Isaiah 1
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of 'Uzziyahu, Jotham, Achaz, and Hezekiah, the kings of Judah.
Ang Panan-awon ni Isaias nga anak nga lalaki ni Amoz, nga nakita niya mahitungod sa Juda ug sa Jerusalem, sa mga adlaw ni Uzia, Jotam, Ahaz, ug Hezekia nga mga hari sa Juda.
2 Hear, O ye heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord hath spoken: Children have I nourished and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.
Dungga kalangitan, ug paminaw kalibotan; kay nagsulti si Yahweh: “giatiman ko ug gipadako ang mga katawhan, apan misupak sila batok kanako.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
Nakaila ang baka sa tag-iya niini, ug ang asno sa pasungan sa iyang agalon, apan wala makaila ang Israel, ug wala makasabot ang Israel.”
4 Woe! sinful nation, people laden with iniquity, seed of evil-doers, children that are corrupt: they have forsaken the Lord, they have incensed the Holy One of Israel, they are departed backward.
Alaot ang nasod nga makasasala! Ang katawhan nga napuno sa pagkadaotan, kaliwat sa mga nagabuhat ug daotan, mga anak nga nagabuhat ug mahugaw! Gisalikway nila si Yahweh, gitamay nila ang Usa ka Balaan sa Israel, mibiya sila gikan kaniya.
5 Why will ye be stricken yet more? [that] ye increase the revolt? every head is sick, and every heart is faint.
Nganong gibunalan pa man gihapon kamo? Nganong hilabihan man kamo kamasinupakon? Nagmasakiton ang tibuok ulo, naluya ang tibuok kasingkasing.
6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, nor bound up, nor mollified with oil.
Gikan sa lapalapa hangtod sa ulo walay bahin niini nga maayo; apan mga samad lamang, ug mga pangos, ug bag-ong mga samad; nga wala pa naulian, nahinloan, nabugkosan, ni gipahiran ug lana.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burnt with fire; your soil—in your presence, strangers devour it, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Nagun-ob ang inyong nasod ug nasunog ang inyong mga siyudad; gun-obon sa mga langyaw diha sa inyong atubangan—ang inyong kaumahan, —biniyaang guba gibuntog sa mga langyaw.
8 And left is the daughter of Zion as a hut in a vineyard, as a lodge in a cucumber field, as a besieged city.
Mahibilin ang anak nga babaye sa Zion sama sa usa ka payag nga anaa sa parasan, sama sa usa ka silonganan nga anaa sa pipinohan, sama sa usa ka siyudad nga gipalibotan sa kaaway.
9 Unless the Lord of hosts had left unto us a remnant ever so small, like Sodom should we have been, unto Gomorrah should we have been compared.
Kung wala nagbilin si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom ug gamay nga kaliwat alang kanato, mahisama kita sa Sodoma ug Gomora.
10 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom: give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
Dungga ang pulong ni Yahweh, kamong mga pangulo sa Sodoma; paminaw sa balaod sa atong Dios, kamong katawhan sa Gomora:
11 For what serveth me the multitude of your sacrifices? saith the Lord: I am sated with the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fatted beasts; and the blood of bullocks, and of sheep, and of he-goats, I do not desire.
Miingon si Yahweh “Unsa man ang gidaghanon sa inyong halad nganhi kanako?” “Nakabaton ako ug igong halad nga sinunog nga mga karnero ug gipatambok nga mga mananap; ug dugo sa mga baka, mga nating karnero, o mga kanding nga wala ko gikahimut-an.
12 When ye come to appear in my presence—who hath required this at your hand, to tread down my courts?
Sa dihang moabot kamo aron sa pagpakita sa akong atubangan, kinsa man ang nagsugo niini kaninyo, aron sa pagtunob sa akong mga hawanan?
13 Continue no more to bring an oblation of deceit; incense of abomination is it unto me: new moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies—I cannot bear misdeed with festive gathering.
Ayaw na pagdala ug mga walay pulos nga halad; usa ka dulomtanan ang insenso alang kanako; ang inyong bag-ong bulan ug ang mga panagtigom sa Adlawng igpapahulay—dili ko maantos kining daotan kaayo nga mga panagtigom.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are become a burden unto me; I am weary to bear them,
Gikasilagan ko ang inyong bag-ong mga bulan ug ang inyong pinili nga mga kasaulogan; kabug-aton kini alang kanako; gikapoy ako sa pag-antos kanila.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will withdraw my eyes from you; yea, when ye make ever so many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
Busa sa dihang ibayaw ninyo ang inyong mga kamot sa pag-ampo, itago ko ang akong mga mata gikan kaninyo; bisan pa ug mag-ampo kamo sa makadaghan, dili ako maminaw; nabulit sa dugo ang inyong mga kamot.
16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil;
Hugasi, hinloi ang inyong kaugalingon, biyai ang daotan ninyong mga binuhatan gikan sa akong panan-aw; hunonga ang pagkadaotan;
17 Learn to do well; seek for justice, relieve the oppressed, do justice to the fatherless, plead for the widow.
pagtuon sa pagbuhat ug maayo; pangita ug kaangayan, tul-ira ang pagdaugdaog, hatagi ug kaangayan ang mga ilo, ug labani ang balo.”
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins should be as scarlet, they shall become white as the snow; though they should be red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
Dali karon, ug maghusay kita,” miingon si Yahweh; “bisan pa ug pula ang inyong mga sala, maputi kini sama sa niebe; bisan pa ug sama sa dagtom pula ang inyong mga sala, maputi kini sama sa balahibo sa karnero.
19 If ye be willing and obey, the best of the land shall ye eat;
Kung magmasinugtanon ug magmatinuman kamo, makakaon kamo sa abot sa yuta,
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, by the sword shall ye be devoured; for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
apan kung modumili ug mosupak kamo, laglagon kamo sa espada,” kay gisulti kini sa baba ni Yahweh.
21 How is she become a harlot, the faithful town! she, that was full of justice; righteousness lodged therein; but now murderers.
Giunsa pagkahimong nagbaligya ug dungog sa matinud-anong siyudad! Puno siya sa hustisya—puno siya sa pagkamatarong, apan karon puno siya sa mga mamumuno.
22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine is drugged with water;
Dili lunsay ang imong plata, sinagolan ug tubig ang imong bino.
23 Thy princes are rebels, and companions of thieves; every one loveth brides, and runneth after rewards; to the fatherless they will not do justice, and the cause of the widow doth not come unto them.
Nagmasinupakon ang imong mga prinsipe ug kauban sa mga kawatan; nahigugma ang tanan sa suhol ug nagtinguha sa bayad. Wala nila dapigi ang mga ilo, ni ang mga sumbong sa mga balo nga miabot sa ilang atubangan.
24 Therefore saith the Lord, the Eternal of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will take satisfaction on my adversaries, and be avenged on my enemies.
Busa mao kini ang gipahayag sa Ginoo nga si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, ang Usa ka Gamhanan sa Israel: “Alaot sila! Panimaslan ko ang mga nakigbatok kanako, ug panimaslan ko mismo ang akong mga kaaway;
25 And I will turn my hand against thee, and purge away as with lye thy dross, and remove all thy tin:
ipaatubang ko batok kanimo ang akong kamot, pagahinloan ko ang imong taya, ug mawala kining tanan.
26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning; after that shalt thou be called, The city of righteousness, the town that is faithful.
Ipahibalik ko ang imong mga maghuhukom sama sa una, ug ang imong mga magtatambag sama sa sinugdan; human niana pagatawagon ka nga siyudad sa pagkamatarong, usa ka matinud-anon nga lungsod.”
27 Zion shall be redeemed through justice, and her converts through righteousness.
Lukaton ang Zion pinaagi sa hustisya, ug ang iyang paghinulsol pinaagi sa pagkamatarong.
28 But destruction shall come over transgressors and sinners together, and those that forsake the Lord shall perish.
Malaglag ang mga masinupakon ug ang mga makasasala, ug kadtong mibiya kang Yahweh makahiagom sa ingon.
29 For people shall be ashamed because of the terebinths which ye had desired, and ye shall be put to the blush because of the gardens that ye had chosen.
Kay maulawan kamo pinaagi sa sagradong mga kahoy nga akasya nga inyong gitinguha, ug maulawan kamo pinaagi sa mga tanaman nga inyong gipili.
30 For ye shall be as a terebinth the leaves of which wither, and as a garden that hath no water.
Kay mahisama kamo sa akasya nga malaya ang dahon, ug sama sa tanaman nga walay tubig.
31 And the mighty oppressor shall become as tow, and his workman as a spark; and they shall both burn together, with none to quench.
Mahisama sa sugnod ang kusgan nga tawo, ug sama sa siga ang iyang buhat; modilaab silang duha ug walay makapalong niini.”
