Genesis 49
1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
Jacob llamó a sus hijos y les dijo: Reúnanse y les declararé lo que les acontecerá en los días venideros.
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
Reúnanse y escuchen, hijos de Jacob, escuchen a su padre Israel:
3 Reuben, thou art my first-born, my might, and the beginning of my strength; the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power [should be thine].
Rubén, tú eres mi primogénito, Mi fuerza y primicia de mi vigor, Preeminente en dignidad, Preeminente en poder,
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not have the excellence; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou the one who ascended my couch.
Impetuoso como las aguas. No serás el principal, Pues subiste al lecho de tu padre y lo profanaste. ¡Él subió a mi lecho!
5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; weapons of violence are their swords.
Simeón y Leví son hermanos, Sus armas son instrumentos de injusticia.
6 Into their secret shall my soul not come; unto their assembly my spirit shall not be united; for in their anger they slew the man, and in their self-will they lamed the ox.
En su consejo no entre mi alma, Ni mi espíritu se una a su asamblea, Pues en su furia asesinaron hombres, Y en su temeridad desjarretaron bueyes.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; and their wrath, for it is cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
Maldita sea su cólera, que fue fiera, Y su furor, que fue cruel, Los dispersaré entre Jacob Y los esparciré entre Israel.
8 Judah, thou art the one thy brothers shall praise, thy hand shall be on the neck of thy enemies; thy father's children shall bow down unto thee.
Judá, te alabarán tus hermanos. Tu mano estará sobre el cuello de tus enemigos. Se inclinarán ante ti los hijos de tu padre.
9 Like a lion's whelp, O Judah, from the prey, my son, thou risest: he stoopeth down, he croucheth as a lion, and as a lioness, who shall rouse him up?
Cachorro de león es Judá, De la presa subiste, hijo mío, Se agazapa y acecha como un león, Y como un león, ¿quién se atreve a despertarlo?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet; until Shiloh come, and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
No será quitado el cetro de Judá, Ni el legislador de entre sus pies, Hasta que llegue Siloh, Y sea suya la obediencia de los pueblos.
11 He bindeth unto the vine his foal, and to the vine-branch his ass's colt; he washeth his garments in wine, and in the blood of grapes his clothes;
Ata a la vid su pollino, Y a la cepa el pollino de su asna. Lava en vino su ropa, Y en sangre de uvas su manto.
12 His eyes shall be red from wine, and his teeth white from milk.
Sus ojos están turbios por el vino, Y sus dientes blancos por la leche.
13 Zebulun shall dwell at the margin of the seas; and he shall be at the haven of ships; and his border shall be near to Zidon.
Zabulón habitará en la costa de los mares. Él será puerto de navíos, Y su extremo llegará hasta Sidón.
14 Issachar is a strong-boned ass, couching down between the stables.
Isacar, asno robusto, Que se echa entre dos apriscos.
15 And when he saw the resting-place that it was good, and the land that it was pleasant, he bent his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
Vio que el descanso era bueno Y la tierra placentera. Inclinó su hombro para cargar. Fue un esclavo de trabajo forzado.
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
Dan juzgará a su pueblo, Como una de las tribus de Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder on the path, that biteth the horse in the heels, so that his rider falleth backward.
Dan será serpiente junto al camino, Víbora junto al sendero, Que muerde los talones del caballo, Y su jinete cae hacia atrás.
18 For thy salvation, I hope, O Lord.
Espero tu salvación, oh Yavé.
19 Gad, troops will band against him; but he shall wound their heel.
A Gad lo asaltarán salteadores, Pero él asaltará su retaguardia.
20 Out of Asher cometh fat bread, and he shall yield royal dainties.
El pan de Aser es sustancioso, Y él producirá deleites reales.
21 Naphtali is [like] a fleet hind; he bringeth pleasant words.
Neftalí es venada suelta Que dará hermosas crías.
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a spring; the branches of which run over the wall.
Retoño fructífero es José, Retoño fructífero junto a un manantial, Sus ramas trepan sobre el muro.
23 And they embittered his life, and they shot at him, and they hated him, the men of the arrows.
Lo amargaron, lo flecharon y lo aborrecieron los arqueros,
24 But his bow abode in strength, and his arm and his hands remained firm; from the hands of the mighty God of Jacob, from there thou becamest the shepherd, the stone of Israel.
Pero su arco permaneció firme. Fueron fortalecidos los brazos de sus manos, Por las manos del Fuerte de Jacob. De allí es el Pastor, la Roca de Israel,
25 From the God of thy father, who will help thee; and from the Almighty, who will bless thee, with blessings of heaven above, with blessings of the deep that coucheth beneath, with blessings of the breasts, and of the womb;
Por el ʼEL de tu padre, Quien te ayudará, Por ʼEL-Shadday, Quien te bendecirá Con bendiciones de los cielos arriba, Con bendiciones de las profundidades abajo, Con bendiciones de los pechos y de la matriz.
26 With the blessings of thy father that have excelled the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: these shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separated from his brothers.
Las bendiciones de tu padre Son mayores que las bendiciones de mis antepasados Hasta el límite extremo de las colinas eternas. Sean ellas sobre la cabeza de José, Y para la coronilla del príncipe entre sus hermanos.
27 Benjamin shall be as a wolf that rendeth: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at evening he shall divide the spoil.
Benjamín, lobo depredador, En la mañana devorará la presa, Y por la tarde repartirá despojos.
28 All these are the tribes of Israel, twelve in number; and this is what their father spoke unto them, and wherewith he blessed them; every one according to his proper blessing blessed he them.
Todas estas son las 12 tribus de Israel, y esto es lo que les predijo su padre al bendecirlos a cada uno según la bendición que le correspondió.
29 And he charged them and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people; bury me near my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
Luego les dio instrucciones y les dijo: Yo voy a ser reunido a mi pueblo. Sepúltenme con mis antepasados en la cueva que está en el campo de Efrón el heteo,
30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which field Abraham bought of Ephron the Hittite, for a possession as a burying-place,
en la cueva que está frente a Mamre en el campo de la Macpela, en la tierra de Canaán, la cual Abraham compró con el campo de Efrón heteo, como propiedad para sepultura.
31 (There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah, )
Allí sepultaron a Abraham y a su esposa Sara. Allí sepultaron a Isaac y a su esposa Rebeca, y allí sepulté yo a Lea.
32 Purchasing the field and the cave that is therein from the children of Heth.
El campo y la cueva que hay en él fueron comprados de los hijos de Het.
33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed; and he departed this life, and was gathered unto his people.
Cuando Jacob concluyó de dar instrucciones a sus hijos, encogió sus pies en la cama y expiró. Y fue reunido a su pueblo.
