Ezra 1
1 And in the first year of Cyrus the king of Persia, at the time the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah was accomplished, the Lord awakened the spirit of Cyrus the king of Persia; and he caused a proclamation to be made throughout all his kingdom, and also by means of writing, saying,
Et la première année de Cyrus, roi de Perse, afin que fût accomplie la parole de l’Éternel [dite] par la bouche de Jérémie, l’Éternel réveilla l’esprit de Cyrus, roi de Perse; et il fit une proclamation dans tout son royaume, et la publia aussi par écrit, disant:
2 Thus hath said Cyrus the king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord the God of heaven given unto me; and he hath directed me to build for him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Ainsi dit Cyrus, roi de Perse: L’Éternel, le Dieu des cieux, m’a donné tous les royaumes de la terre, et il m’a chargé de lui bâtir une maison à Jérusalem, qui est en Juda.
3 Whoever among you that is of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord the God of Israel, he is the God who is in Jerusalem.
Qui d’entre vous, quel qu’il soit, est de son peuple, – que son Dieu soit avec lui, et qu’il monte à Jérusalem, qui est en Juda, et qu’il bâtisse la maison de l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël (lui est Dieu), à Jérusalem.
4 And whosoever remaineth out of any place where he hath sojourned, him shall the men of his place assist with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.
Et celui qui est de reste, dans tous les lieux où chacun séjourne, que les hommes du lieu lui viennent en aide, avec de l’argent, et avec de l’or, et avec des biens, et avec du bétail, outre les offrandes volontaires pour la maison de Dieu qui est à Jérusalem.
5 Then rose up the chiefs of the divisions of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all those whose spirit God had awakened, to go up to build the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem.
Alors se levèrent les chefs des pères de Juda et de Benjamin, et les sacrificateurs et les lévites, tous ceux dont Dieu avait réveillé l’esprit, afin de monter pour bâtir la maison de l’Éternel qui est à Jérusalem.
6 And all those that were round about them supplied them with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered.
Et tous ceux qui les entouraient les aidèrent avec des objets d’argent, avec de l’or, avec des biens, et avec du bétail, et avec des choses précieuses, outre tout ce qu’on offrit volontairement.
7 Also king Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought away out of Jerusalem, and had placed in the house of his god:
Et le roi Cyrus fit sortir les ustensiles de la maison de l’Éternel, que Nebucadnetsar avait fait sortir de Jérusalem et qu’il avait mis dans la maison de son dieu.
8 Even these did Cyrus the king of Persia bring forth through the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them out unto Sheshbazzar the prince for Judah.
Et Cyrus, roi de Perse, les fit sortir par Mithredath, le trésorier, qui les compta à Sheshbatsar, prince de Juda.
9 And this is their number: Thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives,
Et en voici le nombre: 30 bassins d’or, 1 000 bassins d’argent, 29 couteaux,
10 Thirty cups of gold, silver cups of a second degree four hundred and ten, other vessels a thousand.
30 coupes d’or, 410 coupes d’argent de second ordre, [et] 1 000 autres ustensiles;
11 All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up with the exiles that were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem.
tous les ustensiles d’or et d’argent étaient [au nombre de] 5 400. Sheshbatsar apporta le tout lorsqu’on fit monter de Babylone à Jérusalem ceux de la transportation.
