Ezekiel 37
1 There came over me the inspiration of the Lord, and he carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones;
Es kam über mich die Hand Jahwes, und er führte mich hinaus im Geiste Jahwes und ließ mich halt machen mitten in der Thalebene: die war voller Gebeine.
2 And he caused me to pass by them all round about; and, behold, there were very many of them on the surface of the valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
Und er ließ mich ringsherum an ihnen vorübergehen; da lagen ihrer sehr viele auf der Oberfläche der Thalebene, die waren ganz verdorrt.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live! And I said, O Lord Eternal, thou alone knowest this.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, werden wohl diese Gebeine wieder lebendig werden? Ich antwortete: Herr Jahwe, du weißt es!
4 And he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear ye the word of the Lord.
Da sprach er zu mir: Rufe feierlich über diese Gebeine hin und sprich zu ihnen: Ihr verdorrten Gebeine, hört Jahwes Wort!
5 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal unto these bones, Behold, I will bring a spirit into you, and ye shall live;
So spricht der Herr Jahwe zu diesen Gebeinen: Fürwahr, ich will Lebensodem in euch bringen, daß ihr wieder lebendig werden sollt.
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and bring up flesh upon you, and draw over you a skin, and put a spirit in you, and ye shall live: and ye shall experience that I am the Lord.
Und ich will Sehnen auf euch legen und Fleisch auf euch bringen und euch mit Haut überziehen und euch Odem einflößen, daß ihr lebendig werdet, und ihr sollt erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin.
7 And so I prophesied as I had been commanded: and there was a sound, as I prophesied, and behold there was a rustling noise, and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
Da rief ich feierlich, wie mir befohlen war. Und es entstand ein Rauschen, als ich feierlich rief, und es gab ein Rasseln, und die Gebeine rückten eins ans andere heran.
8 And I looked, and behold, there were sinews upon them, and the flesh came up, and the skin was drawn over them above; but no spirit was in them.
Und ich gewahrte, wie Sehnen an sie kamen und Fleisch darüber wuchs, und sich Haut darüber spannte. Aber noch war kein Odem in ihnen.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the spirit; prophesy, son of man, and say to the spirit, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, From the four winds come, O spirit, and breathe into these slain ones, that they may live.
Da sprach er zu mir: Rufe feierlich dem Winde, ja rufe feierlich, Menschensohn, und sprich zu dem Winde: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Von den vier Winden komm' herbei, o Lebensodem, und hauche diese Erschlagenen an, daß sie lebendig werden!
10 And I prophesied as he had commanded me, and there came into them the spirit, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
Als ich nun feierlich rief, wie er mir befohlen hatte, da kam der Lebensodem in sie, daß sie lebendig wurden und sich auf ihre Füße stellten - eine überaus große Schar!
11 Then said he unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Dried are our bones, and lost is our hope; we are quite cut off.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, diese Gebeine sind das ganze Haus Israel. Da giebt es welche, die sprechen: Unsere Gebeine sind verdorrt, unsere Hoffnung ist geschwunden: es ist aus mit uns!
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will open your graves, and I will cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people, and I will bring you into the land of Israel.
Darum rufe feierlich und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich will eure Gräber öffnen und euch, mein Volk, aus euren Gräbern heraufholen und euch ins Land Israel bringen,
13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves, and when I cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people.
damit ihr erkennet, daß ich Jahwe bin, wenn ich euere Gräber öffne und euch, mein Volk, aus euren Gräbern heraufhole.
14 And I will put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I will place you in your own land: and ye shall acknowledge that I the Lord have spoken it, and done it, saith the Lord.
Und ich will meinen Odem in euch geben, daß ihr wieder lebendig werden sollt, und will euch in euer Land versetzen, und ihr sollt erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin; ich habe es geredet und werde es vollführen, ist der Spruch Jahwes.
15 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Und es erging das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:
16 But thou, son of man, take unto thyself one stick of wood, and write upon it, “For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions;” then take another stick, and write upon it, “For Joseph, —the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:”
Du Menschensohn, nimm dir einen Holzstab und schreibe darauf: “Juda und die mit ihm verbündeten Israeliten”; sodann nimm einen anderen Stab und schreibe darauf: “Joseph, Stab Ephraims, und das ganze mit ihm verbüdete Haus Israel.”
17 And join them one to the other unto thee as one stick; and they shall become one in thy hand.
Und vereinige sie dir dann zu einem einzigen Stabe, daß sie in deiner Hand zu einem einzigen werden.
18 And if the children of thy people should say unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not tell us what thou meanest by these?
Und wenn deine Volksgenossen also zu dir sagen: Willst du uns nicht erklären, was du damit bezweckst?
19 [Then] speak unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, —which is in the hand of Ephraim, —and the tribes of Israel his companions, and will lay them upon him, even the stick of Judah, and make them into one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.
dann sage ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich werde den Stab Joseph nehmen, der in der Hand Ephraims und der mit ihm verbündeten israelitischen Stämme ist, und werde sie zum Stabe Juda thun, daß sie zu einem Stab in der Hand Judas werden.
20 And the sticks whereon thou shalt have written shall be in thy hand before their eyes.
Und so sollen die Stäbe, auf die du schreibst, in deiner Hand vor ihren Augen vereinigt sein.
21 And speak unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and I will gather them from every side, and bring them unto their own land;
Und sage zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich werde die Söhne Israels mittenheraus aus den Völkern nehmen, zu denen sie hingegangen sind, und werde sie von allen Seiten her sammeln und sie in ihr Land bringen.
22 And I will make them into one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be to them all for king; and they shall not be any more two nations, nor shall they at any time be divided into two kingdoms any more:
Und ich will sie zu einem Volke machen in dem Land auf den Bergen Israels, und ein König soll über sie alle König sein, und sie sollen nicht mehr zwei Völker sein und sollen nicht länger in zwei Königreiche zerteilt sein.
23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, and with their detestable things, and with all their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, wherein they have sinned, and I will cleanse them, and they shall be unto me for a people, and I will be to them for a God.
Und sie sollen sich ferner nicht mehr an ihren Götzen und an ihren Scheusalen und durch alle ihre Treuebrüche verunreinigen, und ich weill sie eretten aus allen ihren Abtrünnigkeiten, durch die sie sich vergangen haben, und will sie reinigen, daß sie wieder mein Volk werden, und ich will ihr Gott sein!
24 And my servant David shall be king over them; and one shepherd shall be for them all: and in my ordinances shall they walk, and my statutes shall they observe, and do them.
Und mein Knecht David soll König über sie sein, und sie alle sollen einen Hirten haben und sollen nach meinen Ordnungen wandeln und meine Satzungen beobachten und nach ihnen thun.
25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto my servant, unto Jacob, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and David my servant shall be prince unto them for ever.
Und sie sollen in dem Lande wohnen, das ich meinem Knechte Jakob verliehen habe, in welchem eure Väter gewohnt haben; in dem sollen auch sie wohnen und ihre Kinder und Kindeskinder bis in Ewigkeit, und mein Knecht David soll für immer ihr Herrscher sein.
26 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, an everlasting covenant shall it be with them: and I will multiply them, and I will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
Und ich werde einen Friedensbund mit ihnen schließen - ein ewiger Bund mit ihnen soll es sein - und werde sie hineinsetzen und mehren und werde mein Heiligtum für immer in ihre Mitte stellen.
27 My dwelling also shall be with them, and I will be unto them for a God; and they shall be unto me as a people.
Und meine Wohnung soll bei ihnen sein und ich will ihr Gott sein und sie sollen mein Volk sein.
28 And the nations shall know that I am the Lord who sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary will be in the midst of them for evermore.
Und so sollen die Völker erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin, der Israel heiligt, wenn mein Heiligtum für immer in ihrer Mitte bleibt.
