Isaiah 5
1 I will sing now for my beloved, the song of my dear one touching his vineyard. A vineyard had my beloved on a rich hill-top;
Tugoti ako sa pag-awit alang sa akong gihigugma pag-ayo, usa ka awit sa akong gihigugma mahitungod sa iyang parasan. Ang akong gihigugma pag-ayo adunay parasan sa tabunok kaayo nga bungtod.
2 And he fenced it in, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vines, and built a tower in its midst, and also a winepress he hewed out therein: and he hoped that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth worthless fruit.
Gibungkal niya kini, gikuha ang mga bato, ug gitamnan sa labing maayo nga matang sa paras. Gitukoran niya ug tore sa taliwala niini, ug nagtukod usab siya ug pug-anan sa ubas. Nagpaabot siya sa pagpamunga niini, apan ihalas lamang nga mga ubas ang bunga niini.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard.
Busa karon, lumolupyo sa Jerusalem ug tawo sa Juda, hukmi ako ug ang akong parasan.
4 What more was to be done to my vineyard, that I had not done in it? Why then did I hope that it should bring forth grapes, while it brought forth worthless fruit?
Unsa pa man ang akong buhaton alang sa akong parasan, nga wala nako nabuhat alang niini? Sa dihang nagpaabot ako nga mobunga kini, nganong namunga man hinuon kini ug ihalas nga mga ubas?
5 And now I will let you know also what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten off; I will break down its wall, and it shall be trodden down;
Karon sultihan ko kamo kung unsa ang akong buhaton sa akong parasan: kuhaon ko ang kural niini, himoon ko kini nga usa ka sibsibanan, gubaon ko ang paril niini, ug yatakyatakan kini.
6 And I will lay it quite waste; it shall not be pruned, nor hoed around; and it shall be overgrown with briers and thorns; and the clouds will I command that they send down no rain upon it.
Gun-obon ko na kini, ug dili na kini pagapul-ongan ni kapnan. Hinuon, moturok ang mga sampinit ug mga tunok. Sugoon ko usab ang mga panganod nga dili mopaulan niini.
7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are the plant of his delight: and he hoped for justice, but behold injustice; for equity, but behold iniquity.
Kay ang parasan ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom mao ang balay sa Israel, ug ang tawo sa Juda mao ang makapahimuot niyang tanom; nagpaabot siya ug hustisya, apan adunay pagpinatyanay; alang sa pagkamatarong, apan singgit lamang sa pagpakitabang.
8 Woe unto those that cause house to join on house, bring field near to field, till there is no more room, so that ye may be left alone as the inhabitants in the midst of the land!
Alaot kadtong nagpadaghan ug mga balay, kadtong nagpadaghan ug mga uma, hangtod nga wala nay lawak nga mahibilin, ug magpabilin kang mag-inusara sa yuta!
9 In my ears [spoke] the Lord of hosts, Truly many houses shall become desolate, yea, great and beautiful ones without an inhabitant.
Gisultihan ako ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, daghang kabalayan ang biyaan, bisan pa ang dagko ug nindot, wala nay lumolupyo.
10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield [but] one bath, and a chomer-seed shall yield [but] an ephah.
Kay ang napulo ka yugo nga parasan mohatag lamang ug usa ka bath, ug ang usa ka homer nga binhi mohatag lamang ug usa ka ephah.
11 Woe unto those that rise up early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink; that continue until late in the twilight, till wine inflame them!
Alaot kadtong nagsayo ug bangon sa buntag aron sa pag-inom ug isog nga ilimnon, kadtong naglangaylangay diha sa kangitngit hangtod nga mahubog sila sa bino.
12 And there are harp and psaltery, tambourine and flute, and wine at their drinking-feasts; but the deeds of the Lord they regard not, and the works of his hands they behold not.
Nagbangketi sila uban sa alpa, gamay nga gitara, tamborin, plawta, ug bino, apan wala nila ilha ang buhat ni Yahweh, ni gihunahuna ang mga buhat sa iyang mga kamot.
13 Therefore are my people led into exile, for want of knowledge: and their honorable men suffer of famine, and their multitude are panting with thirst.
Busa giulipon ang akong katawhan kay kulang ug pagsabot; gigutom ang ilang halangdon nga mga pangulo, ug walay mainom ang yano nilang mga tawo.
14 Therefore hath the deep enlarged her desire, and opened her mouth without measure: and there descend [Jerusalem's] glory, and her multitude, and her noise, and whoever rejoiced therein. (Sheol h7585)
Busa adunay mas dakong kagana ang Sheol ug nagnganga kini ug maayo; ang inila diha kanila, ang katawhan, ang mga pangulo, ug ang mga tigmaya ug kadtong nagmalipayon, mangadto sa Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
15 And bent down shall be the son of earth, and humbled shall be the man, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled;
Mapugos sa pagyukbo ang tawo, ug magpaubos ang katawhan; ipaubos ang mga mata sa mapahitas-on.
16 And the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and the holy God shall be sanctified by [displaying his] righteousness.
Ibayaw si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom diha sa iyang hustisya, ug ipakita sa Dios nga Usa ka Balaan ang iyang pagkamatarong.
17 Then shall the sheep feed according to their wont, and the ruins of the fat ones shall sojourners eat.
Unya manibsib ang mga karnero ingon nga anaa sa ilang kaugalingong sibsibanan, ug diha sa mga guba, ang nating mga karnero manibsib ingon nga mga langyaw.
18 Woe unto those that draw iniquity with the cords of falsehood, and as with a wagon-rope, sinfulness;
Alaot kadtong nagguyod sa pagkadaotan uban sa walay pulos nga mga pisi ug kadtong nagguyod sa sala ingon nga hikot sa kariton.
19 That say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it: and let draw nigh and come the counsel of the Holy One of Israel, that we may know it!
Alaot kadtong nag-ingon, “Padalia ang Dios, tugoti siya nga mamuhat ug dali, aron makita nato kini nga mahitabo; ug tugoti nga moabot ang mga laraw sa Usa ka Balaan sa Israel, aron nga masayod kita niini.”
20 Woe unto those that say of the evil it is good, and of the good it is evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Alaot kadtong nagtawag sa daotan nga maayo, ug maayo ang daotan; kadtong nagpaila sa kangitngit ingon nga kahayag, ug ang kahayag ingon nga kangitngit; kadtong nagpaila sa pait ingon nga tam-is, ug ang tam-is ingon nga pait!
21 Woe unto those that are wise in their own eyes, and intelligent in their own esteem!
Alaot kadtong mga maalamon sa ilang kaugalingong mga mata, ug ang mga maampingon sa ilang kaugalingong panabot!
22 Woe unto those that are heroes to drink wine, and men of might to mingle strong drink;
Alaot kadtong mga mananaog sa pag-inom ug bino, ug mga hanas sa pagtimpla sa isog nga mga ilimnon;
23 Who justify the wicked in lieu of a bribe, and who deprive the righteous of their right!
kadtong nagpakamatarong sa daotan pinaagi sa suhol, ug pagkuha sa katungod sa mga walay sala!
24 Therefore as the tongue of the fire devoureth the stubble, and dry hay sinketh before the flame: so shall their root be as rotten things, and their blossom shall fly up as the dust; because they have despised the law of the Lord of hosts, and the word of the Holy One of Israel they have rejected.
Busa ingon nga ang dila sa kalayo molamoy sa dagami, ug ingon nga masunog ang nalaya nga sagbot, busa malata ang gamot niini, ug mapalid ang bulak niini sama sa abog. Mahitabo kini kay gisalikway nila ang balaod ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, ug tungod kay gitamay nila ang pulong sa Usa ka Balaan sa Israel.
25 For this cause is kindled the anger of the Lord against his people, and he stretcheth forth his hand against them, and he smiteth them; and the mountains tremble, and their carcasses lie like sweepings in the midst of the streets: with all this his anger is not turned away, but still is his hand stretched out.
Busa mosilaob ang kasuko ni Yahweh batok sa iyang katawhan. Gituy-od niya ang iyang kamot batok kanila ug gisilotan sila. Mokurog ang kabukiran, ug mahisama sa basura diha sa kadalanan ang ilang mga patayng lawas. Dili mahupay ang iyang kasuko niining mga butanga; hinuon, magpabilin nga gituy-od ang iyang kamot.
26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from afar, and will call for one of them from the end of the earth; and, behold, with speed, swiftly, it cometh;
Ipatindog niya ang usa ka timailhan nga bandera alang sa layo nga mga nasod ug taghoyan kadtong anaa sa kinatumyan sa kalibotan. Tan-awa, moabot dayon sila sa walay langan.
27 There is none weary, nor stumbling among its men; it slumbereth not, it sleepeth not; not loosened is the girdle of its loins, not broken is the latchet of its shoes;
Walay gikapoyan o napandol diha kanila; walay nagduka o nangatulog. Ni miluag ang ilang mga bakos, o nabugto ang mga liston sa ilang sandalyas.
28 Whose arrows are sharpened, and all whose bows are bent; its horses hoofs are hard like the flint, and its wheels like the whirlwind;
Hait ang ilang mga udyong ug gibawog ang tanan nilang pana; sama sa santik ang mga koko sa ilang mga kabayo, ug sama sa bagyo ang mga ligid sa ilang karwahe.
29 It hath a roar like the lioness, it roareth like the young lions: yea, it growleth, and layeth hold of the prey, and carrieth it safely off, with none to deliver.
Mahisama sa usa ka liyon ang ilang pagngulob; magngulob sila sama sa nating mga liyon. Magngulob sila ug gunitan ang biktima ug dad-on kini palayo, nga walay makaluwas.
30 And it will rage against them on that day like with the raging of the sea: and if one look unto the earth, behold, there is darkness, oppression, and the light is darkened through the darkness of its clouds.
Nianang adlawa magngulob sila batok sa biktima sama sa dagat nga nagngulob. Kung motan-aw si bisan kinsa ibabaw sa yuta, makita niya ang kangitngit ug pag-antos; bisan ang kahayag mahimong ngitngit pinaagi sa mga panganod.
