Ezekiel 3
1 And he said unto me, Son of man, eat what thou findest: eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.
੧ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਲੈ! ਇਸ ਲਪੇਟਵੀਂ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲ!
2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat this roll.
੨ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਲਪੇਟਵੀਂ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, feed thy belly, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I am giving unto thee. And I ate it; and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.
੩ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਚਾ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਪੇਟਵੀਂ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਆਂਦਰਾਂ ਭਰ ਲੈ। ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਸੀ।
4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
੪ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ।
5 For not to a people of an obscure speech and of a difficult tongue art thou sent, but to the house of Israel;
੫ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਓਪਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਔਖੀ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
6 Not to many people of an obscure speech and of a difficult tongue, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would truly have hearkened unto thee.
੬ਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਓਪਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਔਖੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ! ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੁਣਦੀਆਂ।
7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me; for all the house of Israel have a bold forehead, and a hard heart.
੭ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਢੀਠ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦਿਲ ਹੈ।
8 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their face, and thy forehead strong against their forehead.
੮ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਤੇਰਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਕਠੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੱਥਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਢੀਠ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: thou shalt not fear them, nor shalt thou be dismayed at their presence, though they be a rebellious family.
੯ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀਰੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਚਕਮਕ ਪੱਥਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵਧੀਕ ਕਠੋਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਹੈ।
10 And he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I will speak unto thee receive in thy heart, and hear [them] with thy ears.
੧੦ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ!
11 And go, get thee to those in exile, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal: whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.
੧੧ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਅਥਵਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਸੁਣਨ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਨ।
12 Then a spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, [saying, ] Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.
੧੨ਫਿਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇ!
13 [I heard] also the sound of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the sound of the wheels at the same time with them, and the sound of a great rushing.
੧੩ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਛੂਹਣ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣੀ।
14 So a spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I walked in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit, and the inspiration of the Lord was strong upon me.
੧੪ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕੁੜੱਤਣ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਸੀ।
15 Then came I to the exiles at Tel-abib, who dwelt by the river Kebar, and I remained where they dwelt, and I remained there in a state of confusion among them seven days.
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਤੇਲ-ਆਬੀਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਬਾਰ ਨਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, That the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
੧੬ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: and thou shalt hear the word out of my mouth, and give them warning from me.
੧੭ਕਿ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਲਈ ਰਾਖ਼ਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦੇ।
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou dost not give him warning, and speakest not to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life: the same wicked man shall die through his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand.
੧੮ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਹੀ ਮਰੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਚੌਕਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਂ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ; ਤਾਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਮਰੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਖੂਨ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।
19 But thou, —if thou hast warned the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way: he shall indeed die in his iniquity; but thou hast surely delivered thy soul.
੧੯ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਮੁੜੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ।
20 Again, When a righteous man do turn from his righteousness, and do what is wrong: then will I lay a stumbling-block before him, [so that] he shall die; yet if thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his acts of righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require from thy hand.
੨੦ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਧਰਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਬਦੀ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਠੋਕਰ ਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਖੂਨ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।
21 But if thou hast truly warned him, —the righteous, that the righteous should not sin, and he doth not sin: he shall surely live, because he attended to the warning, and thou hast surely delivered thy own soul.
੨੧ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਧਰਮੀ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਰਹੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਪੱਕਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਮੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ।
22 And the inspiration of the Lord came there over me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the valley, and there will I speak with thee.
੨੨ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਉੱਠ, ਮੈਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
23 And I arose, and went forth into the valley; and, behold, there was the glory of the Lord standing, like that glory which I had seen by the river Kebar: and I fell down on my face.
੨੩ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਉਸ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕਬਾਰ ਨਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਮੂਧੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ।
24 Then entered a spirit into me, and placed me upright on my feet, and spoke with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself up within thy house.
੨੪ਤਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਬੂਹਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲੈ!
25 But thou, O son of man, behold, they put ropes upon thee, and bind thee with them, that thou canst not go out among them:
੨੫ਪਰ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਵੇਖ, ਉਹ ਰੱਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਂ।
26 And I will let thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not become to them a man who reproveth; for they are a rebellious family.
੨੬ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਤੇਰੇ ਤਾਲੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੂੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾੜਨਾ ਨਾ ਦੇ ਸਕੇਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਹੈ।
27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forebear; for they are a rebellious family.
੨੭ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਾਂਗਾ ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੇਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਹਨ।
