< Isaiah 63 >

1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, dyed red in his garments from Bozrah? this—glorious in his apparel, moving along in the greatness of his strength? “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
Hwan ni yei a ɔfiri Edom reba, deɛ ɔfiri Bosra a nkekaeɛ kɔkɔɔ wɔ nʼatadeɛ mu yi? Hwan ne yei a wɔahyehyɛ no gɔsɔɔ yi, a ɔde nʼahoɔden kɛseɛ retutu taataa yi? “Ɛyɛ me a mekasa wɔ tenenee mu deɛ ɔtumi gye nkwa.”
2 Why is redness on thy apparel, and [why are] thy garments as of one that treadeth the wine-press?
Adɛn enti na mo ntadeɛ bere kɔɔ, te sɛ obi a ɔretiatia nsakyiamena so deɛ yi?
3 “I have trodden the vat alone, and of the nations there was no man with me; and I trod them down in my anger, and I trampled on them in my fury; and their blood was sprinkled on my garments, and all my raiments have I stained.
“Me nko ara atiatia nsakyiamena so, na amanaman no mu obiara anka me ho. Metiatiaa wɔn so wɔ mʼabufuo mu na memiaa wɔn so wɔ mʼabufuhyeɛ mu; wɔn mogya bɔ petee me ntadeɛ mu, maa nkekaeɛ yɛɛ mʼaduradeɛ nyinaa mu.
4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed was come.
Na aweretɔ da wɔ mʼakoma mu na me gyeɛ afe no aba.
5 And I looked, and there was no one to help, and I was astonished, and there was no one to support; and then my own arm aided me, and my fury—this it was that upheld me.
Mehwɛeɛ, nanso na ɔboafoɔ biara nni hɔ, ɛyɛɛ me ahodwirie sɛ obiara ammoa me; enti mʼankasa abasa yɛɛ nkwagyeɛ dwuma maa me, na mʼabufuo wowaa me.
6 And I stamped down nations in my anger, and I made them drunken with my fury, and brought down to the earth their victorious strength.”
Metiatiaa amanaman no so wɔ mʼabufuo mu; memaa wɔboboroe wɔ mʼabufuhyeɛ mu na mehwiee wɔn mogya guu fam.”
7 The kindnesses of the Lord will I mention, the praises of the Lord, in accordance with all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the abundant goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and the abundance of his kindnesses.
Mɛka Awurade ayamyɛ ho asɛm, ne nneyɛɛ a enti ɔsɛ ayɛyie, wɔ deɛ Awurade ayɛ ama yɛn nyinaa ho aane, wɔ nneɛma pa bebree a wayɛ ama Israel fiefoɔ, wɔ nʼayamhyehyeɛ ne ne mmɔborɔhunu a ɛdɔɔso no enti.
8 And he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie; and he became to them a Saviour.
Ɔkaa sɛ, “Ampa ara wɔyɛ me nkurɔfoɔ, mmammarima a wɔrenni me hwammɔ”; ɛno enti ɔbɛyɛɛ wɔn Agyenkwa.
9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and he carried them all the days of old.
Wɔn amanehunu nyinaa mu, ɔno nso hunuu amane, na ɔbɔfoɔ a ɔka no ho no nso gyee wɔn. Ne dɔ ne ne mmɔborɔhunu mu, ɔgyee wɔn; ɔpagyaa wɔn na ɔsoaa wɔn mfeɛ a atwam no nyinaa mu.
10 But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit; and he changed himself to become their enemy, and he fought against them.
Nanso, wɔtee atua de hoo ne Honhom Kronkron werɛ. Enti ɔbɛyɛɛ wɔn ɔtamfoɔ na ɔno ankasa ko tiaa wɔn.
11 Then remembered his people the ancient days of Moses, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put within him his holy Spirit?
Afei ne nkurɔfoɔ kaee tete nna no, Mose ne ne nkurɔfoɔ nna no. Wɔbisaa sɛ, ɛhe na deɛ ɔde wɔn faa ɛpo mu no wɔ? Deɛ ɔmaa Mose yɛɛ ne nnwan no hwɛfoɔ no. Ɛhe na deɛ ɔmaa ne Honhom Kronkron no tenaa wɔn mu no wɔ?
12 That displayed by the right hand of Moses his glorious arm; that divided the water before them, to make unto himself an everlasting name?
Deɛ ɔsomaa nʼanimuonyam basa a ɛwɔ tumi sɛ ɔmmɛgyina Mose nsa nifa so, deɛ ɔpaee nsuo no mu wɔ wɔn anim, de gyee edin maa ne ho afebɔɔ,
13 That led them through the deeps, as a horse through the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
deɛ ɔdii wɔn anim faa ebunu mu sɛdeɛ ɔpɔnkɔ fa asase tamaa so a wɔasunti.
14 As a beast goeth down into the valley, so did the spirit of the Lord bring them to rest; thus didst thou guide thy people, to make unto thyself a glorious name.
15 Look down from heaven, and behold, from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mights, the yearning of thy bowels and of thy mercy which are now restrained from me?
Brɛ wʼani ase hwɛ fam firi wʼahennwa a ɛkorɔn na ɛyɛ kronkron na ɛho wɔ nyam no so. Mo mmɔdemmɔ ne mo ahoɔden wɔ he? Woayi wʼayamhyehyeɛ ne wʼahummɔborɔ afiri yɛn so.
16 For thou art our father; for Abraham knoweth nothing of us, and Israel recogniseth us not: thou, O Lord, art our father, our Redeemer from everlasting is thy name.
Nanso wo ara wo ne yɛn Agya ɛwom sɛ Abraham nnim yɛn na Israel nso nnye yɛn nto mu deɛ; nanso wo, Ao Awurade, wo ne yɛn Agya, ɛfiri tete wo din ne Yɛn Gyefoɔ.
17 Why hast thou let us go astray, O Lord, from thy ways, suffered our heart to be hardened against thy fear? Return for the sake of thy servants, the tribes of thy heritage.
Adɛn, Ao Awurade, na woma yɛn kwati wʼakwan na wopirim yɛn akoma enti ɛmma yɛn nni wo ni? Sane bra ɛsiane wʼasomfoɔ, mmusuakuo a wɔyɛ wʼagyapadeɛ no enti.
18 But a brief space were thy holy people in possession, when our adversaries trod down thy sanctuary.
Ɛberɛ tiawa bi mu wo nkurɔfoɔ faa wo kronkronbea nanso seesei yɛn atamfoɔ atiatia so.
19 We are become as though we are those over whom thou hast never ruled, over whom thy name hath not been called.
