< Ezekiel 36 >
1 But thou, son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of the Lord.
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, sọtẹ́lẹ̀ sí àwọn òkè gíga Israẹli kí o sì wí pé, ‘Ẹ̀yin òkè gíga Israẹli gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa.
2 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the enemy hath said regarding you, Aha, even the ancient high-places are become ours as a possession:
Èyí yìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Àwọn ọ̀tá sọ nípa yín pé, “Háà! Àwọn ibi gíga ìgbàanì ti di ohun ìní wa.”’
3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because, even because men have made you desolate, and sought to swallow you up on every side, that ye might become a possession unto the residue of the nations, and ye are taken up as a talk for tongues, and an evil report of the people:
Nítorí náà, sọtẹ́lẹ̀ kí ó sì wí pé, ‘Èyí yìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Nítorí pé wọn sọ ọ di ahoro, tí wọn sì ń dọdẹ rẹ ní gbogbo ọ̀nà kí ìwọ kí ó lè di ìní fún àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó kù, àti ohun ti àwọn ènìyàn ń sọ ọ̀rọ̀ ìríra àti ìdíbàjẹ́ sí,
4 Therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys, to the desolate ruins, and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are round about:
nítorí náà, ẹ̀yin òkè gíga Israẹli gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa Olódùmarè, èyí yìí ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí fún àwọn òkè gíga àti àwọn òkè kéékèèké, fún àfonífojì ńlá àti àfonífojì kéékèèké, fún àwọn ibi ìsọdahoro ìparun àti fún àwọn ìlú tí a ti kọ̀sílẹ̀ tí a ti kó tí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó kù ní àyíká sì fi ṣe ẹlẹ́yà,
5 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the nations, and against all Idumea, that have appropriated my land unto themselves as a possession with the joy of all their heart, with derision in their soul, in order to drive it out that it may be for a prey.
èyí yìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Ní ìgbóná ọkàn ní mo sọ̀rọ̀ sí àwọn kèfèrí yòókù, àti sí Edomu, nítorí pẹ̀lú ìbínú àti ìjowú ní ọkàn wọn ni wọ́n sọ ilé mi di ohun ìní wọn, kí wọn kí o lè kó pápá oko tútù rẹ̀.’
6 Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, In my zealousness and in my fury have I spoken, because ye have borne the reproach of the nations:
Nítorí náà, sọtẹ́lẹ̀ nípa ilẹ̀ Israẹli náà kí o sì sọ sí àwọn òkè gíga náà àti àwọn òkè kéékèèké, sí àwọn àfonífojì ńlá àti sí àwọn àfonífojì kéékèèké, ‘Èyí yìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Èmi sọ̀rọ̀ nínú ìrunú owú mi nítorí pé ìwọ ti jìyà ìfiṣẹ̀sín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè.
7 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I have indeed lifted up my hand, that the nations who are round about you— these shall bear their shame.
Nítorí náà, èyí yìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Èmi ṣe ìbúra nípa nína ọwọ́ mi sókè pé; àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè àyíká rẹ náà yóò jìyà ìfiṣẹ̀sín.
8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall send forth your boughs, and your fruit shall ye bear for my people Israel, for they are near at hand to come.
“‘Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ, òkè gíga Israẹli, yóò mú ẹ̀ka àti èso fún àwọn ènìyàn mi Israẹli, nítorí wọn yóò wá sílé ní àìpẹ́ yìí.
9 For, behold, I will be for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and ye shall be sown;
Èmi ń ṣe àníyàn fún ọ, èmi yóò sì fi rere wọ̀ ọ́; àwa yóò tu ọ́, àwa yóò sì gbìn ọ́,
10 And I will multiply upon you men, all the house of Israel— altogether; and the cities shall be inhabited again, and the ruins shall be rebuilt;
èmi yóò sì sọ iye àwọn ènìyàn di púpọ̀ nínú rẹ àti gbogbo ilé Israẹli. Àwọn ìlú yóò di ibùgbé, a yóò sì tún àwọn ibi ìparun kọ́.
11 And I will multiply upon you men and beast, and they shall increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited after your old estates, and will do more good unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Èmi yóò sọ iye ènìyàn àti ẹran dì púpọ̀ nínú yín, wọn yóò sì so èso, wọn yóò sì di púpọ̀ yanturu. Èmi yóò mú kí àwọn ènìyàn máa gbé nínú rẹ bí ti àtẹ̀yìnwá, èmi yóò sì mú kí o ṣe rere ju ìgbà àtijọ́ lọ. Nígbà náà ni ìwọ yóò mọ pé èmi ni Olúwa.
12 Yea, I will cause to walk upon you men, even my people Israel, and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be unto them as an inheritance, and thou shalt not any more henceforth cast them out.
Èmi yóò mú kí àwọn ènìyàn, àní àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli, rìn lórí rẹ̀. Wọn yóò gbà ọ́, ìwọ yóò sì di ogún ìní wọn; ìwọ kì yóò sì gba àwọn ọmọ wọn lọ́wọ́ wọn mọ́.
13 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast been one that hath ever cast out thy nations:
“‘Èyí yìí ni ohun tí Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Nítorí pé àwọn ènìyàn sọ fún ọ pé, “Ìwọ pa àwọn ènìyàn run, ìwọ sì gba àwọn ọmọ orílẹ̀-èdè lọ́wọ́ wọn,”
14 Therefore shalt thou not devour up men any more, and thy nations shalt thou not cast out any more, saith the Lord Eternal.
nítorí náà ìwọ kì yóò pa àwọn ènìyàn run tàbí mú kì orílẹ̀-èdè di aláìlọ́mọ mọ́, ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.
15 And I will not let be heard against thee any more the reproach of the nations, and the disgrace of the people shalt thou not bear any more, and thy nations shalt thou not cast out any more, saith the Lord Eternal.
Èmi kì yóò mú ki ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀gàn láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè mọ́, ìwọ kì yóò jìyà ọ̀rọ̀ ìfiṣẹ̀sín láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn tàbí mú kí orílẹ̀-èdè rẹ ṣubú, ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.’”
16 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Síwájú sí i ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ̀ mí wá:
17 Son of man, the house of Israel, when they dwelt in their own land, defiled it through their way and through their doings: like the uncleanness of a woman in her separation was their way before me.
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, nígbà tí àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli ń gbé ní ilẹ̀ wọn, wọ́n bà á jẹ́ nípa ìwà àti ìṣe wọn. Ìwà wọn dàbí nǹkan àkókò àwọn obìnrin ni ojú mi.
18 And I poured out my fury over them because of the blood that they had shed in the land, and because through their idols they had polluted it;
Nítorí náà mo tú ìbínú mi jáde sórí wọn nítorí wọn ti ta ẹ̀jẹ̀ sílẹ̀ àti nítorí pé wọ́n ti fi ère wọn ba a jẹ́.
19 And I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings did I judge them.
Mo tú wọn ká sí àárín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, a sì fọ́n wọn ká sí àwọn ìlú; mo ṣe ìdájọ́ wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwà àti ìṣe wọn.
20 And when they were come unto the nations, whither they were gone, they profaned my holy name; because they said of them, These are the people of the Lord, and out of his land are they gone forth.
Gbogbo ibi tí wọ́n lọ ní àárín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè ni wọn ti sọ orúkọ mímọ́ mi di aláìmọ́, nítorí tí a sọ nípa wọn pé, ‘Ìwọ̀nyí ni àwọn ènìyàn Olúwa, síbẹ̀ wọn ní láti fi ilẹ̀ náà sílẹ̀.’
21 But I had pity for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations, whither they were gone.
Orúkọ mímọ́ mi jẹ́ mi lógún, èyí tí ilé Israẹli sọ di aláìmọ́ ni àárín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí wọ́n ti lọ.
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Not for your sake do I this, O house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which ye have profaned among the nations, whither ye are gone.
“Nítorí náà, sọ fún ilé Israẹli, ‘Èyí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Kì í ṣe nítorí rẹ, ìwọ ilé Israẹli, ni èmi yóò ṣe ṣe àwọn nǹkan wọ̀nyí, ṣùgbọ́n nítorí orúkọ mímọ́ mi, èyí ti ìwọ ti sọ di aláìmọ́ ní àárín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ìwọ ti lọ.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord Eternal, when I will be sanctified through you before your eyes.
Èmi yóò fi jíjẹ́ mímọ́ orúkọ ńlá mi, èyí tí a ti sọ di aláìmọ́ hàn ni àárín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, orúkọ tí ìwọ ti sọ di aláìmọ́ ni àárín wọn. Nígbà náà àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè yóò mọ̀ pé èmi ni Olúwa, ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí, nígbà tí mo bá fi ara mi hàn ni mímọ́ nípasẹ̀ yín ni iwájú wọn.
24 And I will take you from among the nations, and I will gather you out of all the countries, and I will bring you unto your own land.
“‘Nítorí èmi yóò mú yín jáde kúrò ni àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè náà; Èmi yóò ṣà yín jọ kúrò ní gbogbo àwọn ìlú náà; Èmi yóò sì mú yín padà sí ilẹ̀ ẹ̀yin tìkára yín.
25 And I will sprinkle upon you clean water, and ye shall be clean: from all your impurities, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Èmi yóò wọ́n omi tó mọ́ sí yín lára ẹ̀yin yóò sì mọ́; Èmi yóò sì fọ̀ yín mọ́ kúrò nínú gbogbo ìwà èérí yin gbogbo àti kúrò nínú gbogbo òrìṣà yin.
26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will remove the heart of stone out of your body, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
Èmi yóò fún yín ni ọkàn tuntun, èmi yóò sì fi ẹ̀mí tuntun sínú yín; Èmi yóò sì mú ọkàn òkúta kúrò nínú yín, èmi yóò sì fi ọkàn ẹran fún yín.
27 And my spirit I will put within you, and I will cause that you shall walk in my statutes, and that my ordinances ye shall keep, and do them.
Èmi yóò fi ẹ̀mí mi sínú yín, èmi yóò sì mú ki ẹ tẹ̀lé àṣẹ mi, kí ẹ sì fiyèsí àti pa òfin mi mọ́.
28 And ye shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be unto me for a people, and I truly will be unto you as a God.
Ẹ̀yin yóò sì máa gbé ilẹ̀ náà tí mo ti fi fún àwọn baba ńlá yín; ẹ̀yin yóò sì jẹ́ ènìyàn mi èmi yóò sì jẹ́ Ọlọ́run yín.
29 And I will save you from all kinds of your impurities; and I will call unto the corn, and increase it, and I will not lay famine upon you.
Èmi yóò sì gbà yín kúrò nínú gbogbo ìwà àìmọ́ yín. Èmi yóò pèsè ọkà, èmi yóò sì mú kí ó pọ̀ yanturu, èmi kì yóò sì mú ìyàn wá sí orí yín.
30 And I will multiply the fruit of the trees, and the products of the field: in order that ye may receive no more reproach on account of famine among the nations.
Èmi yóò sọ èso àwọn igi yín àti ohun ọ̀gbìn oko yín di púpọ̀, nítorí kí ẹ̀yin kí ó má ṣe jìyà ìdójútì mọ́ láàrín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè náà nítorí ìyàn.
31 Then shall ye remember your ways that they were evil, and your doings that were not good; and ye shall loathe yourselves on account of your iniquities and on account of your abominations.
Nígbà náà ni ẹ̀yin yóò rántí àwọn ọ̀nà búburú àti àwọn ìwà ìkà yín, ẹ̀yin yóò sì kórìíra ara yín fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yín, ìwà tí kò bójúmu.
32 Not for your sake do I this, saith the Lord Eternal, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded because of your ways, O house of Israel.
Mo fẹ́ kí ẹ mọ̀ pé ń kò ṣe nǹkan wọ̀nyí nítorí yín, ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí. Jẹ kí ojú kí ó tì yín, kí ẹ sì gba ẹ̀tẹ́ nítorí ìwà yín ẹ̀yin ilé Israẹli!
33 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, On the day of my cleansing you from all your iniquities, when I cause the cities to be inhabited, and when the ruins are built up,
“‘Èyí yìí ni ohun tí Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Ní ọjọ́ tí mo wẹ̀ yín kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yín gbogbo, èmi yóò ṣe àtúnṣe àwọn ìlú yín, wọn yóò sì ṣe àtúnkọ́ ìwólulẹ̀.
34 And when the desolate land is tilled, instead that it was a waste before the eyes of every passer by:
Ilẹ̀ ahoro náà ní àwa yóò tún kọ́ ti kì yóò wà ní ahoro lójú àwọn tí ó ń gba ibẹ̀ kọjá mọ́.
35 Then shall they say, This land, that was desolate, is become like the garden of 'Eden; and the cities that were ruined, and desolate, and broken down, are become fortified, and inhabited.
Wọn yóò sọ wí pé, “Ilẹ̀ yìí tí ó ti wà ní ahoro tẹ́lẹ̀ ti dàbí ọgbà Edeni; àwọn ìlú tí ó wà ní wíwó lulẹ̀, ahoro tí a ti parun, ni àwa yóò mọdi sí tí yóò sì wà fún gbígbé ni ìsinsin yìí.”
36 And the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord have built up the broken-down [places], have planted the desolate [land]: I the Lord have spoken this, and have done it.
Nígbà náà àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó wà ní àyíká yín tí ó kù yóò mọ̀ pé, Èmi Olúwa ti tún àwọn ohun tí ó bàjẹ́ kọ́, mo sì ti tún ohun tí ó di ìṣòfo gbìn. Èmi Olúwa ti sọ̀rọ̀, èmi yóò sì ṣe e?’
37 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Also in this will I yet suffer myself to be entreated of by the house of Israel, to do it for them, I will increase them with men like flocks [in multitude].
“Èyí yìí ni ohun tí Olúwa Olódùmarè sọ: Lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí i èmi yóò yí sí ilé Israẹli, èmi yóò sì ṣe èyí fún wọn. Èmi yóò mú kí àwọn ènìyàn yín pọ̀ lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ bí àgùntàn,
38 As the flocks of the holy things, as the flocks of Jerusalem on her appointed feasts, so shall the ruined cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
