Isaiah 63
1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, dyed red in his garments from Bozrah? this—glorious in his apparel, moving along in the greatness of his strength? “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
Któż to jest, który idzie z Edom, w szatach ubroczonych we krwi z Bocra? Ten przyozdobiony szatą swoją, postępujący w wielkości mocy swojej? Jam jest, który mówię sprawiedliwość, dostateczny do wybawienia.
2 Why is redness on thy apparel, and [why are] thy garments as of one that treadeth the wine-press?
Przeczże jest czerwone odzienie twoje? a szaty twoje jako tego, który tłoczy w prasie?
3 “I have trodden the vat alone, and of the nations there was no man with me; and I trod them down in my anger, and I trampled on them in my fury; and their blood was sprinkled on my garments, and all my raiments have I stained.
Prasę tłoczyłem Ja sam, a nikt z ludu nie był zemnę; Ja, mówię, tłoczyłem nieprzyjaciół w gniewie swym, i podeptałem ich w popędliwości mojej, aż pryskała krew mocarzów ich na szaty moje; a tak wszystko odzienie moje spluskałem.
4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed was come.
Albowiem dzień pomsty był w sercu mojem, a rok odkupionych moich przyszedł.
5 And I looked, and there was no one to help, and I was astonished, and there was no one to support; and then my own arm aided me, and my fury—this it was that upheld me.
Lecz gdym widział, że nie było pomocnika, ażem się zdumał, że nikogo nie było, coby mię podparł, przetoż mi wybawienie sprawiło ramię moje, a popędliwość moja, ta mię podparła.
6 And I stamped down nations in my anger, and I made them drunken with my fury, and brought down to the earth their victorious strength.”
I podeptałem narody w gniewie swym, a opoiłem je w zapalczywości mojej, i uderzyłem o ziemię mocarzy ich.
7 The kindnesses of the Lord will I mention, the praises of the Lord, in accordance with all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the abundant goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and the abundance of his kindnesses.
Miłosierdzia Pańskie wspominać będę, i chwały Pańskie za wszystko, cokolwiek nam uczynił Pan, i hojność dóbr, które pokazał domowi Izraelskiemu według miłosierdzia swego, i według wielkich litości swoich.
8 And he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie; and he became to them a Saviour.
Bo rzekł: Wżdyć są ludem moim, są synami, nie przeniewierzą mi się; przetoż był ich zbawicielem.
9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and he carried them all the days of old.
We wszelakiem uciśnieniu ich i on był uciśniony: ale Anioł oblicza jego wybawił ich. Z miłości swej, i z litości swojej on sam odkupił ich, piastował ich i nosił ich po wszystkie dni wieków.
10 But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit; and he changed himself to become their enemy, and he fought against them.
Ale oni odpornymi byli, i zasmucali Ducha jego Świętego; dla tego obrócił się im w nieprzyjaciela, a sam walczył przeciwko nim.
11 Then remembered his people the ancient days of Moses, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put within him his holy Spirit?
I wspominał sobie lud jego na dni starodawne, i na Mojżesza, mówiąc: Gdzież jest ten, który ich wywiódł z morza, z pasterzem trzody swojej? Gdzież jest ten, który położył w pośrodku jego Ducha swego Świętego?
12 That displayed by the right hand of Moses his glorious arm; that divided the water before them, to make unto himself an everlasting name?
Który ich wiódł po prawicy Mojżeszowej ramieniem wielmożności swojej? który rozdzielił wody przed nimi, aby sobie uczynił imię wieczne?
13 That led them through the deeps, as a horse through the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
Który ich przeprowadził przez przepaści, jako konia po puszczy, a nie szwankowali?
14 As a beast goeth down into the valley, so did the spirit of the Lord bring them to rest; thus didst thou guide thy people, to make unto thyself a glorious name.
Jako gdy bydlę na dół zstępuje: tak Duch Pański zwolna prowadził z nich każdego; takeś wiódł lud swój, abyś sobie uczynił imię sławne.
15 Look down from heaven, and behold, from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mights, the yearning of thy bowels and of thy mercy which are now restrained from me?
Spojrzyjże z nieba, a obacz z mieszkania świętobliwości twojej, i ozdoby twojej. Gdzież jest gorliwość twoja, i wielka siła twoja? Gdzie wzruszenie wnętrzności twoich, i litości twoich? Przedemnąż zawściągnione będą?
16 For thou art our father; for Abraham knoweth nothing of us, and Israel recogniseth us not: thou, O Lord, art our father, our Redeemer from everlasting is thy name.
Tyś zaiste ojciec nasz: bo Abraham nie wie o nas, a Izrael nie zna nas. Tyś, Panie! ojciec nasz, odkupiciel nasz; toć jest od wieku imię twoje.
17 Why hast thou let us go astray, O Lord, from thy ways, suffered our heart to be hardened against thy fear? Return for the sake of thy servants, the tribes of thy heritage.
Przeczżeś nam, Panie! dopuścił błądzić z dróg twoich? przeczżeś zatwardził serce nasze, abyśmy się ciebie nie bali? Nawróćże się dla sług twoich, dla pokolenia dziedzictwa twego.
18 But a brief space were thy holy people in possession, when our adversaries trod down thy sanctuary.
Na mały czas posiadł ziemię lud świętobliwości twojej; nieprzyjaciele nasi podeptali świątnicę twoję.
19 We are become as though we are those over whom thou hast never ruled, over whom thy name hath not been called.
Myśmy twoi od wieku, a nad tymi nigdyś nie panował, ani wzywano imienia twego nad nimi.
