Ezekiel 4
1 But thou, O son of man, take thyself a tile, and lay it before thee, and engrave upon it a city, [namely, ] Jerusalem:
“മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ കളിമണ്ണിന്റെ ഒരു വലിയ കട്ട എടുത്തു മുമ്പിൽവെച്ച് അതിന്മേൽ ജെറുശലേം നഗരം വരയ്ക്കുക.
2 And place around it a siege, and build works of attack against it, and cast up a mound against it; and arrange around it encampments, and place against it battering rams round about.
പിന്നീട് അതിനെ വളഞ്ഞ് ഉപരോധക്കോട്ട പണിത് ചുറ്റും ചരിഞ്ഞ പാത പണിത്, അതിനെതിരേ പാളയങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചുറ്റിലും കോട്ടകളെ തകർക്കുന്ന യന്ത്രമുട്ടികൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.
3 Moreover take thou unto thyself an iron pan, and set it up as a wall of iron between thee and the city: and direct thy face against it, that it may be placed in a state of siege, and lay siege against it. This shall be a sign for the house of Israel.
പിന്നീട് ഒരു ഇരുമ്പുചട്ടി എടുത്ത് നിനക്കും നഗരത്തിനും മധ്യേ ഇരുമ്പുകോട്ടയായി നിർത്തുക. തുടർന്ന് നിന്റെ മുഖം അതിന് അഭിമുഖമായി തിരിക്കുക. അത് ഉപരോധിക്കപ്പെടും, നീ അതിന് ഉപരോധം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തണം. ഇത് ഇസ്രായേൽജനത്തിനുള്ള ഒരു ചിഹ്നം ആയിരിക്കും.
4 And as for thyself, lie upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: [after] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it shalt thou bear their iniquity.
“അതിനുശേഷം നീ ഇടതുവശം ചരിഞ്ഞുകിടന്ന് ഇസ്രായേൽജനത്തിന്റെ അതിക്രമം നിന്റെമേൽ ചുമത്തുക. നീ ആ വശം കിടക്കുന്ന ദിവസത്തോളം അവരുടെ പാപം വഹിക്കണം.
5 But as for myself, I lay upon thee the years of their iniquity, after the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
അവരുടെ പാപത്തിന്റെ വർഷങ്ങൾക്കനുസരിച്ച് ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ദിവസങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. മുന്നൂറ്റിത്തൊണ്ണൂറു ദിവസങ്ങൾ നീ ഇസ്രായേൽജനത്തിന്റെ പാപം ചുമക്കണം.
6 And when thou hast made an end of them, thou shalt lie on thy right side, the second time, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: a day each for a year, a day for a year do I lay it on thee.
“ഈ ദിവസങ്ങൾ തികച്ചശേഷം നീ വലതുവശം ചരിഞ്ഞുകിടന്ന് യെഹൂദാജനത്തിന്റെ പാപം വഹിക്കണം. വർഷത്തിന് ഒരു ദിവസംവീതം നാൽപ്പതുദിവസം ഞാൻ ആ വിധത്തിൽ നിനക്കു നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
7 And toward the siege of Jerusalem shalt thou direct thy face with thy arm uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
ഉപരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ട ജെറുശലേമിന് അഭിമുഖമായി നീ നിന്റെ മുഖംതിരിച്ച് നഗ്നമായ ഭുജത്തോടെ അവൾക്കെതിരേ പ്രവചിക്കണം.
8 And, behold, I will lay ropes upon thee, that thou mayest not turn thyself from one side to the other, till thou hast made an end of the days of thy siege.
നിന്റെ ഉപരോധകാലം തികയുന്നതുവരെ നീ ഒരു വശത്തുനിന്നു മറുവശത്തേക്കു തിരിയാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ കയറുകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടും.
9 But thou take unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thyself bread thereof, [after] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days, shalt thou eat it.
“നീ ഗോതമ്പും യവവും അമരയും പയറും തിനയും ചോളവും എടുത്ത് ഒരു പാത്രത്തിലിട്ട് അപ്പം ഉണ്ടാക്കുക. നീ ഒരു വശം ചരിഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്ന ദിവസങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണമനുസരിച്ച് മുന്നൂറ്റിത്തൊണ്ണൂറു ദിവസം അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കണം.
10 And thy food which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels for every day: from one time to the other time shalt thou eat it.
നീ കഴിക്കുന്ന ഭക്ഷണം ദിനംപ്രതി ഇരുപതുശേക്കേൽ ആയിരിക്കണം; നിർദിഷ്ട സമയങ്ങളിൽത്തന്നെ നീ അതു കഴിക്കണം.
11 And water shalt thou drink by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from one time to the other time shalt thou drink [it].
ഒരു ഹീനിന്റെ ആറിലൊരു ഭാഗം വെള്ളം നീ ദിവസവും കുടിക്കണം. അതും കൃത്യസമയങ്ങളിലായിരിക്കണം.
12 And in form of a barley-cake shalt thou eat it, and this shalt thou bake with balls of human excrement before their eyes.
യവംകൊണ്ടുള്ള അടപോലെ അതുണ്ടാക്കി ഭക്ഷിക്കണം. അവർ കാൺകെ മനുഷ്യമലം കത്തിച്ച് അതു ചുടണം.
13 And the Lord said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations whither I will drive them.
ഞാൻ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ നാടുകടത്തുന്ന ജനതകളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ ഈ വിധം മലിനതയോടെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിക്കും,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
14 Then said I, Ah Lord Eternal! behold, my soul hath not been defiled; and that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces, have I never eaten from my youth up even until now; and never is flesh of abomination come into my mouth.
അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “അയ്യോ! യഹോവയായ കർത്താവേ, ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കലും എന്നെത്തന്നെ മലിനമാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല; ചെറുപ്പംമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും തനിയേ ചത്തതോ വന്യമൃഗങ്ങൾ കടിച്ചുകീറിയതോ ഞാൻ തിന്നിട്ടില്ല. അശുദ്ധമായ ഒരു മാംസവും എന്റെ വായിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടില്ല.”
15 Then said he unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung instead of human excrement; and thou shalt prepare thy bread thereupon.
അപ്പോൾ അവിടന്ന്: “ഇതാ, മനുഷ്യവിസർജ്യത്തിനു പകരം പശുവിൻചാണകം കത്തിച്ച് നിന്റെ അപ്പം ചുടുന്നതിനു ഞാൻ അനുവാദം തരുന്നു” എന്നു കൽപ്പിച്ചു.
16 And he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight, and with anxious care; and they shall drink water by measure, and in confusion;
അവിടന്ന് എന്നോട് ഇതുംകൂടി അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഇതാ ഞാൻ ജെറുശലേമിൽ അപ്പമെന്ന കോൽ ഒടിച്ചുകളയുന്നു. അവർ പരിമിതമായ അളവിൽ വ്യാകുലതയോടെയും അപ്പം തിന്നും; ക്ലിപ്തമായ അളവിൽ നിരാശയോടെ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കും.
17 In order that they may want bread and water, and be confounded one with the other, and pine away for their iniquity.
അപ്പവും വെള്ളവും ദുർല്ലഭമായിരിക്കും. ഓരോരുത്തരും പരസ്പരം നോക്കി സ്തബ്ധരായിത്തീരും. തങ്ങളുടെ പാപംനിമിത്തം അവർ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.
