Ezekiel 30
1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
La palabra de Yahvé volvió a dirigirse a mí, diciendo:
2 Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Wail ye, Woe unto the day!
“Hijo de hombre, profetiza y di: ‘El Señor Yahvé dice: “Grita: “¡Ay del día!
3 For nigh is the day, yea nigh is the day of the Lord; a cloudy day; the time of the nations' [misfortune] shall it be.
Porque el día está cerca, incluso el día de Yahvé está cerca. Será un día de nubes, un tiempo de las naciones.
4 And the sword shall come into Egypt, and there shall be trembling in Ethiopia, when the slain fall in Egypt, and when they take away its multitude, and its foundations shall be broken down.
Una espada vendrá sobre Egipto, y la angustia estará en Etiopía, cuando los muertos caen en Egipto. Le quitan su multitud, y sus cimientos se rompen.
5 Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all the confederates, and Cub, and all the men of the leagued land, shall fall with them by the sword.
“‘“Etiopía, Put, Lud, todos los pueblos mixtos, Cub, y los hijos de la tierra aliada con ellos, caerán con ellos a espada”.
6 Thus hath said the Lord, Yea, there shall fall those that uphold Egypt; and there shall come down the pride of her strength: from Migdol to Seveneh shall they fall in her by the sword, saith the Lord Eternal.
“‘Dice Yahvé: “También los que defienden a Egipto caerán. El orgullo de su poder caerá. Caerán a espada en ella desde la torre de Seveneh”. dice el Señor Yahvé.
7 And they shall be made desolate in the midst of the desolate countries, and its cities shall be counted in the midst of the cities that have been laid in ruins.
“Estarán desolados en medio de los países desolados. Sus ciudades estarán entre las ciudades desperdiciadas.
8 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I set fire to Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be broken.
Sabrán que yo soy Yahvé cuando haya prendido fuego en Egipto, y todos sus ayudantes son destruidos.
9 On that day shall messengers go forth from my presence in ships to terrify the secure Ethiopians, and there shall be trembling among them, as on the day of Egypt; for, lo, it cometh.
“‘“En aquel día saldrán mensajeros de delante de mí en barcos para hacer temer a los descuidados etíopes. Habrá angustia sobre ellos, como en el día de Egipto; porque, he aquí que viene”.
10 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also cause the multitude of Egypt to cease through the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon.
“‘Dice el Señor Yahvé: “También haré cesar la multitud de Egipto, por la mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.
11 He and his people with him, the fiercest of nations, shall be brought to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and they shall fill the land with the slain.
Él y su gente con él, el terrible de las naciones, serán traídos para destruir la tierra. Desenvainarán sus espadas contra Egipto, y llenar la tierra con los muertos.
12 And I will render the streams dry, and sell the land into the hand of evil men; and I will make the land desolate, and all that filleth it, by the hand of strangers: I the Lord have spoken it.
Haré que se sequen los ríos, y venderá la tierra en manos de hombres malvados. Haré que la tierra quede desolada, y todo lo que hay en ella, por la mano de los extranjeros. Yo, Yahvé, lo he dicho”.
13 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause false gods to cease out of Noph; and a prince out of the land of Egypt shall there not be any more: and I will lay fear on the land of Egypt.
“‘Dice el Señor Yahvé: “También destruiré los ídolos, y haré que las imágenes cesen de Memphis. No habrá más un príncipe de la tierra de Egipto. Pondré miedo en la tierra de Egipto.
14 And I will make Pathros desolate, and set fire to Zo'an; and I will execute judgments in No.
Haré que Patros quede desolado, y prenderá fuego en Zoan, y ejecutará las sentencias del No.
15 And I will pour my fury over Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.
Derramaré mi ira sobre el Pecado, la fortaleza de Egipto. Cortaré la multitud de No.
16 And I will set fire to Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be broken in, and [over] Noph shall the besiegers [prevail] by broad day.
Yo pondré fuego en Egipto El pecado tendrá una gran angustia. No se romperá. Memphis tendrá adversarios durante el día.
17 The young men of Aven and of Pi-besseth shall fall by the sword; and they themselves shall go into captivity.
Los jóvenes de Aven y de Pibeset caerán a espada. Irán al cautiverio.
18 And at Thechaphneches the day shall be darkened, when I break there the yoke-bars of Egypt, and the pride of her strength ceaseth therein: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
En Tehaphnehes también se retirará el día, cuando rompa allí los yugos de Egipto. El orgullo de su poder cesará en ella. En cuanto a ella, una nube la cubrirá, y sus hijas irán al cautiverio.
19 Thus will I execute judgments on Egypt: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Así ejecutaré juicios sobre Egipto. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé””.
20 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
En el undécimo año, en el primer mes, en el séptimo día del mes, vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:
21 Son of man, the arm of Pharaoh the king of Egypt have I broken; and lo, it shall not be bound up to apply remedies, to put on a bandage to bind it up, to make it strong that it may grasp the sword.
“Hijo de hombre, he quebrado el brazo de Faraón, rey de Egipto. He aquí que no ha sido vendado, para aplicarle medicinas, para ponerle una venda que lo ate, a fin de que se fortalezca para sostener la espada.
22 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and will break his arms, both the strong, and that which was already broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
Por eso dice el Señor Yahvé: ‘He aquí que yo estoy contra el Faraón, rey de Egipto, y quebraré sus brazos, el brazo fuerte y el quebrado. Haré que la espada caiga de su mano.
23 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and I will disperse them through the countries.
Esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los dispersaré por los países.
24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and will put my sword in his hand; but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he shall groan, with the groanings of a deadly wounded man before him.
Fortaleceré los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y pondré mi espada en su mano; pero quebraré los brazos del faraón, y él gemirá ante el rey de Babilonia con el gemido de un herido de muerte.
25 Yea I will make strong the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I place my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, that he may stretch it out over the land of Egypt.
Yo sostendré los brazos del rey de Babilonia, pero los brazos del faraón caerán. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé cuando ponga mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia, y él la extienda sobre la tierra de Egipto.
26 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los dispersaré por los países. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.
