Ezekiel 31
1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
१ग्यारहवें वर्ष के तीसरे महीने के पहले दिन को यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुँचा:
2 Son of man, say unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to his multitude, Unto whom art thou like in thy arrogance?
२“हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, मिस्र के राजा फ़िरौन और उसकी भीड़ से कह, अपनी बड़ाई में तू किसके समान है।
3 Behold, Asshur was a cedar in Lebanon beautiful in its boughs, and a shadowing thicket, and high in stature; and among the thick-boughed trees was its highest branch.
३देख, अश्शूर तो लबानोन का एक देवदार था जिसकी सुन्दर-सुन्दर शाखें, घनी छाया देतीं और बड़ी ऊँची थीं, और उसकी फुनगी बादलों तक पहुँचती थी।
4 The waters made it great, the deep made it high, with its rivers it was flowing round the place where it was planted, and its ditches it sent forth unto all the trees of the field.
४जल ने उसे बढ़ाया, उस गहरे जल के कारण वह ऊँचा हुआ, जिससे नदियाँ उसके स्थान के चारों ओर बहती थीं, और उसकी नालियाँ निकलकर मैदान के सारे वृक्षों के पास पहुँचती थीं।
5 Therefore became its stature higher than all the trees of the field, and its boughs were multiplied, and its branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when it stretched itself forth.
५इस कारण उसकी ऊँचाई मैदान के सब वृक्षों से अधिक हुई; उसकी टहनियाँ बहुत हुईं, और उसकी शाखाएँ लम्बी हो गई, क्योंकि जब वे निकलीं, तब उनको बहुत जल मिला।
6 In its boughs made all the fowls of heaven their nest, and under its branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under its shade dwelt all great nations.
६उसकी टहनियों में आकाश के सब प्रकार के पक्षी बसेरा करते थे, और उसकी शाखाओं के नीचे मैदान के सब भाँति के जीवजन्तु जन्म लेते थे; और उसकी छाया में सब बड़ी जातियाँ रहती थीं।
7 And it was beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its light branches; for its root was by many waters.
७वह अपनी बड़ाई और अपनी डालियों की लम्बाई के कारण सुन्दर हुआ; क्योंकि उसकी जड़ बहुत जल के निकट थी।
8 The cedars could not obscure it in the garden of God; the firs were not like its boughs, and the chestnut-trees were not like its branches: not any tree in the garden of God was like unto it in its beauty.
८परमेश्वर की बारी के देवदार भी उसको न छिपा सकते थे, सनोवर उसकी टहनियों के समान भी न थे, और न अर्मोन वृक्ष उसकी शाखाओं के तुल्य थे; परमेश्वर की बारी का भी कोई वृक्ष सुन्दरता में उसके बराबर न था।
9 Beautiful had I made it by the multitude of its light branches: so that all the trees of 'Eden that were in the garden of God, envied it.
९मैंने उसे डालियों की बहुतायत से सुन्दर बनाया था, यहाँ तक कि अदन के सब वृक्ष जो परमेश्वर की बारी में थे, उससे डाह करते थे।
10 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because thou wast so high in stature, and it had placed its highest branch between the thick-boughed trees, and its heart was lifted up through its height:
१०“इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा ने यह कहा है, उसकी ऊँचाई जो बढ़ गई, और उसकी फुनगी जो बादलों तक पहुँची है, और अपनी ऊँचाई के कारण उसका मन जो फूल उठा है,
11 Therefore do I give it up into the hand of the mighty one of the nations; he shall surely deal with it at his pleasure; for its wickedness do I drive it out.
११इसलिए जातियों में जो सामर्थी है, मैं उसी के हाथ उसको कर दूँगा, और वह निश्चय उससे बुरा व्यवहार करेगा। उसकी दुष्टता के कारण मैंने उसको निकाल दिया है।
12 And strangers, the fiercest of nations, cut it down, and cast it to the ground: on the mountains and in all the valleys fall its light branches, and its boughs are [lying] broken in all the ravines of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone away from its shade, and have cast it to the ground.
१२परदेशी, जो जातियों में भयानक लोग हैं, वे उसको काटकर छोड़ देंगे, उसकी डालियाँ पहाड़ों पर, और सब तराइयों में गिराई जाएँगी, और उसकी शाखाएँ देश के सब नालों में टूटी पड़ी रहेंगी, और जाति-जाति के सब लोग उसकी छाया को छोड़कर चले जाएँगे।
13 Upon its fallen fragments dwell all the fowls of the heaven, and on its branches are all the beasts of the field:
१३उस गिरे हुए वृक्ष पर आकाश के सब पक्षी बसेरा करते हैं, और उसकी शाखाओं के ऊपर मैदान के सब जीवजन्तु चढ़ने पाते हैं।
14 In order that none of all the trees by the waters shall exalt themselves for their height, nor place their highest branch among the thick-boughed trees, and that all those that are nourished by water shall not place themselves erect, because of their height; for they are all given up unto death, to the land of the nether world, in the midst of the children of men, with those that go down to the pit.
१४यह इसलिए हुआ है कि जल के पास के सब वृक्षों में से कोई अपनी ऊँचाई न बढ़ाए, न अपनी फुनगी को बादलों तक पहुँचाए, और उनमें से जितने जल पाकर दृढ़ हो गए हैं वे ऊँचे होने के कारण सिर न उठाए; क्योंकि वे भी सब के सब कब्र में गड़े हुए मनुष्यों के समान मृत्यु के वश करके अधोलोक में डाल दिए जाएँगे।
15 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, On the day when it went down to the grave I caused a mourning; I covered the deep for its sake, and I restrained its rivers, and the great waters were withheld; and I caused Lebanon to be clothed in black attire for its sake, and all the trees of the field were famished because of it. १५“परमेश्वर यहोवा यह कहता है: जिस दिन वह अधोलोक में उतर गया, उस दिन मैंने विलाप कराया और गहरे समुद्र को ढाँप दिया, और नदियों का बहुत जल रुक गया; और उसके कारण मैंने लबानोन पर उदासी छा दी, और मैदान के सब वृक्ष मूर्छित हुए। (Sheol h7585)
16 Through the noise of its downfall I caused nations to quake, when I cast it down into the tomb with the [others] that descend into the pit: and in the land of the nether world comforted themselves all the trees of 'Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that were nourished by water. (Sheol h7585)
१६जब मैंने उसको कब्र में गड़े हुओं के पास अधोलोक में फेंक दिया, तब उसके गिरने के शब्द से जाति-जाति थरथरा गई, और अदन के सब वृक्ष अर्थात् लबानोन के उत्तम-उत्तम वृक्षों ने, जितने उससे जल पाते हैं, उन सभी ने अधोलोक में शान्ति पाई। (Sheol h7585)
17 They also went down with it into the tomb unto those that were slain with the sword, and its helpers that had dwelt under its shade in the midst of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
१७वे भी उसके संग तलवार से मारे हुओं के पास अधोलोक में उतर गए; अर्थात् वे जो उसकी भुजा थे, और जाति-जाति के बीच उसकी छाया में रहते थे। (Sheol h7585)
18 To whom art thou then like in glory and in greatness among the trees of 'Eden? And thou too shalt be brought down with the trees of 'Eden unto the land of the nether world: in the midst of the uncircumcised shalt thou lie with those slain by the sword; yes, he, Pharaoh, and all his multitude, saith the Lord Eternal.
१८“इसलिए महिमा और बड़ाई के विषय में अदन के वृक्षों में से तू किसके समान है? तू तो अदन के और वृक्षों के साथ अधोलोक में उतारा जाएगा, और खतनारहित लोगों के बीच तलवार से मारे हुओं के संग पड़ा रहेगा। फ़िरौन अपनी सारी भीड़-भाड़ समेत ऐसे ही होगा, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यही वाणी है।”
