Isaiah 26
1 On that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: A strong city have we; his aid will he grant [us] as walls and defence.
౧ఆ రోజున యూదా దేశంలో ఈ పాట పాడతారు. “మనకి ఒక బలమైన పట్టణం ఉంది. దేవుడు రక్షణను దాని గోడలుగానూ ప్రాకారాలుగానూ చేశాడు.
2 Open ye the gates, that there may enter in the righteous nation which guardeth the truth.
౨నీతిని పాటించే నమ్మకమైన జనం దానిలో ప్రవేశించేలా దాని తలుపులు తెరవండి.
3 The confiding mind wilt thou keep in perfect peace; because he trusteth in thee.
౩తన మనస్సును నీపై లగ్నం చేసిన వాడికి పూర్ణమైన శాంతిని అనుగ్రహిస్తావు. నీపై నమ్మకముంచాడు కాబట్టి నువ్వలా చేస్తావు.
4 Trust ye in the Lord unto eternity; for in Yah the Lord is everlasting protection.
౪నిత్యమూ యెహోవాపై నమ్మకముంచండి. ఎందుకంటే యెహోవా తానే శాశ్వతమైన ఆధారశిల!
5 For he bendeth down the dwellers of the height; the lofty fortress—he layeth it low; he layeth it low, along the ground; he casteth it down to the dust.
౫అలాగే ఆయన ఉన్నత స్థల నివాసులను, గర్వించే వాళ్ళనూ కిందకు లాగి పడవేస్తాడు. ఎత్తయిన ప్రాకారాలు గల పట్టణాన్ని కూలదోస్తాడు. ఆయన దాన్ని నేలమట్టం చేస్తాడు. దుమ్ముతో ధూళితో కలిపివేస్తాడు.
6 The foot shall tread it down, the feet of the poor, the steps of the needy.
౬పేదల, అవసరంలో ఉన్నవాళ్ళ కాళ్ళు దాన్ని తొక్కివేస్తాయి.
7 The path of the just is straight: thou, most upright, dost ever level the road of the just.
౭న్యాయవంతులు నడిచే దారి సమంగా ఉంటుంది. న్యాయ వంతుడా, నువ్వు న్యాయవంతులు దారిని తిన్నగా చేస్తావు.
8 Yea, on the path of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; for thy name, and for the remembrance of thee, was the longing of our soul.
౮న్యాయమైన నీ తీర్పుల బాటలో మేం నీ కోసం వేచి ఉన్నాము. నీ పేరు, నీ జ్ఞాపకాలే మా ప్రాణాలు కోరుకుంటున్నాయి.
9 In my soul have I longed for thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek for thee; for when thy judgments are [sent] on the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
౯రాత్రివేళ నా ప్రాణం నిన్ను ఆశిస్తుంది. నాలోని ఆత్మలో చిత్తశుద్ధితో నిన్ను వెతుకుతూ ఉన్నాను. నీ తీర్పులు భూమిపై తెలిసినప్పుడు ఈ లోక నివాసులు నీతిని అభ్యాసం చేస్తారు.
10 If favor be shown to the wicked, he will not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not regard the majesty of the Lord.
౧౦దుర్మార్గుడికి నువ్వు దయ చూపినా వాడు మాత్రం నీ నీతిని నేర్చుకోడు. న్యాయబద్ధంగా జీవించే వారి మధ్యలో నివసించినా వాడు దుర్మార్గాన్నే అవలంబిస్తాడు. యెహోవా ఘనతా ప్రభావాలను వాడు పట్టించుకోడు.
11 Lord, thy hand was raised high, but they would not see: oh that they might see, and be ashamed, [thy] zeal for the people; yea, the fire which shall devour them—thy enemies.
౧౧యెహోవా, నువ్వు నీ చేతిని ఎత్తావు. కానీ వాళ్ళది గమనించలేదు. కానీ వాళ్ళు ప్రజల కొరకైన నీ ఆసక్తిని చూస్తారు. అప్పుడు వాళ్లకి అవమానం కలుగుతుంది. ఎందుకంటే నీ శత్రువుల కోసం మండే అగ్ని వాళ్ళని దహించి వేస్తుంది.
12 Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for also all our works hast thou accomplished for us.
౧౨యెహోవా, నువ్వు మాకు శాంతిని నెలకొల్పుతావు. నిజంగా మా కార్యాలన్నిటినీ నువ్వే మాకు సాధించిపెట్టావు.
13 O Lord our God, lords have had dominion over us beside thee; [but] of thee only would we make mention, —of thy name.
౧౩మా దేవుడివైన యెహోవా, నువ్వు కాకుండా ఇతర ప్రభువులు మాపై రాజ్యం చేశారు గానీ మేం నీ నామాన్ని మాత్రమే కీర్తిస్తాం.
14 [They are] dead, they will not live [again]; [they are] departed, they will not rise [again]; therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made to perish every memorial of them.
౧౪వాళ్ళు చనిపోయారు. వాళ్ళిక మళ్ళీ బతకరు. వాళ్ళు మరణమయ్యారు. వాళ్ళిక తిరిగి లేవరు. నువ్వు తీర్పు తీర్చడానికి వచ్చి వాళ్ళని నిజంగా అంతం చేశావు. వాళ్ళ జ్ఞాపకాలన్నిటినీ తుడిచి పెట్టేశావు.
15 Thou hast done more for the nation, O Lord, thou hast done more for the nation; thou hast glorified thyself: thou hast enlarged all the ends of the earth.
౧౫యెహోవా, నువ్వు జనాన్ని వృద్ధి చేశావు. నువ్వే గౌరవం పొందావు. దేశం సరిహద్దులను విశాలపరచావు.
16 Lord, in trouble have they sought thee, they poured out earnest prayers when thy chastening was upon them.
౧౬యెహోవా, కష్టాల్లో ఉన్నప్పుడు వారు నీ వైపు చూశారు. నువ్వు వాళ్లకి శిక్ష విధించినప్పుడు కీడుకువ్యతిరేకంగా నీకు ప్రార్థనలు వల్లించారు.
17 Like as a pregnant woman, that is near giving birth, is in pain, [and] crieth out in her pangs: so have we been in thy presence, O Lord.
౧౭బిడ్డని కనే సమయం దగ్గర పడినప్పుడు గర్భవతి వేదనతో కేకలు పెట్టినట్టుగానే ప్రభూ, మేం కూడా నీ సన్నిధిలో వేదన పడ్డాం.
18 We have been pregnant and in pain, [but it was] as though we brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the land; and the inhabitants of the world have not fallen.
౧౮మేం గర్భంతో ఉన్నాం. నొప్పులు కూడా అనుభవించాం. కానీ మా పరిస్టితి గాలికి జన్మనిచ్చినట్టు ఉంది. భూమికి రక్షణ తేలేక పోయాం. లోకంలో జనాలు పుట్టలేదు.
19 Thy dead shall live, my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing ye, that dwell in the dust; for a dew on herbs is thy dew, and the earth shall cast out the departed.
౧౯మరణమైన నీ వారు బతుకుతారు. మా వారి మృత దేహాలు తిరిగి సజీవంగా లేస్తాయి. మట్టిలో పడి ఉన్న వారు మేల్కొని ఆనందంగా పాడండి! ఉదయంలో కురిసే మంచులా నీ కాంతి ప్రకాశమానమై కురిసినప్పుడు భూమి తాను ఎరగా పట్టుకున్న తనలోని విగత జీవులను సజీవంగా అప్పగిస్తుంది.
20 Go, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy door behind thee: hide thyself but for a little moment, until the indignation be passed away.
౨౦నా ప్రజలారా, వెళ్ళండి! మీ గదుల్లో ప్రవేశించండి. తలుపులు మూసుకోండి. మహా కోపం తగ్గే వరకూ దాగి ఉండండి. ఇదిగో వారి దోషాన్ని బట్టి భూనివాసులను శిక్షించడానికి యెహోవా తన నివాసంలోనుండి బయలు దేరుతున్నాడు. భూమి తన మీద హతులైన వారిని ఇకపై కప్పకుండా తాను తాగిన రక్తాన్ని బయట పెడుతుంది.
21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to visit the iniquity of the inhabitants of the earth on them: and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more be a cover over her slain.
౨౧ఎందుకంటే చూడండి! యెహోవా తన నివాసం నుండి రాబోతున్నాడు. భూమిపైన ప్రజలు చేసిన అపరాధాలకై వాళ్ళని శిక్షించడానికి వస్తున్నాడు. భూమి తనపై జరిగిన రక్తపాతాన్ని బహిర్గతం చేస్తుంది. వధకు గురైన వాళ్ళని ఇక దాచి పెట్టదు.”
