Isaiah 54
1 Sing, O barren one, that thou hast not born: break forth into song, and rejoice aloud, that thou hast not travailed; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
Riemuitse sinä hedelmätöin, joka et synnytä: iloitse riemulla ja ihastu sinä, joka et raskas ole; sillä yksinäisellä on enempi lapsia kuin sillä, jolla mies on, sanoo Herra.
2 Enlarge the space of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations, —spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
Levitä majas sia, ja venytä asumises vaate, älä säästä; pitennä köytes, ja kiinnitä vaajas lujasti.
3 For to the right and to the left shalt thou spread forth; and thy seed shall drive out nations, desolate cities shall they repeople.
Sillä sinun pitää oikialle ja vasemmalle puolelle levenemän, ja sinun siemenes pitää pakanat perimän, ja aukeissa kaupungeissa asuman.
4 Fear not, for thou shalt not be made ashamed; and be not confounded, for thou shalt not be put to the blush; for the shame of thy youth shalt thou forget, and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou not remember any more.
Älä pelkää, sillä et sinä tule häpiään; älä ole kaino, sillä ei sinun pidä häpiään tuleman. Vaan sinun pitää nuoruutes häpiän unohtaman, ja sinun leskeytes kainoutta ei enään muistaman.
5 For thy husband is thy Maker, the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, “The God of all the earth,” shall he be called.
Sillä joka sinun tehnyt on, hän on sinun miehes, Herra Zebaot on hänen nimensä; ja Israelin Pyhä sinun lunastajas, joka kaiken maailman Jumalaksi kutsutaan.
6 For as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit did the Lord call thee back, and as a wife of youth, that was rejected, saith thy God.
Sillä Herra on kutsunut sinun niinkuin hyljätyn ja sydämestä murheellisen vaimon; ja sinä olit niinkuin nuori emäntä, joka hyljätty on, sanoo sinun Jumalas.
7 But for a brief moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I again receive thee.
Minä olen vähäksi silmänräpäykseksi sinun hyljännyt, mutta minä tahdon sinua suurella laupiudella koota.
8 In a little wrath did I hide my face for a moment from thee; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith thy Redeemer the Lord.
Minä olen vihassani vähäksi silmänräpäykseksi kasvoni kätkenyt sinulta; mutta minä tahdon armahtaa sinua ijankaikkisessa armossa, sanoo Herra, sinun lunastajas.
9 For as the waters of Noah is this unto me; as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more pass over the earth: so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
Sillä tämä on minulle oleva niinkuin Noan vesi, josta minä vannoin, ettei Noan vedet pitänyt enään käymän maan ylitse: juuri niin olen minä nyt vannonut, ettei minun enään pidä sinulle vihastuman, eikä sinua rankaiseman.
10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills may be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith he that hath mercy on thee, the Lord.
Sillä vuoret pitää välttämän ja kukkulat lankeeman; mutta minun armoni ei pidä sinusta poikkeeman, ja minun rauhani liitto ei pidä lankeeman pois, sanoo Herra sinun armahtajas.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed by the tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
Sinä raadollinen, kovalta tuulelta häälytetty, ja sinä turvatoin! katso, minä panen sinun kives niinkuin kaunistuksen, ja tahdon sinun perustukses saphireilla laskea,
12 And I will make of rubies thy battlements, and thy gates into carbuncle-stones, and all thy borders into precious stones.
Ja sinun akkunas kristallista rakentaa, ja sinun porttis rubinista, ja kaikki sinun rajas valituista kivistä.
13 And all thy children shall be disciples of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
Ja kaikki sinun lapses pitää oleman opetetut Herralta, ja suuri rauha sinun lapsilles.
14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: keep far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near unto thee.
Vanhurskaudella pitää sinun valmistetuksi tuleman: sinun pitää oleman kaukana väkivallasta, ettei sinun pidä pelkäämän, ja hämmästyksestä; sillä ei sen pidä sinua lähestymän.
15 Behold, they that assemble together, are nothing without me: whatsoever assembleth together against thee shall fall under thy power.
Katso, kuka tahtoo sinua vastaan koota ja sortaa sinua, jos he ilman minua kokoontuvat?
16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have also created the waster to destroy.
Katso, minä teen sepän, joka hiilet tulessa lietsoo, ja tekee aseen työtänsä varten: niin minä myös teen raatelian hukuttamaan.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that will rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their due reward from me, saith the Lord.
Ei yksikään ase, joka valmistetaan sinua vastaan, pidä menestymän; ja kaikki kielet, jotka heitänsä asettavat sinua vastaan, pitää sinun tuomiollas kadotettaman. Tämä on Herran palveliain perimys, ja heidän vanhurskautensa minusta, sanoo Herra.
