Isaiah 45
1 Thus hath said the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whom I have taken hold of by his right hand, to subdue nations before him, even the loins of kings will I ungird, to open before him [city-]doors, and gates that they shall not be shut;
So spricht der HERR zu seinem Gesalbten, dem Kores, den ich bei seiner rechten Hand ergreife, daß ich die Heiden vor ihm unterwerfe und den Königen das Schwert abgürte, auf daß vor ihm die Türen geöffnet werden und die Tore nicht verschlossen bleiben:
2 I myself will go before thee, and proud eminences will I level: doors of brass will I break in pieces, and bolts of iron will I cut asunder.
Ich will vor dir hergehen und die Höcker eben machen; ich will die ehernen Türen zerschlagen und die eisernen Riegel zerbrechen
3 And I will give unto thee the treasures of darkness, and riches hidden in secret places; in order that thou mayest know that I am the Lord, who call thee by thy name, the God of Israel;
und will dir geben die heimlichen Schätze und die verborgenen Kleinode, auf daß du erkennest, daß ich, der HERR, der Gott Israels, dich bei deinem Namen genannt habe
4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect; and I have called thee by thy name: I have designated thee, though thou hast not known me.
um Jakobs, meines Knechts, willen und um Israels, meines Auserwählten, willen. Ja, ich rief dich bei deinem Namen und nannte dich, da du mich noch nicht kanntest.
5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, beside me there is no god; I assisted thee, though thou hast not known me.
Ich bin der HERR und sonst keiner mehr; kein Gott ist ohne ich. Ich habe dich gerüstet, da du mich noch nicht kanntest,
6 In order that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from its setting, that there is nothing without me. I am the Lord, and there is no one else;
auf daß man erfahre beide von der Sonnen Aufgang und der Sonnen Niedergang, daß außer mir nichts sei. Ich bin der HERR und keiner mehr,
7 Forming the light, and creating darkness; making peace, and creating evil: I the Lord do all these things.
der ich das Licht mache und schaffe die Finsternis, der ich Frieden gebe und schaffe das Übel. Ich bin der HERR; der solches alles tut.
8 Drop down ye heavens, and let the skies distil blessing; let the earth open and let them [all] be fruitful of prosperity, and let righteousness spring up likewise: I the Lord have created it.
Träufelt, ihr Himmel, von oben, und die Wolken regnen die Gerechtigkeit; die Erde tue sich auf und bringe Heil, und Gerechtigkeit wachse mit zu! Ich, der HERR, schaffe es.
9 Woe unto him that contendeth with the one who formed him—a potsherd among the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
Wehe dem, der mit seinem Schöpfer hadert, nämlich der Scherbe mit dem Töpfer des Tons. Spricht auch der Ton zu seinem Töpfer: Was machst du? Du beweisest deine Hände nicht an deinem Werke?
10 Woe unto him that saith unto [his] father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What bringest thou forth?
Wehe dem, der zum Vater sagt: Warum hast du mich gezeuget? und zum Weibe: Warum gebierest du?
11 Thus hath said the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and he who hath formed him, About events to come will you ask me? concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands will ye command me?
So spricht der HERR, der Heilige in Israel und ihr Meister: Fordert von mir die Zeichen; weiset meine Kinder und das Werk meiner Hände zu mir!
12 [When] I myself have made the earth, and created man upon it; [when] I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and I have ordained all their host.
Ich habe die Erde gemacht und den Menschen darauf geschaffen. Ich bin's, des Hände den Himmel ausgebreitet haben, und habe all seinem Heer geboten.
13 I myself have waked him up in righteousness, and all his ways will I make straight: he shall build my city, and my exiles shall he dismiss free, not for purchase-money nor for presents, saith the Lord of hosts.
Ich habe ihn erweckt in Gerechtigkeit, und alle seine Wege will ich eben machen. Er soll meine Stadt bauen und meine Gefangenen loslassen, nicht um Geld noch um Geschenke, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
14 Thus hath said the Lord, The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of high stature, shall pass over unto thee, and thine shall they be: behind thee shall they walk; in chains shall they pass along, and unto thee shall they bow, unto thee shall they pray, [saying] Yea, only among thee is God; and there is no one else beside God.
So spricht der HERR: Der Ägypter Handel und der Mohren Gewerbe und der langen Leute zu Seba werden sich dir ergeben und dein eigen sein; sie werden dir folgen; in Fesseln werden sie gehen und werden vor dir niederfallen und zu dir flehen; denn bei dir ist Gott, und ist sonst kein Gott nicht mehr.
15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
Fürwahr, du bist ein verborgener Gott, du Gott Israels, der Heiland!
16 They are ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: together shall they go to confusion that are makers of idols.
Aber die Götzenmacher müssen allesamt mit Schanden und Hohn bestehen und miteinander schamrot hingehen.
17 [But] Israel shall be helped by the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed and not be confounded unto all eternity.
Israel aber wird erlöset durch den HERRN, durch eine ewige Erlösung, und wird nicht zuschanden noch zu Spott immer und ewiglich.
18 For thus hath said the Lord the creator of the heavens; he, the God that formed the earth and made it; he that hath established it, —not for naught did he create it, to be inhabited did he form it: I am the Lord; and there is no one else.
Denn so spricht der HERR, der den Himmel geschaffen hat, der Gott, der die Erde zubereitet hat und hat sie gemacht und zugerichtet und sie nicht gemacht hat, daß sie leer soll sein, sondern sie zubereitet hat, daß man darauf wohnen solle: Ich bin der HERR, und ist keiner mehr.
19 Not on a secret spot have I spoken, in a dark place of the earth; I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me for naught; [but] I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
Ich habe nicht ins Verborgene geredet, im finstern Ort der Erde. Ich habe nicht zum Samen Jakobs vergeblich gesagt: Suchet mich! Denn ich bin der HERR, der von Gerechtigkeit redet und verkündige, das da recht ist.
20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye escaped fugitives of the nations! They have no knowledge that carry the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
Laß sich versammeln und kommen miteinander herzu die Helden der Heiden, die nichts wissen und tragen sich mit den Klötzen ihrer Götzen und flehen dem Gott, der nicht helfen kann.
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: Who hath announced this in ancient times? told it from the beginning? is it not I the Lord? and there is no other god without me, a just god and a saviour; there is none beside me.
Verkündiget und macht euch herzu; ratschlaget miteinander! Wer hat dies lassen sagen von alters her und dazumal verkündiget? Habe ich's nicht getan, der HERR? Und ist sonst kein Gott ohne ich, ein gerechter Gott und Heiland; und keiner ist ohne ich.
22 Turn unto me, so that ye may be helped, all ye ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no one else.
Wendet euch zu mir: so werdet ihr selig, aller Welt Ende! Denn ich bin Gott und keiner mehr.
23 By myself have I sworn, righteousness is gone out of my mouth, a word [which] shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bend, every tongue shall swear.
Ich schwöre bei mir selbst, und ein Wort der Gerechtigkeit gehet aus meinem Munde, da soll es bei bleiben, nämlich: Mir sollen sich alle Kniee beugen, und alle Zungen schwören
24 Only in the Lord, —shall men say of me, —there are righteousness and strength. Unto him shall come and be ashamed all that are incensed against him.
und sagen: Im HERRN habe ich Gerechtigkeit und Stärke. Solche werden auch zu ihm kommen; aber alle, die ihm widerstehen, müssen zuschanden werden.
25 In the Lord shall be justified, and shall glory themselves all the seed of Israel.
Denn im HERRN werden gerecht aller Same Israels und sich sein rühmen.
