Genesis 49
1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
Εκάλεσε δε ο Ιακώβ τους υιούς αυτού και είπε, Συνάχθητε, διά να σας αναγγείλω τι μέλλει να συμβή εις εσάς εν ταις εσχάταις ημέραις·
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
συνάχθητε και ακούσατε, υιοί του Ιακώβ, και ακροάσθητε τον Ισραήλ τον πατέρα σας.
3 Reuben, thou art my first-born, my might, and the beginning of my strength; the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power [should be thine].
Ρουβήν ο πρωτότοκός μου, συ ισχύς μου και αρχή των δυνάμεών μου, έξοχος κατά την αξίαν και έξοχος κατά την δύναμιν.
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not have the excellence; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou the one who ascended my couch.
Εξέβρασας ως ύδωρ· δεν θέλεις έχει την υπεροχήν· διότι ανέβης επί την κλίνην του πατρός σου· τότε εμίανας αυτήν· επί την κλίνην μου ανέβη.
5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; weapons of violence are their swords.
Συμεών και Λευΐ οι αδελφοί, όργανα αδικίας είναι αι μάχαιραι αυτών·
6 Into their secret shall my soul not come; unto their assembly my spirit shall not be united; for in their anger they slew the man, and in their self-will they lamed the ox.
εις την βουλήν αυτών μη εισέλθης, ψυχή μου· εις την συνέλευσιν αυτών μη ενωθής, τιμή μου· διότι εν τω θυμώ αυτών εφόνευσαν ανθρώπους και εν τω πείσματι αυτών κατηδάφισαν τείχος.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; and their wrath, for it is cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
Επικατάρατος ο θυμός αυτών, διότι ήτο αυθάδης· και η οργή αυτών, διότι ήτο σκληρά· θέλω διαμοιράσει αυτούς εις τον Ιακώβ, και θέλω διασκορπίσει αυτούς εις τον Ισραήλ.
8 Judah, thou art the one thy brothers shall praise, thy hand shall be on the neck of thy enemies; thy father's children shall bow down unto thee.
Ιούδα, σε θέλουσι επαινέσει οι αδελφοί σου· η χειρ σου θέλει είσθαι επί τον τράχηλον των εχθρών σου· οι υιοί του πατρός σου θέλουσι σε προσκυνήσει·
9 Like a lion's whelp, O Judah, from the prey, my son, thou risest: he stoopeth down, he croucheth as a lion, and as a lioness, who shall rouse him up?
σκύμνος λέοντος είναι ο Ιούδας· εκ του θηρεύματος, υιέ μου, ανέβης· αναπεσών εκοιμήθη ως λέων και ως σκύμνος λέοντος· τις θέλει εγείρει αυτόν;
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet; until Shiloh come, and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Δεν θέλει εκλείψει το σκήπτρον εκ του Ιούδα ουδέ νομοθέτης εκ μέσου των ποδών αυτού, εωσού έλθη ο Σηλώ· και εις αυτόν θέλει είσθαι η υπακοή των λαών.
11 He bindeth unto the vine his foal, and to the vine-branch his ass's colt; he washeth his garments in wine, and in the blood of grapes his clothes;
Εις την άμπελον δένει το πωλάριον αυτού, και εις τον εκλεκτόν βλαστόν το παιδίον της όνου αυτού· θέλει πλύνει εν οίνω το ένδυμα αυτού και εν τω αίματι της σταφυλής το περιβόλαιον αυτού·
12 His eyes shall be red from wine, and his teeth white from milk.
Οι οφθαλμοί αυτού θέλουσιν είσθαι ερυθροί εκ του οίνου και οι οδόντες αυτού λευκοί εκ του γάλακτος.
13 Zebulun shall dwell at the margin of the seas; and he shall be at the haven of ships; and his border shall be near to Zidon.
Ο Ζαβουλών θέλει κατοικήσει εν λιμένι θαλάσσης και θέλει είσθαι εν λιμένι πλοίων· το δε όριον αυτού θέλει εκταθή έως Σιδώνος.
14 Issachar is a strong-boned ass, couching down between the stables.
Ο Ισσάχαρ είναι όνος δυνατός, κοιτώμενος εν τω μέσω των επαύλεων·
15 And when he saw the resting-place that it was good, and the land that it was pleasant, he bent his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
Και ιδών ότι η ανάπαυσις ήτο καλή και ο τόπος τερπνός, έκλινε τον ώμον αυτού εις φορτίον και έγεινε δούλος υποτελής.
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
Ο Δαν θέλει κρίνει τον λαόν αυτού, ως μία εκ των φυλών του Ισραήλ·
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder on the path, that biteth the horse in the heels, so that his rider falleth backward.
Ο Δαν θέλει είσθαι όφις επί της οδού, ασπίς επί της τρίβου, δάκνων τας πτέρνας του ίππου, ώστε ο ιππεύς αυτού θέλει πίπτει εις τα οπίσω.
18 For thy salvation, I hope, O Lord.
Την σωτηρίαν σου περιέμεινα, Κύριε.
19 Gad, troops will band against him; but he shall wound their heel.
Τον Γαδ θέλουσι πειρατεύσει πειραταί· πλην και αυτός εις το τέλος θέλει πειρατεύσει.
20 Out of Asher cometh fat bread, and he shall yield royal dainties.
Του Ασήρ ο άρτος θέλει είσθαι παχύς· και αυτός θέλει δίδει βασιλικάς τρυφάς.
21 Naphtali is [like] a fleet hind; he bringeth pleasant words.
Ο Νεφθαλί είναι έλαφος απολελυμένη, δίδων λόγους αρεστούς.
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a spring; the branches of which run over the wall.
Ο Ιωσήφ, κλάδος καρποφόρος, κλάδος καρποφόρος πλησίον πηγής, του οποίου οι βλαστοί εκτείνονται επί του τοίχου·
23 And they embittered his life, and they shot at him, and they hated him, the men of the arrows.
Οι τοξόται επίκραναν αυτόν και ετόξευσαν κατ' αυτού, και εχθρεύθησαν αυτόν.
24 But his bow abode in strength, and his arm and his hands remained firm; from the hands of the mighty God of Jacob, from there thou becamest the shepherd, the stone of Israel.
Αλλά το τόξον αυτού έμεινε δυνατόν και οι βραχίονες των χειρών αυτού ενεδυναμώθησαν διά των χειρών του ισχυρού Θεού του Ιακώβ· εκείθεν ο ποιμήν, η πέτρα του Ισραήλ·
25 From the God of thy father, who will help thee; and from the Almighty, who will bless thee, with blessings of heaven above, with blessings of the deep that coucheth beneath, with blessings of the breasts, and of the womb;
και τούτο διά του Θεού του πατρός σου, όστις θέλει σε βοηθεί, και διά του Παντοδυνάμου, όστις θέλει σε ευλογεί, ευλογίας του ουρανού άνωθεν, ευλογίας της αβύσσου κάτωθεν, ευλογίας των μαστών και της μήτρας·
26 With the blessings of thy father that have excelled the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: these shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separated from his brothers.
Αι ευλογίαι του πατρός σου υπερίσχυσαν υπέρ τας ευλογίας των προγόνων μου έως των υψηλών κορυφών των αιωνίων ορέων· θέλουσιν είσθαι επί της κεφαλής του Ιωσήφ και επί της κορυφής του εκλεκτού μεταξύ των αδελφών αυτού.
27 Benjamin shall be as a wolf that rendeth: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at evening he shall divide the spoil.
Ο Βενιαμίν θέλει είσθαι λύκος άρπαξ· το πρωΐ θέλει κατατρώγει θήραμα, και το εσπέρας θέλει διαιρεί λάφυρα.
28 All these are the tribes of Israel, twelve in number; and this is what their father spoke unto them, and wherewith he blessed them; every one according to his proper blessing blessed he them.
Πάντες ούτοι είναι αι δώδεκα φυλαί του Ισραήλ, και τούτο είναι το οποίον ελάλησε προς αυτούς ο πατήρ αυτών και ευλόγησεν αυτούς· έκαστον κατά την ευλογίαν αυτού ευλόγησεν αυτούς.
29 And he charged them and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people; bury me near my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
Και παρήγγειλεν εις αυτούς και είπε προς αυτούς, Εγώ προστίθεμαι εις τον λαόν μου· θάψατέ με μετά των πατέρων μου εν τω σπηλαίω τω εν τω αγρώ Εφρών του Χετταίου·
30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which field Abraham bought of Ephron the Hittite, for a possession as a burying-place,
εν τω σπηλαίω τω εν τω αγρώ Μαχπελάχ τω απέναντι της Μαμβρή εν τη γη Χαναάν, το οποίον ο Αβραάμ ηγόρασε μετά του αγρού παρά του Εφρών του Χετταίου διά κτήμα μνημείου·
31 (There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah, )
εκεί έθαψαν τον Αβραάμ και την Σάρραν την γυναίκα αυτού· εκεί έθαψαν τον Ισαάκ και την Ρεβέκκαν την γυναίκα αυτού· και εκεί έθαψα εγώ την Λείαν·
32 Purchasing the field and the cave that is therein from the children of Heth.
η αγορά του αγρού και του σπηλαίου του εν αυτώ έγεινε παρά των υιών του Χετ.
33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed; and he departed this life, and was gathered unto his people.
Και αφού ετελείωσεν ο Ιακώβ παραγγέλλων εις τους υιούς αυτού, έσυρε τους πόδας αυτού επί την κλίνην και εξέπνευσε· και προσετέθη εις τον λαόν αυτού.
