Genesis 36
1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;

3 And Bahsemath Ishmael's daughter, the sister of Nebayoth.

4 And Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz; and Bahsemath bore Reuel;
U-Ada wazala u-Elifazi ku-Esawu, uBhasemathi wazala uRuweli,
5 And Aholibamah bore Yeush, and Ya'lam, and Korach: these are the sons of Esau, that were born unto him in the land Canaan.
u-Oholibhama wazala uJewushi, loJalamu loKhora. La ayengamadodana ka-Esawu, awazala eKhenani.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan; and went into another country from the face of his brother Jacob.

7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land of their sojourning could not bear them, because of their cattle.

8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edom in mount Seir.
Lo ngumlando ka-Esawu uyise wama-Edomi elizweni lamaqaqa elaseSeyiri.
10 These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bahsemath the wife of Esau.
La ngamabizo amadodana ka-Esawu: U-Elifazi, indodana yomka-Esawu u-Ada, lo Ruweli indodana yomka-Esawu uBhasemathi.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Ga'tam, and Kenaz.
Amadodana ka-Elifazi ayeyila: uThemani, u-Omari, uZefo, uGathamu loKhenazi.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son: and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek; these were the sons of Adah, Esau's wife.
Indodana ka-Esawu u-Elifazi wayelomfazi weceleni owayethiwa nguThimina, owamzalela u-Amaleki. Laba babengabazukulu baka-Ada umka-Esawu.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel: Nachath, and Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah; these were the sons of Bahsemath, Esau's wife.
Amadodana kaRuweli ayeyila: uNahathi, uZera, uShama loMiza. Laba bebengabazukulu bomka-Esawu uBhasemathi umka-Esawu.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bore to Esau Yeush, and Ya'lam, and Korach.
Amadodana kamka-Esawu u-Oholibhama, indodakazi ka-Ana, njalo engumzukulu kaZibhiyoni, awazalela u-Esawu ayeyila: uJewushi, uJalamu loKhora.
15 These are the dukes of the sons of Esau; the sons of Eliphaz the first-born of Esau: duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,

16 Duke Korach, duke Ga'tam, duke Amalek; these are the dukes of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Adah.

17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son: duke Nachath, duke Zerach, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah; these are the dukes of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bahsemath, Esau's wife.
Amadodana kaRuweli indodana ka-Esawu: Izinduna uNahathi, uZera, uShama loMiza. Lezizinduna zazidabuka kuRewuli e-Edomi; zazingabazukulu bakaBhasemathi umka-Esawu.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah, Esau's wife: duke Yeush, duke Ya'lam, duke Korach; these are the dukes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
Amadodana ka-Oholibhama, umka-Esawu: Izinduna uJewushi, uJalamu loKhora. Lezi kwakuzinduna ezazidabuka kumka-Esawu, u-Oholibhama, indodakazi ka-Ana.
19 These are the sons of Esau, and these are their dukes; this is Edom.
La ayengamadodana ka-Esawu (kutshiwo u-Edomi), njalo bona babezinduna zabo.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Chorite, who inhabited the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
La ayengamadodana kaSeyiri umHori, ababehlala kulowomango: ULothani, uShobhali, uZibhiyoni, u-Ana,
21 And Dishon, and Etzer, and Dishan; these are the dukes of the Chorites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
uDishoni, u-Ezeri loDishani. La amadodana kaSeyiri e-Edomi ayeyizinduna zamaHori.
22 And the children of Lotan were Chori and Heman; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
Amadodana kaLothani ayeyila: uHori loHemani. UThimina wayengudadewabo kaLothani.
23 And these were the children of Shobal: Alvan, and Manachath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
Amadodana kaShobhali ayeyila: u-Alivani, uManahathi, u-Ebhali, uShefo lo-Onami.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon: both Ajah, and Anah; this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
Amadodana kaZibhiyoni ayeyila: u-Ayiya lo-Ana. (Lo nguye u-Ana owafumana izintombo zamanzi atshisayo enkangala eselusa obabhemi bakayise uZibhiyoni.)
25 And these are the children of Anah: Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
Abantwana baka-Ana babeyilaba: uDishoni lo-Oholibhama indodakazi ka-Ana.
26 And these are the children of Dishan: Chemdan, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
Amadodana kaDishoni ayeyila: uHemidani, u-Eshibhani, u-Ithirani loKherani.
27 These are the children of Etzer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan.
Amadodana ka-Ezeri ayeyila: uBhilihani, uZavani lo-Akhani.
28 These are the children of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.
Amadodana kaDishani ayeyila: u-Uzi lo-Arani.
29 These are the dukes of the Chorites: duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah;
Laba babezinduna zamaHori: ULothani, uShobhali, uZibhiyoni, u-Ana,
30 Duke Dishon, duke Etzer, duke Dishan; these are the dukes of the Chorites, after their dukes in the land of Seir.
uDishoni, u-Ezeri loDishani. Laba babezinduna zamaHori kusiya ngezigaba zabo elizweni laseSeyiri.
31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
La ayengamakhosi abusa e-Edomi kungakabusi inkosi yako-Israyeli:
32 And there reigned in Edom Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

33 And Bela died, and there reigned in his stead Yobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.

34 And Yobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Teman.
UJobhabhi esefile, uHushamu waselizweni lamaThemani wathatha umbuso waba yinkosi.
35 And Chusham died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was Avith.
UHushamu esefile, uHadadi indodana kaBhedadi, owanqoba uMidiyani elizweni laseMowabi, wathatha umbuso waba yinkosi. Idolobho lakhe lalibizwa ngokuthi yi-Avithi.
36 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Masrekah.

37 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Shaul of Rechoboth by the river.
USamila esefile, uShawuli waseRehobhothi phezu komfula wathatha umbuso waba yinkosi.
38 And Shaul died, and there reigned in his stead Baal-chanan the son of Achbor.
UShawuli esefile, uBhali-Hanani indodana ka-Akhibhori wathatha umbuso waba yinkosi.
39 And Baal-chanan the son of Achbor died, and there reigned in his stead Hadar, and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
UBhali-Hanani indodana ka-Akhibhori esefile, uHadari wathatha umbuso waba yinkosi. Idolobho lakhe labizwa ngokuthi yiPawu; njalo ibizo lomkakhe lalinguMehethabheli indodakazi kaMathiredi, indodakazi kaMe-Zahabhi.
40 And these are the names of the dukes of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: duke Timna, duke Alvah, duke Yetheth,
Lezi kwakuzinduna ezadabuka ku-Esawu, ngamabizo azo, kusiya ngosendo lwazo lezigodi zazo: UThimina, u-Aliva, uJethethi,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon.
u-Oholibhama, u-Ela, uPhinoni,
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
uKhenazi, uThemani, uMibhizari,
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram; these are the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: this is Esau the father of the Edom.
uMagidiyeli lo-Iramu. Lezi kwakuzinduna ze-Edomi, kusiya ngokuhlala kwabo elizweni ababakhe kulo. Lolu yilo-ke usendo luka-Esawu, uyise wama-Edomi.
