Isaiah 56
1 Thus hath said the Lord, Keep ye justice, and do equity; for near is my salvation to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
Assim diz o Senhor: Guardae o juizo, e fazei justiça, porque já a minha salvação está perto, para vir, e a minha justiça, para se manifestar.
2 Happy is the mortal that ever doth this, and the son of man that ever layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath by not violating it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Bemaventurado o homem que fizer isto, e o filho do homem que lançar mão d'isto; que se guarda de profanar o sabbado, e guarda a sua mão de perpetrar algum mal.
3 And let not say the son of the stranger, that joineth himself unto the Lord, saying, Surely the Lord will exclude me from his people; nor let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
E não falle o filho do estrangeiro, que se houver chegado ao Senhor, dizendo: De todo me apartou o Senhor do seu povo: nem tão pouco diga o eunucho: Eis que eu sou uma arvore secca.
4 For thus hath said the Lord concerning the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and make choice of what pleaseth me, and take hold of my covenant.
Porque assim diz o Senhor dos eunuchos, que guardam os meus sabbados, e escolhem aquillo em que eu me agrado, e abraçam o meu concerto:
5 I will indeed give unto them in my house and within my walls a place and a name, better than sons and daughters: an everlasting name will I give them, that shall not be cut off.
Tambem lhes darei na minha casa e dentro dos meus muros um logar e um nome, melhor do que o de filhos e filhas: um nome eterno darei a cada um d'elles, que nunca se apagará.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves unto the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be unto him as servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath by not violating it, and those who take hold of my covenant:
E aos filhos dos estrangeiros, que se chegarem ao Senhor, para o servirem, e para amarem o nome do Senhor, e para lhe servirem de servos, todos os que guardarem o sabbado, não o profanando, e os que abraçarem o meu concerto,
7 Even these will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations.
Tambem os levarei ao meu sancto monte, e os festejarei na minha casa de oração, os seus holocaustos e os seus sacrificios serão acceitos no meu altar; porque a minha casa será chamada a casa de oração para todos os povos
8 Thus saith the Lord Eternal who gathereth the outcasts of Israel, I will yet gather [others] to him, beside his own gathered [outcasts].
Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah, que ajunta os dispersos de Israel: Ainda mais lhe ajuntarei com os que já se lhe ajuntaram.
9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, [yea, ] all ye beasts in the forest.
Vós, todas as bestas do campo, todas as bestas dos bosques, vinde a comer.
10 His watchmen are all of them blind, they know nothing; they all are dumb dogs, they cannot bark; dreamers, lying down, loving to slumber.
Todos os seus atalaias são cegos, nada sabem; todos são cães mudos, não podem ladrar: andam adormecidos, estão deitados, e amam o tosquenejar.
11 But the dogs are of a greedy disposition, they know not how to be satisfied; and those are shepherds that know how to understand: they all turn to their own way, every one after his gain, from all quarters.
E estes cães são golosos, não se podem fartar; e elles são pastores que nada sabem entender: todos elles se tornam para o seu caminho, cada um para a sua ganancia, cada um por sua parte.
12 Come ye, I will fetch wine, and let us swallow abundantly of strong drink; and like this day shall it be tomorrow, excellent and in very great abundance.
Vinde, dizem, trarei vinho, e beberemos bebida forte; e o dia d'ámanhã será como este, e ainda maior e mais famoso.
