Isaiah 22
1 The doom of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the roofs?
Brzemię doliny widzenia. Cóż ci się stało, żeś wszystka na dachy wystąpiła?
2 O noiseful, tumultuous city, joyous town? thy slain ones are not slain with the sword, and not those that die in battle.
Miasto pełne wrzasku, i zgiełku, miasto weselące się! Pobici twoi nie są pobici mieczem, ani zginęli w bitwie.
3 All thy rulers are fled together, they are made prisoners by the bowmen: all that are found in thee are made prisoners together, who have run away from afar.
Wszyscy książęta twoi naporząd się rozpierzchnęli, od strzelców powiązani są wespół, i ci, którzy z daleka uciekają.
4 Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly; be not urgent to comfort me, because of the wasting of the daughter of my people.
Dlategom rzekł: Odstąpcie odemnie, abym gorzko płakał; nie kwapcie się, cieszyć mię w spustoszeniu córki ludu mojego.
5 For a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity hath the Lord Eternal of hosts in the valley of vision; walls are broken, and crying is heard against the mountain.
Albowiem to jest dzień ucisku i podeptania, i zamięszania od Pana, Pana zastępów, w dolinie widzenia, dzień burzenia murów, i wołania na góry.
6 And 'Elam beareth the quiver, [cometh] with men in chariots and horsemen, and Kir uncovereth the shield.
Elam też wziął sajdak z wozami ludu wojennego, a Kir okazał tarczę swoję.
7 And it is so, that thy choicest valleys are full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array against the gate.
I stało się, że wyborne doliny twoje napełnione były wozami, a jezdni się potężnie zaszańcowali u bramy.
8 And he laid open the covering of Judah; and thou didst look on that day toward the armor of the house of the forest.
I odkryta była zasłona Judowa; a poglądałeś dnia onego na zbrojownię w domu lasu.
9 And the breaches of the city of David have ye seen, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
I poglądaliście na rozwaliny miasta Dawidowego, bo ich wiele było; i zgromadziły się wody sadzawki dolnej.
10 And the houses of Jerusalem have ye numbered, and ye have pulled down the houses to fortify the wall.
Także policzyliście domy w Jeruzalemie, a rozwaliliście domy na oprawę murów.
11 And a tank have ye made between the two walls for the water of the old pool; but ye have not looked at the Maker thereof, him that fashioned it in distant times have ye not regarded.
Uczyniliście też przekop między dwoma murami, dla wód stawu starego, a nie oglądaliście się na tego, co go sprawił, a tego, który go zdawna zbudował, nie widzieliście.
12 And the Lord Eternal of hosts called on that day for weeping, and for mourning, and for baldness, and for girding with sackcloth.
Nadto, gdy wołał Pan, Pan zastępów, dnia onego do płaczu i do narzekania, i do obłysienia się, i do przepasania się worem;
13 And behold [there are] gladness and joy, slaying of oxen, and killing of sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we must die.”
A oto radość i wesele wasze, zabijać woły, i bić owce, a jedząc mięso, i pijąc wino, mówić: Jedzmy, pijmy, bo jutro pomrzemy.
14 And it was revealed in my ears by the Lord of hosts: Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven unto you until ye die, said the Lord the Eternal of hosts.
Aleć to doszło uszów moich, mówi Pan zastępów. Przetoż wam ta nieprawość nie będzie odpuszczona; aż pomrzecie, mówi Pan, Pan zastępów.
15 Thus hath said the Lord, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, who is [superintendent] over the house;
Tak mówi Pan, Pan zastępów: Idź, wnijdź do tego podskarbiego, do Sobny, który jest przełożonym w domu, i rzecz:
16 What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewn out for thyself here a sepulchre, [the man] that hath hewn out on high his sepulchre, that holloweth out in the rock a habitation for himself?
Co ty tu masz? albo kogo tu masz, żeś tu sobie wykował grób? Wykowałeś sobie na wysokiem miejscu grób swój, a wystawiłeś na skale przybytek swój?
17 Behold, the Lord will thrust thee about with a mighty throw, O man! and will lay fast hold of thee;
Oto Pan, który cię przykrył jako zacnego męża, a który cię kosztownie przyodział,
18 He will roll thee up as a bundle, and [toss thee] like a ball into a country of ample space: there shalt thou die, and there shall [remain] the chariots of thy glory, thou disgrace of the house of thy lord.
Prędko cię zatoczy jako kulę do ziemi szerokiej i przestronnej; tam umrzesz, tam i wozy sławy twojej zginą, o hańbo domu Pana swego!
19 And I will cast thee out from thy station, and from thy post shall he pull thee down.
A tak wypędzę cię z stanowiska twego, a z urzędu twego złożę cię.
20 And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will call my servant, for Elyakim the son of Chilkiyahu.
A dnia onego przyzwię sługę swego Elijakima, syna Helkijaszowego;
21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and thy girdle will I fasten around him, and thy government will I place into his hand: and he shall be as a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
I oblekę go w szatę twoję, i pasem twoim potwierdzę go, panowanie też twoje dam w rękę jego; i będzie za ojca obywatelom Jeruzalemskim, i domowi Judzkiemu.
22 And I will lay the key of the house of David upon his shoulder; so that he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
I położę klucz domu Dawidowego na ramieniu jego; gdy otworzy, nikt nie zawrze, a gdy zawrze, nikt nie otworzy.
23 And I will fasten him as a tent-nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a chair of honor to his father's house.
I wbiję go jako gwóźdź na miejscu pewnem, a będzie stolicą chwały domu ojca swego.
24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the shoots and offshoots, all the small vessels, from the vessels of basins, even to all the vessels of flagons.
A zawiśnie na nim wszystka sława domu ojca jego, synowie i córki, i wszystko naczynie by najmniejsze, od naczynia, z którego piją, aż do każdego naczynia winnego.
25 On that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall be removed the nail that is fastened in the sure place, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that is upon it shall be cut off; for the Lord hath spoken it.
Dnia onego, mówi Pan zastępów, będzie wyjęty gwóźdź, który był wbity na miejscu pewnem, a będzie przycięty i upadnie; odcięte będzie i brzemię, które jest na nim; bo Pan mówił.
