Isaiah 32
1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
HE aquí que en justicia reinará un rey, y príncipes presidirán en juicio.
2 And every one shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivulets of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a large rock in a languishing land.
Y será aquel varón como escondedero contra el viento, y como acogida contra el turbión; como arroyos de aguas en tierra de sequedad, como sombra de gran peñasco en tierra calurosa.
3 And the eyes of those that see shall not be blinded again, and the ears of those that hear shall hearken.
No se ofuscarán entonces los ojos de los que ven, y los oídos de los oyentes oirán atentos.
4 The heart also of the rash shall be attentive in order to know, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
Y el corazón de los necios entenderá para saber, y la lengua de los tartamudos será desenvuelta para hablar claramente.
5 The worthless person shall be no more called liberal, and the avaricious man shall not be said to be bountiful.
El mezquino nunca más será llamado liberal, ni será dicho generoso el avariento.
6 For the worthless person ever speaketh villany, and his heart will work injustice, to practise hypocrisy, and to speak error against the Lord, to leave empty the soul of the hungry, and the drink of the thirsty will he take away.
Porque el mezquino hablará mezquindades, y su corazón fabricará iniquidad, para hacer la impiedad y para hablar escarnio contra Jehová, dejando vacía el alma hambrienta, y quitando la bebida al sediento.
7 The instruments also of the avaricious man are evil: he deviseth wicked resolves to destroy the poor with words of falsehood, even when the needy speaketh what is right.
Cierto los avaros malas medidas [tienen]: él maquina pensamientos para enredar á los simples con palabras cautelosas, y para hablar en juicio [contra] el pobre.
8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and he ever persisteth by liberal things.
Mas el liberal pensará liberalidades, y por liberalidades subirá.
9 Ye careless women rise up, hear my voice; ye daughters that are secure, give ear unto my speech.
Mujeres reposadas, levantaos, oid mi voz; confiadas, escuchad mi razón.
10 After days and years shall ye shudder, ye women that are secure; for ended is the vintage, the fruit gathering shall nowise come.
Días y años tendréis espanto, oh confiadas; porque la vendimia faltará, y la cosecha no acudirá.
11 Tremble, ye careless women; shudder, ye that are secure, strip off your garments and make yourselves bare, and gird [sackcloth] upon the loins.
Temblad, oh reposadas; turbaos, oh confiadas: despojaos, desnudaos, ceñid los lomos [con saco].
12 [They shall strike] on the breast, lamenting, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
Sobre los pechos lamentarán por los campos deleitosos, por la vid fértil.
13 Upon the soil of my people thorns and briers shall come up; yea, upon all the houses of joy of the gladsome town.
Sobre la tierra de mi pueblo subirán espinas y cardos; y aun sobre todas las casas de placer en la ciudad de alegría.
14 Because the palace is abandoned, the tumult of the city is forsaken; the hill and watch-tower are become dens for a long time, a joyous haunt for wild asses, a pasture for flocks.
Porque los palacios serán desiertos, la multitud de la ciudad cesará: las torres y fortalezas se tornarán cuevas para siempre, donde huelguen asnos monteses, y ganados hagan majada:
15 Until a spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be changed into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be accounted as a forest.
Hasta que sobre nosotros sea derramado espíritu de lo alto, y el desierto se torne en campo labrado, y el campo labrado sea estimado por bosque.
16 Then shall justice dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field.
Y habitará el juicio en el desierto, y en el campo labrado asentará la justicia.
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and security for ever.
Y el efecto de la justicia será paz; y la labor de justicia, reposo y seguridad para siempre.
18 And then shall my people abide in peaceful dwellings, and secure abodes, and in undisturbed resting-places.
Y mi pueblo habitará en morada de paz, y en habitaciones seguras, y en recreos de reposo.
19 And it shall spread itself out in the declivity of the forest; and far down in the lowlands shall the city descend.
Y el granizo, cuando descendiere, [será] en los montes; y la ciudad será del todo abatida.
20 Happy are ye that sow beside all waters, freely sending forth the feet of the ox and the ass.
Dichosos vosotros los que sembráis sobre todas aguas, y metéis [en ellas] el pie de buey y de asno.
