Isaiah 60
1 Arise, give light, for thy light is come; and the glory of the Lord is shining forth over thee.
Levanta-te! Brilha! Porque já chegou a tua luz; e a glória do SENHOR já está raiando sobre ti.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and a gross darkness the people; but over thee will shine forth the Lord, and his glory will be seen over thee.
Porque eis que as trevas cobrirão a terra, e a escuridão aos povos; porém sobre ti o SENHOR virá raiando, e sua glória será vista sobre ti.
3 And nations shall walk by thy light, and kings by the brightness of thy shining.
E as nações virão à tua luz, e os reis ao brilho que raiou a ti.
4 Lift up thy eyes round about and see, they all are assembled, they come to thee, thy sons are coming from afar, and thy daughters are brought along in arms.
Levanta teus olhos ao redor, e vê; todos estes se ajuntaram, [e] vem a ti; teus filhos virão de longe, e tuas filhas serão criadas ao teu lado.
5 Then wilt thou see and be filled with light, and thy heart will dread and be enlarged; because unto thee shall be turned the abundance of the sea, the riches of nations shall come unto thee.
Então verás, e te alegrarás; teu coração palpitará e se encherá de alegria, porque a abundância do mar a ti se voltará, as riquezas das nações a ti chegarão.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and 'Ephah; they all from Sheba shall come: gold and frankincense shall they carry, and the praises of the Lord shall they announce.
Multidão de camelos te cobrirá; dromedários de Midiã e Efá, todos virão de Sabá; trarão ouro e incenso, e declararão louvores ao SENHOR.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be assembled unto thee, the rams of Nebayoth shall minister unto thee: they shall come for a favorable acceptance [unto me] upon my altar, and the house of my glory will I glorify.
Todas as ovelhas de Quedar se ajuntarão a ti; os carneiros de Nebaiote te servirão; com agrado subirão ao meu altar, e eu glorificarei a casa de minha glória.
8 Who are these that fly like a cloud, and like the doves, to their windows?
Quem são estes que vêm voando como nuvens, e como pombas às suas janelas?
9 Yea, unto me [the inhabitants of] the isles shall hasten, and the ships of Tharshish at first, to bring thy sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel; because he hath glorified thee.
Pois as ilhas me esperarão, e primeiro os navios de Társis, para trazer teus filhos de longe, sua prata e seu ouro com eles; para o nome do SENHOR teu Deus, e para o Santo de Israel, porque ele te glorificou.
10 And the sons of the stranger shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee; for in my wrath did I smite thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.
E filhos de estrangeiros edificarão teus muros, e seus reis te servirão; porque em minha ira eu te feri, porém em meu favor tive misericórdia de ti.
11 And thy gates shall stand open continually, day and night shall they not be closed, to bring unto thee the wealth of nations, and their kings led [captive].
E tuas portas estarão continuamente abertas, nem de dia nem de noite se fecharão; para que tragam a ti as riquezas das nações, e seus reis [a ti] sejam trazidos.
12 For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; and the nations shall be utterly destroyed.
Pois a nação e reino que não te servirem perecerão; e tais nações serão assoladas por completo.
13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir, the cypress, and the box together, to adorn the place of my sanctuary, and the [resting] place of my feet will I glorify.
A glória do Líbano virá a ti, a faia, o pinheiro, e o cipreste juntamente, para ornamentarem o lugar do meu santuário, e glorificarei o lugar de meus pés.
14 And then shall come unto thee bent down the sons of those who afflicted thee, and there shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet all thy revilers; and they shall call thee, The city of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Também virão a ti inclinados os filhos dos que te oprimiram, e se prostrarão às pisadas de teus pés todos os que blasfemaram de ti; e te chamarão a cidade do SENHOR, a Sião do Santo de Israel.
15 Instead that thou wast forsaken and hated, without one to pass through [thee], will I render thee an excellency of everlasting, a joy of all generations.
Em vez de abandonada e odiada, [de tal modo] que ninguém passava [por ti], eu farei de ti uma excelência eterna, alegria de geração após geração.
16 And thou shalt suck the milk of nations, and the breast of kings shalt thou suck; and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
E mamarás o leite das nações, e mamarás os peitos dos reis; e saberás que eu sou o SENHOR, teu Salvador e teu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.
17 Instead of the copper will I bring gold, and instead of the iron will I bring silver, and instead of wood copper, and instead of the stones iron; and I will set peace as thy authorities, and righteousness as thy taskmasters.
Em vez de bronze trarei ouro, e em vez de ferro trarei prata, e em vez de madeira bronze, e em vez de pedras ferro; e farei pacíficos teus oficiais, e justos aqueles que cobram de ti.
18 There shall not be heard any wore violence in thy land, wasting and destruction within thy boundaries; but thou shalt call, Salvation, thy walls, and thy gates, Praise.
Nunca mais se ouvirá falar de violência em tua terra; [nem] ruína, nem destruição dentro de tuas fronteiras; em vez disso, a teus muros chamarás Salvação, e a tuas portas Louvor.
19 The sun shall not be unto thee any more for a light by day, and for brightness shall the moon not give light unto thee; but the Lord will be unto thee for a light of everlasting, and thy God as thy glory.
Nunca mais o sol te servirá para luz do dia, nem com [seu] brilho a lua te iluminará; mas o SENHOR será tua luz eterna, e teu Deus o teu ornamento.
20 Thy sun shall not go down any more, and thy moon shall not be withdrawn; for the Lord will be unto thee for a light of everlasting, and ended shall be the days of thy mourning,
Nunca mais o teu sol irá se por, nem tua lua minguará; porque o SENHOR será tua luz eterna, e os dias de teu luto se acabarão.
21 And thy people—they all will be righteous, for ever shall they possess the land, the sprout of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may glorify myself.
E todos os de teu povo serão justos; para sempre terão posse da terra; serão renovo de minha plantação, obra de minhas mãos, para que eu seja glorificado.
22 The little one shall become a thousand, and the small, a mighty nation: I the Lord will hasten it in its time.
O menor será mil, e o de menor tamanho será um povo forte; eu, o SENHOR, o farei depressa em seu [devido] tempo.
