Isaiah 6
1 In the year of king 'Uzziyahu's death I saw the Lord sitting upon a high and exalted throne, and his train filled the temple.
১যে বছরে রাজা উষিয় মারা গেলেন সেই বছরে আমি দেখলাম প্রভু খুব উঁচু একটা সিংহাসনে বসে আছেন। তিনি উচ্চ ও উন্নত ছিলেন এবং তাঁর পোশাকের পাড় দিয়ে মন্দির পূর্ণ ছিল।
2 Seraphim were standing around him, each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two did he fly.
২তাঁর উপরে ছিলেন সরাফরা; তাঁদের প্রত্যেকের ছয়টা করে ডানা ছিল, প্রত্যেকে দুটি ডানা দিয়ে নিজেদের মুখ ঢাকতেন এবং দুটি ডানা দিয়ে পা ঢাকেন এবং দুটি ডানা দিয়ে তাঁরা ওড়েন।
3 And one called unto the other, and said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.
৩তাঁরা একে অন্যকে ডাকছিল এবং বলছিল, “বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভু পবিত্র, পবিত্র, পবিত্র; সমস্ত পৃথিবী তাঁর মহিমায় পরিপূর্ণ।”
4 And the posts of the threshold shook at the voice of those that called aloud, and the house was filled with smoke.
৪তাদের আওয়াজে দরজা ও গোবরাটগুলো কেঁপে উঠল যারা চিত্কার করছিল এবং ঘরটা ধোঁয়ায় ভরে গেল।
5 And I said, Woe is me! for I am lost; because a man of unclean lips am I, and in the midst of a people of unclean lips do I dwell; for the King, the Lord of hosts have my eyes seen.
৫তখন আমি বললাম, “হায়, আমি নষ্ট হয়ে গেলাম, কারণ আমি অশুচি ঠোঁটের মানুষ এবং আমি অশুচি ঠোঁট লোকদের মধ্যে বাস করছি। কারণ আমার চোখ রাজাকে, বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভুকে দেখতে পেয়েছে।”
6 Then flew unto me one of the seraphim, and in his hand was a live coal, with the tongs had he taken it from off the altar:
৬তখন সরাফদের একজন আমার কাছে উড়ে আসলেন, তার হাতে একটা জ্বলন্ত কয়লা ছিল, তিনি যজ্ঞবেদির ওপর থেকে চিমটা দিয়ে তা নিয়েছিলেন।
7 And he touched therewith upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thy iniquity is departed, and thy sin is forgiven.
৭তিনি আমার মুখে তা ছোঁয়ালেন এবং বললেন, “দেখ, এটা তোমার ঠোঁট ছুঁয়েছে; তোমার অপরাধ দূর করা হল এবং তোমার পাপের প্রায়শ্চিত্ত হল।”
8 And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? And I said, Here am I: send me.
৮আমি প্রভুর কথা শুনতে পেলাম, তিনি বললেন, “আমি কাকে পাঠাব? আমাদের জন্য কে যাবে?” তখন আমি বললাম, “এই যে আমি, আমাকে পাঠান।”
9 And he said, Go, and say unto this people, Hear indeed, but understand not; and see indeed, but know not.
৯তিনি বললেন, “যাও এবং লোকদেরকে এই কথা বল, শোনো, কিন্তু বোঝো না, দেখো, কিন্তু জেনো না।
10 Obdurate will remain the heart of this people, and their ears will be heavy, and their eyes will be shut: so that they will not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor their hearts be understanding, so that they be converted, and healing be granted them.
১০তুমি এই লোকদের হৃদয় কঠিন কর এবং তাদের কান বধির কর এবং তাদের চোখ অন্ধ কর। যাতে তারা চোখে দেখতে পাওয়া অথবা কানে শুনতে না পাওয়া হৃদয়ে বুঝতে পারা এবং ফিরে আসা এবং সুস্থ করতে না পারে।”
11 And I said, How long, O Lord? And he said, Until that cities be left waste without an inhabitant, and houses without man, and the soil be made desolate as a wilderness,
১১তখন আমি বললাম, “হে প্রভু, কত দিন?” তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, “যতদিন না শহরগুলো ধ্বংস ও বাসিন্দাবিহীন না হয় এবং বাড়ী-ঘর খালি না হয়ে যায় এবং ভূমি নির্জন স্থান পরিণত হয়;
12 And the Lord will have removed far away the men, and the depopulation be great in the midst of the land.
১২এবং যতদিন না সদাপ্রভু লোকদেরকে দূরে পাঠিয়ে দিচ্ছেন ততদিন পর্যন্ত এই দেশের নির্জনতাই মহান।
13 And should a tenth part thereof yet remain, it will again be swept away: [yet] like the terebinth and the oak, which, when they cast their leaves, retain their stems, so remaineth the holy seed, its stem.
১৩এমনকি যদি এর মধ্যে দশভাগ লোক থাকে, এটা আবার ধ্বংস হবে; যেমন তার্পিন অথবা এলোন গাছ কাটা হয় এবং যার গুঁড়ি অবশিষ্ট থাকে, তেমনি এই গুঁড়ি হিসাবে দেশে পবিত্র বীজের লোক থাকবে।”
