Hosea 12
1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and pursueth the east wind; the whole day he increaseth deceit and corruption; and a covenant do they make with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.
၁ဣသရေလပြည်သားတို့မိုးလင်းမှမိုးချုပ် အထိ ပြုလုပ်ကျင့်ကြံနေသမျှတို့သည် အကျိုးမရှိ၊ အချည်းနှီးသက်သက်ဖြစ်၏။ သူတို့တွင်သစ္စာဖောက်မှု၊ အကြမ်းဖက်မှု များတိုးပွားများပြားလျက်ရှိ၏။ သူတို့ သည်အာရှုရိပြည်နှင့်မဟာမိတ်ဖွဲ့လျက် ပင် အီဂျစ်ပြည်နှင့်ကုန်သွယ်ကြ၏'' ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
2 But with Judah also hath the Lord [to hold] a controversy; and to punish Jacob according to his ways, according to his doings will he recompense him.
၂ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ယုဒပြည်သားတို့ ကိုစွဲချက်တင်တော်မူ၏။ ဣသရေလကို လည်းသူတို့၏အကျင့်ကြောင့်ဒဏ်ခတ် တော်မူမည်။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်သူတို့၏အပြု အမူအတိုင်းအကျိုးအပြစ်ကိုဆပ်ပေး မည်။-
3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and in his strength he strove with an angel.
၃သူတို့၏ဘိုးဘေးဖြစ်သောယာကုပ်သည် အမိဝမ်းတွင်း၌ရှိစဉ်ကပင် အမြွှာအစ်ကို ဧသောနှင့်ရန်ဘက်ပြုခဲ့၏။ ယာကုပ်သည် ကြီးပြင်းလာသောအခါ ဘုရားသခင်ကို ဆန့်ကျင်၍ရန်ဘက်ပြုခဲ့၏။-
4 Yea, he strove with an angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: in Beth-el he should find him, and there he will speak with us.
၄သူသည်ကောင်းကင်တမန်နှင့်ရန်ဘက်ပြု ၍အနိုင်ယူခဲ့သည်။ သူသည်ငို၍ကောင်းချီး မင်္ဂလာကိုတောင်းခံ၏။ ဗေသလမြို့တွင် ဘုရားသခင်သည်ယာကုပ်ထံသို့ကြွ လာ၍ဗျာဒိတ်ပေးတော်မူ၏။-
5 And the Lord God of hosts, the Eternal One is his memorial.
၅ထိုဘုရားသည်အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ ကိုယ်တော်၏ဘွဲ့ နာမတော်ကားထာဝရဘုရားဖြစ် သတည်း။-
6 Therefore do thou return to thy God: keep goodness and justice, and wait on thy God continually.
၆ထို့ကြောင့်ယာကုပ်အနွယ်ဝင်တို့၊ သင်တို့ ၏ဘုရားသခင်ကိုယုံကြည်၍အထံ တော်သို့ပြန်ကြလော့၊ သစ္စာစောင့်လော့၊ ဖြောင့် မတ်စွာကျင့်လော့၊ သင်တို့၏ဘုရားသခင် ကိုစိတ်ရှည်စွာစောင့်စားလျက်နေကြလော့။
7 But like a merchant, who hath the balances of deceit in his hand, loving to overreach,
၇ထာဝရဘုရားက``ဣသရေလပြည်သား တို့သည်ခါနာန်အမျိုးသားတို့ကဲ့သို့ပင် မရိုးသားကြချေ။ သူတို့သည်မမှန်သော အလေးချိန်ခွင်ဖြင့်ဝယ်သူတို့အားရောင်း ချတတ်၏။-
8 Did Ephraim say, I am certainly become rich, I have acquired substance unto myself: it is all through my labors; they will find no iniquity in me, that could be sin.
၈သူတို့က`ငါတို့သည်ကြွယ်ဝချမ်းသာကြ၏။ ငွေကြေးအမြောက်အမြားစုဆောင်းမိပြီ။ မည်သူကမျှငါတို့အားမတရားရသော ငွေဖြင့်ကြွယ်ဝချမ်းသာသည်ဟုမစွပ်စွဲ နိုင်' ဟုဆိုကြ၏။-
9 And I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt: I will yet make thee dwell in tents, as in the days of antiquity.
၉သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့အားအီဂျစ်ပြည်မှထုတ် ဆောင်ခဲ့သော သင်တို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ငါ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သဲကန္တာရ၌သင် တို့တဲများနှင့်နေထိုင်သည်နည်းတူ ယခု တစ်ဖန်တဲများ၌နေထိုင်စေဦးမည်။
10 And I have spoken through the prophets, and I myself have multiplied visions, and by the means of the prophets have I spoken in similitudes.
၁၀``ငါသည်ပရောဖက်တို့အားဗျာဒိတ်ပေး ၍ ရူပါရုံများစွာကိုမြင်စေခဲ့ပြီ။ သူတို့ အားဖြင့်ငါ၏လူမျိုးတော်ကိုသတိပေး ခဲ့ပြီ။-
11 If in Gil'ad there was misfortune, [it is because] there was naught but idolatry; in Gilgal they sacrificed bullocks [to idols]: their altars also are as stone-heaps on the furrows of the fields.
၁၁သို့သော်လည်းသူတို့သည်ဂိလဒ်ပြည်တွင် ရုပ်တုများကိုကိုးကွယ်ကြ၏။ ထိုသို့ကိုး ကွယ်သူတို့သည်သေရမည်။ ဂိလဂါလ မြို့တွင်နွားများကိုယဇ်ပူဇော်ကြ၍ထို အရပ်၌ရှိသောယဇ်ပလ္လင်တို့သည်ကွင်း ပြင်များထဲတွင်ကျောက်ပုံများအဖြစ် ကျန်ရစ်လိမ့်မည်။''
12 And Jacob fled into the fields of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [the flocks].
၁၂ငါတို့၏ဘိုးဘေးဖြစ်သောယာကုပ်သည် အာရံပြည်သို့ထွက်ပြေး၍ မယားရရန် လူတစ်ဦးထံ၌သိုးကျောင်းရ၏။-
13 And by a prophet did the Lord bring Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he guarded.
၁၃ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ဣသရေလပြည် သားတို့အားကျွန်ခံရာအီဂျစ်ပြည်မှ ထုတ်ဆောင်ရန်နှင့်စောင့်ရှောက်ရန်ပရောဖက် တစ်ပါးကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူ၏။-
14 [Yet] Ephraim provoked [him] to anger most bitterly: therefore will his Lord cast his blood-guiltiness upon him, and his reproach will he recompense unto him.
၁၄ဣသရေလပြည်သားတို့သည်ထာဝရ ဘုရားအား ခါးသီးစွာအမျက်ဒေါသ ထွက်စေ၏။ သူတို့၏ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်များ ကြောင့်သေဒဏ်ခံသင့်ကြ၏။ သူတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ဘုန်းအသရေတော်ကို ရှုတ်ချသောကြောင့် ကိုယ်တော်သည်သူတို့ ကိုဒဏ်ခတ်တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။
