Genesis 5
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. On the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him:
૧આદમની વંશાવળીની વિગતો આ પ્રમાણે છે. ઈશ્વરે પોતાની પ્રતિમા પ્રમાણે માણસનું સર્જન કર્યું.
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, on the day when they were created.
૨પુરુષ તથા સ્ત્રીને તેમણે સર્જ્યા, તેઓને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો અને તેઓની ઉત્પત્તિના દિવસે તેઓનું નામ માનવજાત પાડવામાં આવ્યું.
3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his likeness, after his image; and called his name Sheth.
૩જયારે આદમ એકસો ત્રીસ વર્ષનો થયો, ત્યારે તેને તેની પ્રતિમા તથા સ્વરૂપ પ્રમાણે તેની પત્નીએ દીકરાને જન્મ આપ્યો. તેણે તેનું નામ શેથ પાડ્યું.
4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Sheth were eight hundred years; and he begat sons and daughters.
૪શેથના જન્મ પછી આદમ આઠસો વર્ષ જીવ્યો અને તે ઘણાં દીકરા અને દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
૫આદમ નવસો ત્રીસ વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
6 And Sheth lived a hundred and five years, and begat Enosh.
૬જયારે તેના પુત્ર અનોશનો જન્મ થયો ત્યારે શેથ એકસો પાંચ વર્ષનો થયો.
7 And Sheth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred and seven years; and he begat sons and daughters.
૭અનોશનો જન્મ થયા પછી, શેથ આઠસો સાત વર્ષ જીવ્યો, તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
8 And all the days of Sheth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
૮શેથ નવસો બાર વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
9 And Enosh lived ninety years, and begat Kenan.
૯જયારે તેના પુત્ર કેનાનનો જન્મ થયો ત્યારે અનોશ નેવું વર્ષનો હતો.
10 And Enosh lived after he had begotten Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years; and he begat sons and daughters.
૧૦કેનાનના જન્મ પછી અનોશ આઠસો પંદર વર્ષ જીવ્યો. તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
11 And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
૧૧અનોશ નવસો પાંચ વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
12 And Kenan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalalel.
૧૨જયારે તેના પુત્ર માહલાલેલનો જન્મ થયો ત્યારે કેનાન સિત્તેર વર્ષનો હતો.
13 And Kenan lived after he had begotten Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years; and he begat sons and daughters
૧૩માહલાલેલનો જન્મ થયા પછી કેનાન આઠસો ચાળીસ વર્ષ સુધી જીવ્યો. તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
14 And all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
૧૪કેનાન નવસો દસ વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
15 And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared.
૧૫જ્યારે તેના પુત્ર યારેદનો જન્મ થયો ત્યારે માહલાલેલ પાંસઠ વર્ષનો હતો.
16 And Mahalalel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred and thirty years; and he begat sons and daughters.
૧૬યારેદનો જન્મ થયા પછી માહલાલેલ આઠસો ત્રીસ વર્ષ જીવ્યો. તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
17 And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety and five years; and he died.
૧૭માહલાલેલ આઠસો પંચાણું વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
18 And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and begat Enoch.
૧૮જયારે તેના પુત્ર હનોખનો જન્મ થયો ત્યારે યારેદ એકસો બાસઠ વર્ષનો હતો.
19 And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years; and he begat sons and daughters.
૧૯હનોખનો જન્મ થયા પછી યારેદ આઠસો વર્ષ જીવ્યો. તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years; and he died.
૨૦યારેદ નવસો બાસઠ વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methushelah.
૨૧તેના પુત્ર મથૂશેલાહનો જન્મ થયો ત્યારે હનોખ પાંસઠ વર્ષનો હતો.
22 And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methushelah three hundred years; and begat sons and daughters.
૨૨મથૂશેલાહનો જન્મ થયાં પછી હનોખ ત્રણસો વર્ષ ઈશ્વરની સંઘાતે ચાલ્યો અને તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years.
૨૩હનોખનું પૃથ્વી પરનું આયુષ્ય ત્રણસો પાંસઠ વર્ષનું હતું.
24 And Enoch walked with God, and he was no more; for God had taken him.
૨૪હનોખ ઈશ્વરની સંઘાતે ચાલતો હતો. પછી તે અદ્રશ્ય થઈ ગયો, કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે તેને લઈ લીધો હતો.
25 And Methushelah lived a hundred eighty and seven years and begat Lemech.
૨૫જયારે તેના પુત્ર લામેખનો જન્મ થયો ત્યારે મથૂશેલાહ એકસો સિત્યાસી વર્ષનો હતો.
26 And Methushelah lived after he had begotten Lemech seven hundred eighty and two years; and he begat sons and daughters.
૨૬લામેખનો જન્મ થયા પછી મથૂશેલાહ સાતસો બ્યાસી વર્ષ જીવ્યો. તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
27 And all the days of Methushelah were nine hundred sixty and nine years; and he died.
૨૭મથૂશેલાહ નવસો અગણોસિત્તેર વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
28 And Lemech lived a hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son.
૨૮જયારે લામેખ એકસો બ્યાસી વર્ષનો થયો ત્યારે તે એક દીકરાનો પિતા થયો.
29 And he called his name Noach, [[Noah, ]] saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
૨૯તેણે તેનું નામ નૂહ રાખ્યું અને કહ્યું કે, “આ ઈશ્વરે શાપિત કરેલી ભૂમિ પર અમારા સખત કામ અને અમારા હાથોના સખત પરિશ્રમથી અમને વિસામો આપશે.”
30 And Lemech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred ninety and five years; and begat sons and daughters.
૩૦નૂહનો જન્મ થયા પછી લામેખ પાંચસો પંચાણું વર્ષ જીવ્યો. તે ઘણાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનો પિતા થયો.
31 And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred seventy and seven years; and he died.
૩૧લામેખ સાતસો સિત્તોતેર વર્ષની ઉંમરે મરણ પામ્યો.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
૩૨નૂહ પાંચસો વર્ષનો થયો પછી તે શેમ, હામ તથા યાફેથનો પિતા થયો.
