Isaiah 32
1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
Si, en Konung varder regerandes med rättviso; och Förstarna, varda rådande till att hålla rätten vid magt;
2 And every one shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivulets of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a large rock in a languishing land.
Att hvar man skall vara såsom en den der för väder bevarad är, och såsom en den der för skurregn förskyld är; såsom vattubäcker på en torr plats, såsom skuggan af ett stort berg uti torro lande.
3 And the eyes of those that see shall not be blinded again, and the ears of those that hear shall hearken.
Och de seende ögon skola icke låta förblinda sig, och de tillhörares öron skola grant påmärka.
4 The heart also of the rash shall be attentive in order to know, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
Och de galne skola lära klokhet, och den stumma tungan skall färdig varda, och renliga tala.
5 The worthless person shall be no more called liberal, and the avaricious man shall not be said to be bountiful.
En dåre skall icke mer varda kallad en Förste, ej heller en giriger en herre.
6 For the worthless person ever speaketh villany, and his heart will work injustice, to practise hypocrisy, and to speak error against the Lord, to leave empty the soul of the hungry, and the drink of the thirsty will he take away.
Ty en dåre talar om dårhet, och hans hjerta umgår med det ondt är, att han skall åstadkomma skrymteri, och predika om Herran villfarelse; att han dermed de hungroga själar utsvälta skall, och förmena dem törstiga drycken.
7 The instruments also of the avaricious man are evil: he deviseth wicked resolves to destroy the poor with words of falsehood, even when the needy speaketh what is right.
Ty dens girigas regerande är icke utan skada; ty han finner listighet till att förderfva de elända med falskom ordom, då han den fattigas rätt tala skall.
8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and he ever persisteth by liberal things.
Men Förstar skola hafva Förstliga tankar, och blifva dervid.
9 Ye careless women rise up, hear my voice; ye daughters that are secure, give ear unto my speech.
Står upp, I stolta qvinnor, hörer mina röst; I döttrar, som så säkra ären, fatter med öronen mitt tal.
10 After days and years shall ye shudder, ye women that are secure; for ended is the vintage, the fruit gathering shall nowise come.
Det är på år och dag till görandes, så skolen I, som säkra ären, bäfva; ty det varder ingen vinand, så blifver ock ingen upphemtning.
11 Tremble, ye careless women; shudder, ye that are secure, strip off your garments and make yourselves bare, and gird [sackcloth] upon the loins.
Förskräcker eder, I stolta qvinnor; bäfver, I säkra. Det skall ske, att I skolen varda afklädda, blottada, gjordada om länderna.
12 [They shall strike] on the breast, lamenting, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
Man skall beklaga om åkrar, ja, om de lustiga åkrar, och om de fruktamma vinträ.
13 Upon the soil of my people thorns and briers shall come up; yea, upon all the houses of joy of the gladsome town.
Ty på mins folks åker skall växa törn och tistel; ja, ock öfver all glädjehus uti den glada staden.
14 Because the palace is abandoned, the tumult of the city is forsaken; the hill and watch-tower are become dens for a long time, a joyous haunt for wild asses, a pasture for flocks.
Ty palatsen skola öfvergifven varda, och det stora mantalet i stadenom skall förminskas, så att torn och fäste skola blifva till eviga kulor, och vilddjurom till glädje, hjordom till bet;
15 Until a spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be changed into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be accounted as a forest.
Tilldess att öfver oss utgjuten varder Anden af höjdene. Så skall då öknen varda till en åkermark, och åkermarken skall för en skog räknad blifva;
16 Then shall justice dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field.
Och rätten skall bo i öknene, och rättfärdigheten blifva på åkermarkene;
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and security for ever.
Och rättfärdighetenes frukt skall vara frid, och rättfärdighetenes nytta skall vara evig stillhet och säkerhet;
18 And then shall my people abide in peaceful dwellings, and secure abodes, and in undisturbed resting-places.
Så att mitt folk skall bo uti fridshusom, uti trygga boningar, och i skön rolighet.
19 And it shall spread itself out in the declivity of the forest; and far down in the lowlands shall the city descend.
Men hagel skall vara nedre i skogenom, och staden skall ligga lågt nedre.
20 Happy are ye that sow beside all waters, freely sending forth the feet of the ox and the ass.
Väl eder, som sån allestäds vid vattnet; ty der mågen I låta oxars och åsnars fötter gå uppå.
