Genesis 10
1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and unto them were sons born after the flood.
१नूह के पुत्र शेम, हाम और येपेत थे; उनके पुत्र जल-प्रलय के पश्चात् उत्पन्न हुए: उनकी वंशावली यह है।
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tirass.
२येपेत के पुत्र: गोमेर, मागोग, मादै, यावान, तूबल, मेशेक और तीरास हुए।
3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
३और गोमेर के पुत्र: अश्कनज, रीपत और तोगर्मा हुए।
4 And Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
४और यावान के वंश में एलीशा और तर्शीश, और कित्ती, और दोदानी लोग हुए।
5 From these were separated the isles of the nations in their lands, every one after his tongue: after their families, in their nations.
५इनके वंश अन्यजातियों के द्वीपों के देशों में ऐसे बँट गए कि वे भिन्न-भिन्न भाषाओं, कुलों, और जातियों के अनुसार अलग-अलग हो गए।
6 And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizrayim, Put and Canaan.
६फिर हाम के पुत्र: कूश, मिस्र, पूत और कनान हुए।
7 And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, Sabtah and Raamah, and Sabtecha; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
७और कूश के पुत्र सबा, हवीला, सबता, रामाह, और सब्तका हुए। और रामाह के पुत्र शेबा और ददान हुए।
8 And Cush begat Nimrod; he began to be a mighty man on the earth.
८कूश के वंश में निम्रोद भी हुआ; पृथ्वी पर पहला वीर वही हुआ है।
9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord.
९वही यहोवा की दृष्टि में पराक्रमी शिकार खेलनेवाला ठहरा, इससे यह कहावत चली है; “निम्रोद के समान यहोवा की दृष्टि में पराक्रमी शिकार खेलनेवाला।”
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
१०उसके राज्य का आरम्भ शिनार देश में बाबेल, एरेख, अक्कद, और कलने से हुआ।
11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and built Nineveh, and the city of Rechoboth, and Calach.
११उस देश से वह निकलकर अश्शूर को गया, और नीनवे, रहोबोतीर और कालह को,
12 And Ressen between Nineveh and Calach: the same is the great city.
१२और नीनवे और कालह के बीच जो रेसेन है, उसे भी बसाया; बड़ा नगर यही है।
13 And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuchim.
१३मिस्र के वंश में लूदी, अनामी, लहाबी, नप्तूही,
14 And the Pethrussim, and Casluchin, [out of whom came the Pelishtim, ] and the Caphtorim.
१४और पत्रूसी, कसलूही, और कप्तोरी लोग हुए, कसलूहियों में से तो पलिश्ती लोग निकले।
15 And Canaan begat Sidon his first-born, and Heth,
१५कनान के वंश में उसका ज्येष्ठ पुत्र सीदोन, तब हित्त,
16 And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,
१६यबूसी, एमोरी, गिर्गाशी,
17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
१७हिब्बी, अर्की, सीनी,
18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
१८अर्वदी, समारी, और हमाती लोग भी हुए; फिर कनानियों के कुल भी फैल गए।
19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gazzah; as thou goest unto Sodom and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboyim, even unto Lesha.
१९और कनानियों की सीमा सीदोन से लेकर गरार के मार्ग से होकर गाज़ा तक और फिर सदोम और गमोरा और अदमा और सबोयीम के मार्ग से होकर लाशा तक हुआ।
20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, in their nations.
२०हाम के वंश में ये ही हुए; और ये भिन्न-भिन्न कुलों, भाषाओं, देशों, और जातियों के अनुसार अलग-अलग हो गए।
21 But unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, were children born.
२१फिर शेम, जो सब एबेरवंशियों का मूलपुरुष हुआ, और जो येपेत का ज्येष्ठ भाई था, उसके भी पुत्र उत्पन्न हुए।
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
२२शेम के पुत्र: एलाम, अश्शूर, अर्पक्षद, लूद और अराम हुए।
23 And the children of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
२३अराम के पुत्र: ऊस, हूल, गेतेर और मश हुए।
24 And Arpachshad begat Shelach; and Shelach begat Eber.
२४और अर्पक्षद ने शेलह को, और शेलह ने एबेर को जन्म दिया।
25 And unto Eber were born two sons; the name of one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
२५और एबेर के दो पुत्र उत्पन्न हुए, एक का नाम पेलेग इस कारण रखा गया कि उसके दिनों में पृथ्वी बँट गई, और उसके भाई का नाम योक्तान था।
26 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerach,
२६और योक्तान ने अल्मोदाद, शेलेप, हसर्मावेत, येरह,
27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
२७हदोराम, ऊजाल, दिक्ला,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba.
२८ओबाल, अबीमाएल, शेबा,
29 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
२९ओपीर, हवीला, और योबाब को जन्म दिया: ये ही सब योक्तान के पुत्र हुए।
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar, the mount of the east.
३०इनके रहने का स्थान मेशा से लेकर सपारा, जो पूर्व में एक पहाड़ है, उसके मार्ग तक हुआ।
31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
३१शेम के पुत्र ये ही हुए; और ये भिन्न-भिन्न कुलों, भाषाओं, देशों और जातियों के अनुसार अलग-अलग हो गए।
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations; and from these were the nations separated on the earth after the flood.
३२नूह के पुत्रों के घराने ये ही है: और उनकी जातियों के अनुसार उनकी वंशावलियाँ ये ही हैं; और जल-प्रलय के पश्चात् पृथ्वी भर की जातियाँ इन्हीं में से होकर बँट गईं।
