras iniquidades, dice Yahvé, juntamente con las de vuestros padres, que quemaron incienso sobre los montes, y me ultrajaron en los collados. Por eso les pondré en su seno la paga por sus obras pasadas.”
8 Thus hath said the Lord, As the new wine is found in the cluster of grapes, and one saith, Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it; so will I do for the sake of my servants, that I will not destroy the whole;
Así dice Yahvé: “Como cuando hay jugo en un racimo se dice: «No lo desperdicies, pues en él hay bendición», así haré Yo por amor de mis siervos, para no exterminarlos, a todos.
9 And I let come forth out of Jacob a seed, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains; and my elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
Antes bien, sacaré de Jacob un linaje, y de Judá un heredero de mis montes; mis escogidos los tomarán en posesión, y habitarán allí mis siervos.
10 And Sharon shall become a fold of flocks, and the valley of 'Achor a resting-place for herds, for my people that have sought me.
Sarón será un prado para rebaños, y el valle de Acor un lugar de reposo para el ganado de mi pueblo que me busca.
11 But ye who forsake the Lord, who forget my holy mountain, that set out a table for the god of Fortune, and that fill for Destiny the drink-offering.—
Mas a vosotros, que abandonáis a Yahvé, que os olvidáis de mi santo monte, que aparejáis una mesa a (la diosa) Fortuna y llenáis la copa para el Destino,
12 Yea, I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall kneel down to the slaughter; because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spoke, ye did not hear; but ye did what is evil in my eyes, and that wherein I had no delight did ye choose.
os destinaré a la espada, y todos os encorvaréis para ser degollados. Porque Yo llamé y no respondisteis, hablé y no escuchasteis, hicisteis lo que era malo a mis ojos, y elegisteis lo que Yo aborrecía.”
13 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be made ashamed;
Por eso, así dice Yahvé el Señor: “He aquí que mis siervos comerán, y vosotros tendréis hambre; he aquí que mis siervos beberán, y vosotros tendréis sed; he aquí que mis siervos se alegrarán, y vosotros quedaréis avergonzados.
14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry out from pain of heart, and from a broken spirit shall ye howl;
He aquí que mis siervos cantarán en la felicidad de su corazón, más vosotros clamaréis lleno de dolor el corazón, y aullaréis en la desesperación de vuestra alma.
15 And ye shall leave behind your name for an oath unto my elect ones, when the Lord Eternal will slay thee; but his servants will he call by another name.
Dejaréis vuestro nombre como imprecación para mis escogidos, pues Yahvé, el Señor, acabará contigo, y a sus siervos les dará otro nombre.
16 Whoever there be that blesseth himself on the earth shall bless himself by the true God; and that sweareth on the earth shall swear by the true God; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from my eyes.
Quienquiera se bendijere en la tierra, se bendecirá en el Dios Amén y quien jurare en la tierra, jurará por el Dios Amén, porque las angustias pasadas quedarán olvidadas no estarán más ante mis ojos.
17 For, behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind;
Porque he aquí que voy a crear nuevos cielos y nueva tierra; de las cosas anteriores no se hará más mención, ni habrá recuerdo de ellas.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice unto all eternity in what I create; for, behold, I will create Jerusalem for rejoicing, and her people for gladness.
Alegraos y regocijaos eternamente por lo que voy a crear; porque he aquí que voy a crear a Jerusalén (para que sea) alegría y a su pueblo (para que sea un) gozo.
19 And I will rejoice over Jerusalem, and be glad in my people: and there shall not be heard in her any more the voice of weeping, nor the voice of complaint.
Me regocijaré en Jerusalén, y hallaré mi gozo en mi pueblo; y no se oirá más en ella voz de llanto ni de lamento.
20 There shall no more come thence an infant of few days, nor an old man that shall not have the full length of his days; for as a lad shall one die a hundred years old; and as a sinner shall be accursed he who [dieth] at a hundred years old.
No habrá allí en adelante niño (nacido) para (pocos) días, ni anciano que no haya cumplido sus días, pues morir niño será morir a los cien años, y el pecador de cien años será maldito.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.
Edificarán casas, y habitarán en ellas; plantarán viñas y comerán de su fruto.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat; for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and the work of their hands shall my elect wear out.
No edificarán para que habite otro, ni plantarán para que otro sea el que coma; porque como los días de los árboles serán los días de mi pueblo, y mis escogidos consumirán (el fruto de) la obra de sus manos.
23 They shall not toil in vain, nor bring forth unto an early death; for the seed of the blessed of the Lord are they, and their offspring with them.
No se fatigarán en vano, y no darán a luz para muerte prematura; porque estirpe de los benditos de Yahvé son, así ellos como sus hijos.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before yet they call will I answer; and while they are still speaking will I hear.
Antes que ellos clamaren, responderé, y cuando ellos aún estén hablando, ya los habré escuchado.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall like the bullock eat straw: and the serpent—dust shall be his food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.
El lobo y el cordero pacerán juntos; el león, como el buey, comerán paja, y la serpiente se alimentará con polvo; no dañarán ni causarán muerte en todo mi santo monte, dice Yahvé.
