Ezekiel 36
1 But thou, son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of the Lord.
Ja sinä, ihmisen poika, ennusta Israelin vuorille ja sano: kuulkaat Herran sanaa, te Israelin vuoret!
2 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the enemy hath said regarding you, Aha, even the ancient high-places are become ours as a possession:
Näin sanoo Herra, Herra: että vihollinen pitittää, sanoen: ne ijäiset vuoret ovat meidän perintömme!
3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because, even because men have made you desolate, and sought to swallow you up on every side, that ye might become a possession unto the residue of the nations, and ye are taken up as a talk for tongues, and an evil report of the people:
Sentähden ennusta ja sano: näin sanoo Herra, Herra: sentähden, ja tosin sentähden, että te joka paikassa hävitetään ja sorretaan, olette myös jääneille pakanoille osaksi joutuneet, ja kansan kieliin ja pilkaksi tulleet.
4 Therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys, to the desolate ruins, and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are round about:
Sentähden kuulkaat, te Israelin vuoret, Herran, Herran sanaa: näin sanoo Herra, Herra, sekä vuorille että kukkuloille, ojille ja laaksoille, hävitetylle autiolle ja hyljätyille kaupungeille, jotka jääneille pakanoille joka taholta ympäri saaliiksi ja nauruksi tulleet ovat.
5 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the nations, and against all Idumea, that have appropriated my land unto themselves as a possession with the joy of all their heart, with derision in their soul, in order to drive it out that it may be for a prey.
Sentähden näin sanoo Herra, Herra: minä olen minun palavassa kiivaudessani puhunut jääneitä pakanoita vastaan, ja koko Edomia vastaan, jotka ovat ottaneet minun maani perinnöksensä, sydämellisellä ilolla ja pilkalla sitä hävittääksensä ja sortaaksensa.
6 Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, In my zealousness and in my fury have I spoken, because ye have borne the reproach of the nations:
Sentähden ennusta Israelin maasta, ja sano vuorille ja kukkuloille, ojille ja laaksoille: näin sanoo Herra, Herra: katso, minä olen puhunut minun kiivaudessani ja julmuudessani, että te olette senkaltaista häväistystä pakanoilta kärsineet.
7 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I have indeed lifted up my hand, that the nations who are round about you— these shall bear their shame.
Sentähden sanoo Herra, Herra näin: minä ylennän minun käteni, niin että teidän lähimmäisenne, pakanat joka taholta ympäri, pitää kantaman häpiänsä.
8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall send forth your boughs, and your fruit shall ye bear for my people Israel, for they are near at hand to come.
Mutta te, Israelin vuoret, teidän pitää viheriöitsemän, joka pian pitää tapahtuman.
9 For, behold, I will be for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and ye shall be sown;
Sillä katso, minä käännän itseni taas teidän tykönne, että te viljeltäisiin ja kylvettäisiin.
10 And I will multiply upon you men, all the house of Israel— altogether; and the cities shall be inhabited again, and the ruins shall be rebuilt;
Ja teen teidän tykönänne paljon kansaa, koko Israelin huoneen kaikki tyynni; ja kaupungissa pitää taas asuttaman, ja autiot rakennettaman.
11 And I will multiply upon you men and beast, and they shall increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited after your old estates, and will do more good unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Minä annan teidän kansanne ja karjanne lisääntyä, niin että te enenette ja kasvatte; ja panen teidän siihen jälleen asumaan niinkuin muinenkin ja teen teille enempi hyvää kuin joskus ennen; ja teidän pitää ymmärtämän, että minä olen Herra.
12 Yea, I will cause to walk upon you men, even my people Israel, and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be unto them as an inheritance, and thou shalt not any more henceforth cast them out.
Minä annan kansan tulla teidän tykönne, minun kansani Israelin, heidän pitää sinussa asuman, ja sinun pitää oleman heidän perintönsä, ja ei sinun pidä enään lapsettomaksi tuleman.
13 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast been one that hath ever cast out thy nations:
Näin sanoo Herra: että sinusta sanotaan: sinä olet syönyt ihmisiä, ja olet tehnyt sinun kansas lapsettomaksi;
14 Therefore shalt thou not devour up men any more, and thy nations shalt thou not cast out any more, saith the Lord Eternal.
Sentähden ei enään sinun pidä syömän ihmisiä, eli kansaas tekemän lapsettomaksi, sanoo Herra, Herra.
15 And I will not let be heard against thee any more the reproach of the nations, and the disgrace of the people shalt thou not bear any more, and thy nations shalt thou not cast out any more, saith the Lord Eternal.
Ja en minä tahdo antaa enään sinun kuulla pakanain pilkkaa, eikä sinun pidä enään kansain häväistystä kantaman, ei myös sinun kansaas enään lapsettomaksi tekemän, sanoo Herra, Herra.
16 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Ja Herran sana tapahtui vielä minulle ja sanoi:
17 Son of man, the house of Israel, when they dwelt in their own land, defiled it through their way and through their doings: like the uncleanness of a woman in her separation was their way before me.
Sinä ihmisen poika, kuin Israelin huone asui maallansa, ja saastutti sen menollansa ja töillänsä, niin että heidän menonsa oli minun edessäni niinkuin vaimon saastaisuus hänen taudissansa;
18 And I poured out my fury over them because of the blood that they had shed in the land, and because through their idols they had polluted it;
Silloin minä vuodatin vihani heidän päällensä, sen veren tähden, jonka he maalla olivat vuodattaneet, ja olivat sen epäjumalillansa saastuttaneet.
19 And I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings did I judge them.
Ja minä hajoitin heidät pakanain sekaan, ja he hajoitettiin maakuntiin; ja minä tuomitsin heitä heidän menonsa ja tekoinsa jälkeen.
20 And when they were come unto the nations, whither they were gone, they profaned my holy name; because they said of them, These are the people of the Lord, and out of his land are they gone forth.
Ja kuin he myös tulivat pakanain tykö, kuhunka he tulivat, häpäisivät he minun pyhän nimeni, että heistä sanottiin: onko tämä Herran kansa, jonka piti maaltansa lähtemän?
21 But I had pity for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations, whither they were gone.
Mutta minä säästin minun pyhän nimeni tähden, jonka Israelin huone häpäisi pakanain seassa, kuhunka he tulivat.
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Not for your sake do I this, O house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which ye have profaned among the nations, whither ye are gone.
Sentähden pitää sinun sanoman Israelin huoneelle: näin sanoo Herra, Herra: en minä sitä tee teidän tähtenne, te Israelin huone, vaan minun pyhän nimeni tähden, jonka te pakanain seassa olette häväisseet, joiden tykö te tulleet olette.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord Eternal, when I will be sanctified through you before your eyes.
Sillä minä tahdon pyhittää minun suuren nimeni, joka teiltä pakanain seassa suuresti häväisty on, ja pakanain pitää ymmärtämän minun olevan Herran, sanoo Herra, Herra, koska minä itseni osoitan teissä heidän edessänsäm että minä olen pyhä.
24 And I will take you from among the nations, and I will gather you out of all the countries, and I will bring you unto your own land.
Sillä minä tuon teidät pakanoista, ja kokoon teitä kaikista maakunnista, ja annan teidän tulla jälleen teidän maahanne.
25 And I will sprinkle upon you clean water, and ye shall be clean: from all your impurities, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Ja priiskotan puhdasta vettä teidän päällenne, niin että te tulette puhtaaksi; kaikesta teidän saastaisuudestanne ja kaikista teidän epäjumalistanne puhdistan minä teitä.
26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will remove the heart of stone out of your body, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
Ja annan teille uuden sydämen, ja uuden hengen annan minä teihin; ja otan pois teidän lihastanne kivisen sydämen, ja annan teille sydämen lihasta.
27 And my spirit I will put within you, and I will cause that you shall walk in my statutes, and that my ordinances ye shall keep, and do them.
Ja annan minun henkeni teihin, ja teen niin, että te vaellatte minun säädyissäni, ja pidätte minun oikeuteni, ja teette niiden jälkeen.
28 And ye shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be unto me for a people, and I truly will be unto you as a God.
Ja teidän pitää asuman sillä maalla, jonka minä olen teidän isillenne antanut; ja teidän pitää oleman minun kansani, ja minä tahdon olla teidän Jumalanne.
29 And I will save you from all kinds of your impurities; and I will call unto the corn, and increase it, and I will not lay famine upon you.
Minä vapahdan teitä kaikesta teidän saastaisuudestanne, ja sanon jyvälle, että hänen pitää hyvin menestymän, enkä anna teidän nähdä nälkää.
30 And I will multiply the fruit of the trees, and the products of the field: in order that ye may receive no more reproach on account of famine among the nations.
Minä enennän hedelmän puissa ja kasvatan tulon kedolla, ettei pakanain pidä teitä enään nälän tähden pilkkaaman.
31 Then shall ye remember your ways that they were evil, and your doings that were not good; and ye shall loathe yourselves on account of your iniquities and on account of your abominations.
Silloin teidän pitää ajatteleman teidän pahaa menoanne ja teidän töitänne, ettei ne olleet hyvät; ja teidän pitää itseenne suuttuman, teidän rikostenne ja teidän epäjumalanpalveluksenne tähden.
32 Not for your sake do I this, saith the Lord Eternal, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded because of your ways, O house of Israel.
En minä näitä tee teidän tähtenne, sanoo Herra, Herra, sen pitää teidän tietämän; vaan teidän pitää suuresti häpeemän teitänne, te Israelin huone.
33 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, On the day of my cleansing you from all your iniquities, when I cause the cities to be inhabited, and when the ruins are built up,
Näin sanoo Herra, Herra: sinä päivänä, kuin minä teitä olen puhdistava kaikista teidän rikoksistanne, niin minä taas tahdon panna asujat kaupungeihin, ja autiamet pitää taas rakennettaman.
34 And when the desolate land is tilled, instead that it was a waste before the eyes of every passer by:
Ja hävitetty maa pitää kynnettämän, että se oli turmeltu, kaikkein ohitsekäyväisten silmäin edessä.
35 Then shall they say, This land, that was desolate, is become like the garden of 'Eden; and the cities that were ruined, and desolate, and broken down, are become fortified, and inhabited.
Ja heidän pitää sanoman: tämä maa oli turmeltu, ja se on nyt niinkuin Edenin ilotarha; ja nämät kaupungit olivat kukistetut, jaotetut ja autiot, ja ovat nyt vahvat, ja niissä asutaan.
36 And the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord have built up the broken-down [places], have planted the desolate [land]: I the Lord have spoken this, and have done it.
Ja jääneet pakanat teidän ympärillänne pitää ymmärtämän, että minä Herra olen jaotetut jälleen rakentanut, ja hävitetyn istuttanut. Minä Herra sen sanonut ja tehnyt olen.
37 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Also in this will I yet suffer myself to be entreated of by the house of Israel, to do it for them, I will increase them with men like flocks [in multitude].
Näin sanoo Herra, Herra: Israelin huoneen pitää taas minua kysymän, että minä itseni heille osoitan, ja minä enennän heitä, niinkuin ihmisten lauman.
38 As the flocks of the holy things, as the flocks of Jerusalem on her appointed feasts, so shall the ruined cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Niinkuin pyhän lauman, niinkuin Jerusalemin lauman hänen juhlinansa, niin pitää hävitetyt kaupungit täyteen tuleman ihmisten laumoista; ja heidän pitää ymmärtämän minun olevan Herran.
