Isaiah 15
1 The doom of Moab. Truly in a night is 'Ar of Moab plundered, it is laid waste; truly in a night is Kir of Moab plundered, it is laid waste.
Η κατά Μωάβ όρασις. Επειδή η Αρ Μωάβ επορθήθη την νύκτα και ηφανίσθη· επειδή η Κιρ Μωάβ επορθήθη την νύχτα και ηφανίσθη·
2 It goeth up to the [idol-]house, and Dibon [goeth] up to the high-places to weep, on Nebo and on Medeba shall Moab wail: on all its heads there is baldness, and every beard is hewn off.
ανέβη εις τον οίκον και εις Δαιβών, τους υψηλούς τόπους, διά να κλαύση· ο Μωάβ θέλει ολολύξει διά την Νεβώ, και διά την Μεδεβά· πάσαι αι κεφαλαί θέλουσι φαλακρωθή, παν γένειον θέλει ξυρισθή.
3 In its streets they are girded with sack-cloth, on its roofs, and in its public places every one shall wail, groan with weeping.
Εν ταις οδοίς αυτών θέλουσιν είσθαι περιεζωσμένοι σάκκους· επί των δωμάτων αυτών και εν ταις πλατείαις αυτών πάντες θέλουσιν ολολύξει μετά κλαυθμού μεγάλου.
4 And loud crieth Cheshbon with El'aleh; as far as Yahaz is heard their voice: therefore the armed men of Moab shall howl; its soul is grieved for itself.
Και η Εσεβών θέλει βοά, και η Ελεαλή· η βοή αυτών θέλει ακουσθή έως Ιασσά· διά τούτο οι οπλοφόροι άνδρες του Μωάβ θέλουσιν ολολύξει· η ψυχή αυτών θέλει ολολύξει δι' αυτούς.
5 My heart will cry for Moab, whose fugitives are as far as Zo'ar, [and] the third 'Eglarth; for the ascent of Luchith—with weeping is it ascended; for on the way to Choronayim they let resound the cry of defeat [in battle].
Η καρδία μου θέλει αναβοήσει διά τον Μωάβ· οι φυγάδες αυτού θέλουσι τρέξει έως Σηγώρ ως τριετής δάμαλις· διότι κλαίοντες θέλουσιν αναβή διά της αναβάσεως της Λουείθ· διότι εν τη οδώ της Οροναΐμ θέλουσιν υψώσει φωνήν εξολοθρευμού·
6 For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate; for dry is the grass, gone are the herbs, and green things are no more.
διότι τα ύδατα της Νιμρείμ θέλουσιν εκλείψει· διότι ο χόρτος εξηράνθη, η χλόη εξέλιπε, δεν υπάρχει ουδέν χλωρόν·
7 Therefore the rest of their acquisitions and what they possess shall they carry away over the brook of the willows.
διά τούτο η αφθονία, την οποίαν συνήξαν, και εκείνο το οποίον απεταμίευσαν, θέλει φερθή εις την κοιλάδα των ιτεών.
8 For the cry hath encompassed the boundary of Moab; up to Eglayim [is heard] its wail, and at Beer-elim [is heard] its wail.
Διότι η φωνή έφθασε κύκλω εις τα όρια του Μωάβ· ο ολολυγμός αυτής έως Εγλαΐμ, και ο ολολυγμός αυτής εις Βηρ-αιλείμ.
9 For the waters of Dimon are filled with blood; for I will bring over Dimon armed bands; over the escaped of Moab [cometh] a lion, and over the remnant of the land.
Διότι τα ύδατα της Δειμών θέλουσι γεμισθή αίματος· διότι θέλω επιφέρει έτι δεινά επί Δειμών, λέοντας επί τον διασωθέντα εκ του Μωάβ και επί τα υπόλοιπα του τόπου.
