< Isaiah 21 >
1 The doom of the desert by the sea. As tempests in the south blow with fury; so doth it come from the desert, from a terrible land.
Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ Werũ ũrĩa ũrĩ Hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Iria: Atĩrĩrĩ, o ta ũrĩa ihuhũkanio iria nene ihurutanaga ituĩkanĩirie bũrũri wa gũthini, ũguo noguo mũtharĩkĩri agooka oimĩte werũ-inĩ, kuuma bũrũri wa kũguoyohania.
2 A hard vision hath been told unto me; the traitor dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. “Go up, O 'Elam; besiege, O Media;” all sighing have I caused to cease.
Niĩ nĩnyonetio kĩoneki gĩa kũmakania mũno: Mũkunyanĩri no arakunyanĩra, nake mũtahani no aratahana. Wee Elamu tharĩkĩra! Nawe Media, thiũrũrũkĩria! Gũcaaya kũrĩa anagũcaaithia nĩngagũkinyia mũthia.
3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain; pangs have seized me, like the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I am too much cramped to hear; I am too much dismayed to see.
Nĩ ũndũ wa ũguo mwĩrĩ wakwa nĩũiyũrĩtwo nĩ ruo, ruo rũnene nĩrũũnyiitĩte, o ta ruo rwa mũtumia akĩrũmwo; ngagĩtururio nĩ maũndũ marĩa ndĩraigua, na ngagegeario nĩ maũndũ marĩa ndĩrona.
4 My heart wandereth astray, dread affrighteth me: the evening of my pleasure hath he turned unto me into terror.
Ngoro yakwa nĩĩratumatuuma, na ngainaina nĩ guoya; hwaĩ-inĩ ũrĩa ndĩriragĩria ũtuĩkĩte ũndũ wa kũũmakia mũno.
5 Prepare the table, put on the candlesticks, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
Nao nĩmaarĩte metha, na makaara mĩgeka, nĩguo marĩe na manyue! Ũkĩrai inyuĩ anene, mũhake ngo maguta!
6 For thus hath said unto me the Lord, Go, set the watchman, what he seeth let him tell.
Jehova anjĩĩrĩte atĩrĩ: “Thiĩ, ũige mũrangĩri wa gũcũthĩrĩria na ũmwĩre amenyithanie ũrĩa aroona.
7 And he will see chariots, horsemen in couples, riders on asses, riders on camels; and he shall listen diligently with much heed:
Rĩrĩa angĩona ngaari cia ita irĩ na mbarathi ihaanaine, na andũ magĩũka mahaicĩte ndigiri kana ngamĩĩra-rĩ, nĩaikare eiguĩte, akeigua biũ.”
8 And he calleth [like] a lion, Upon the watchtower, O Lord, do I stand continually in the daytime, and on my ward am I set all the nights.
Nake mũrangĩri akĩanĩrĩra, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Mũthenya o mũthenya, mwathi wakwa, ndũgamaga gĩtara-inĩ kĩa mũrangĩri; na ũtukũ o ũtukũ njikaraga handũ hakwa ha kũrangĩra.
9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot with men, horsemen in couples, and he commenceth and saith, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods hath he shivered unto the ground.
10 O my down-trodden [people, ] and the son of my threshingfloor: that which I have heard from the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have I told unto you.
Inyuĩ andũ akwa, o inyuĩ mũthuthĩirwo kĩhuhĩro-inĩ kĩa ngano-rĩ, ngũmwĩra ũrĩa njiguĩte kuuma kũrĩ Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, kuuma kũrĩ Ngai wa Isiraeli.
11 The doom of Dumah. Unto me one calleth out of Se'ir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
Ĩno nĩ ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ Duma: Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩ harĩ mũndũ ũraanjĩta kuuma Seiru, akanjũũria atĩrĩ, “Mũrangĩri, ũtukũ ũkinyĩte ha? Mũrangĩri ũyũ, ũtukũ ũkinyĩte ha?”
12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will desire, desire ye; return, come again.
Nake mũrangĩri akamũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Gũkiriĩ gũkĩa, no rĩrĩ, nĩgũgũcooka gũtuke. Angĩkorwo kũrĩ ũndũ ũkũũria-rĩ, ũria; ũcooke ũũke hĩndĩ ĩngĩ.”
13 The doom upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanim.
Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ bũrũri wa Arabia: Inyuĩ ikundi cia agendi a Adedani, o inyuĩ mwambĩte hema ithaka-inĩ cia Arabia-rĩ,
14 Toward him that is thirsty they bring water; the inhabitants of the land of Thema meet with suitable bread the fugitive.
twarĩrai andũ arĩa anyootu maaĩ; na inyuĩ mũtũũraga bũrũri wa Tema, tũngiai andũ acio maroora irio
15 Because from the swords are they fled, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the pressure of war.
Nĩgũkorwo maroorĩra rũhiũ rwa njora, o rũhiũ rwa njora rũrĩa rũcomoretwo, makoorĩra ũta mũgeete, na makoima kũrĩa mbaara ĩĩhĩire.
16 For thus hath said the Lord unto me, Within yet one year, like the years of a hired laborer, shall all the glory of Kedar be at an end:
Mwathani aranjĩĩra atĩrĩ: “Mwaka ũmwe ũtanathira, ũtarĩtwo ta ũrĩa mĩaka ya mũndũ wa kwandĩkwo wĩra ĩrĩkanagĩrwo-rĩ, riiri wothe wa Kedari nĩũgaathira.
17 And the residue of the number of bows of the mighty men of the children of Kedar shall be small; for the Lord the God of Israel hath spoken it.
Andũ arĩa magaatigario nĩ thigari iria ciikagia mĩguĩ, o acio njamba cia ita cia Kedari-rĩ, magaakorwo marĩ o anini.” Jehova Ngai wa Isiraeli nĩwe warĩtie ũhoro ũcio.
