Isaiah 35
1 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad thereat; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the lily.
Gammoojjii fi lafti gogaan ni gammadu; lafti onaan ni ililcha; ni daraaras. Akka arfaasee,
2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice, yea, with joy and singing; the glory of the Lebanon shall be given unto it, the elegance of Carmel and Sharon; they indeed shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
baayʼinaan daraara; akka malee gammadees ililcha. Ulfinni Libaanoon, surraan Qarmeloosii fi Shaaroon ni kennamaaf; isaan ulfina Waaqayyoo, surraa Waaqa keenyaas ni argu.
3 Strengthen ye weak hands, and stumbling knees make ye firm.
Harka dadhabe jajjabeessaa; jilba laafes cimsaa;
4 Say to the timid of heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God, [with] vengeance will he come, with God's recompense; it is he who will come and save you.
warra garaan isaanii sodaatuun akkana jedhaa: “Jabaadhaa; hin sodaatinaa; Waaqni keessan ni dhufa; inni haaloo baasuuf dhufa; gatii malu qabatee isin oolchuuf ni dhufa.”
5 Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Ergasii iji nama jaamaa ni banama; gurri nama duudaas ni dhagaʼa.
6 Then shall the lame leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and brooks in the desert.
Gaafas namni naafti akkuma gadamsaa utaala; arrabni hidhamaanis gammachuudhaan faarfata. Bishaan gammoojjii keessaa, burqaanis gammoojjii keessaa cabsee baʼa.
7 And the sandy waste shall be changed into a pool, and the thirsty land into springs of water: in the habitation of monsters, where each one used to lie, shall be a court for reeds and rushes.
Lafti nama gubu haroo, lafti gogaan immoo burqaa bishaanii taʼa. Boolla duraan waangoonni keessa ciisan irratti marga, shambaqqoo fi dhallaadduutu biqila.
8 And there shall be a highway and a way, and The holy way, shall it be called; no unclean one shall pass over it; but it shall be [only] theirs; the wayfaring man, and those unacquainted [therewith], shall not go astray.
Karaan guddaan tokko achi ni jiraata; innis, Karaa Qulqullinaa jedhamee waamama; inni warra Karaa sana irra deemaniif taʼa. “Xuraaʼonni” isa irra hin deeman; gowwoonni achiinuu hin baʼan.
9 No lion shall be there, and no ravenous beast shall go up thereon, shall not be found there; but there shall walk the redeemed:
Leenci achitti hin argamu; yookaan bineensi hamaan achi irra hin baʼu; isaan achitti hin argaman. Garuu warra furaman qofatu achi irra deema;
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with song, with everlasting joy upon their head; gladness and joy shall they obtain, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
warri Waaqayyo isaan fure ni deebiʼu. Isaan faarfannaadhaan Xiyoon seenu; gammachuun bara baraa mataa isaanii irra jiraata. Isaan gammachuu fi ililleedhaan guutamu; gaddii fi booʼichi isaan irraa fagaatu.
