< Ezekiel 28 >

1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tún tọ̀ mí wá wí pé:
2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas thy heart was lifted up, and thou saidst, A god am I, on the seat of the gods do I dwell, in the heart of the seas; yet thou art but a man, and not God, while thou esteemest thy mind equal to the mind of God;
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, sọ fún ọmọ-aládé Tire pé, ‘Báyìí ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: “‘Nítorí tí ọkàn rẹ gbé sókè sí mi, ìwọ wí pé, “Èmi ni Ọlọ́run; Èmi jókòó sí orí ìtẹ́ òrìṣà, ní àárín gbùngbùn Òkun.” Ṣùgbọ́n ènìyàn ni ọ́, kì i ṣe òrìṣà, bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ wí pé ìwọ rò pé ìwọ gbọ́n bí Ọlọ́run.
3 Behold, thou wast wiser than Daniel; no secret was obscure to thee;
Ìwọ gbọ́n ju Daniẹli lọ bí? Ṣé kò sí àṣírí kan tí ó pamọ́ fún ọ?
4 With thy wisdom and with thy understanding hadst thou gotten thee riches, and hadst gotten gold and silver into thy treasuries;
Pẹ̀lú ọgbọ́n àti ìmọ̀ rẹ, ìwọ tí jèrè ọrọ̀ fún ara rẹ, àti àkójọpọ̀ wúrà àti fàdákà, nínú àwọn ilé ìṣúra rẹ.
5 By the abundance of thy wisdom in thy traffic hadst thou increased thy riches; and thy heart was lifted up because of thy riches:
Nípa ọgbọ́n rẹ ńlá àti nípa òwò rẹ, ìwọ ti sọ ọrọ̀ rẹ di púpọ̀, àti nítorí ọrọ̀ rẹ di púpọ̀, ọkàn rẹ gbé sókè, nítorí ọrọ̀ rẹ.
6 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because thou hast esteemed thy mind equal to the mind of God,
“‘Nítorí náà èyí yìí ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: “‘Nítorí pé ìwọ rò pé o gbọ́n, pé ìwọ gbọ́n bí Ọlọ́run.
7 Therefore, behold, will I bring over thee strangers, the fiercest • of nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall profane thy elegance.
Èmi yóò mú kí àwọn àjèjì dìde sí ọ, ẹlẹ́rù nínú àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè; wọn yóò yọ idà wọn sí ọ, ẹwà rẹ àti ọgbọ́n rẹ, wọn yóò sì ba dídán rẹ̀ jẹ́.
8 Down to the grave will they cast thee, and thou shalt die the deaths of the slain in the heart of the seas.
Wọn yóò mú ọ sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá sínú ihò, ìwọ yóò sì kú ikú gbígbóná, àwọn tí a pa ní àárín Òkun.
9 Wilt thou then say, I am God, before him that slayeth thee? when thou art but a man, and no God, in the hand of him that fatally wounded thee.
Ṣé ìwọ yóò wá wí pé, “Èmi ni Ọlọ́run,” ní ojú àwọn tí ó pa ọ́? Ìwọ yóò jẹ́ ènìyàn, kì í ṣe Ọlọ́run, ní ọwọ́ àwọn ti yóò pa ọ́.
10 The deaths of the uncircumcised shalt thou die by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Eternal.
Ìwọ yóò kú ikú aláìkọlà, ní ọwọ́ àwọn àjèjì. Èmi ni ó ti sọ ọ́, ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.’”
11 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tún tọ̀ mí wá wí pé:
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation concerning the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Thou wast complete in outline, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, pohùnréré ẹkún sórí ọba Tire kí ó sì sọ fún un pé: ‘Èyí yìí ni ohun tí Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: “‘Ìwọ jẹ́ àpẹẹrẹ ìjẹ́pípé náà, o kún fún ọgbọ́n, o sì pé ní ẹwà.
13 In 'Eden the garden of God didst thou abide; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold; thy tabrets and thy flutes of artificial workmanship were prepared in thee on the day thou wast created.
Ìwọ ti wà ní Edeni, ọgbà Ọlọ́run; onírúurú òkúta oníyebíye ni ìbora rẹ; sardiu, topasi àti diamọndi, berili, óníkìsì, àti jasperi, safire, emeradi, turikuose, àti karbunkili, àti wúrà, ìpilẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ àti àwọn òkè rẹ ní a dà, láti ara wúrà, ní ọjọ́ tí á dá ọ ní a pèsè wọn.
14 Thou wast a cherub with outspread covering [wings]; and I had set thee upon the holy mountain of God [as] thou wast; in the midst of the stones of fire didst thou wander.
A fi àmì òróró yàn ọ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí olùtọ́jú kérúbù, torí èyí ni mo fi yàn ọ́. Ìwọ wà lórí òkè mímọ́ Ọlọ́run; ìwọ rìn ni àárín òkúta a mú bí iná.
15 Perfect wast thou in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till wickedness was found in thee.
Ìwọ pé ní ọ̀nà rẹ, láti ọjọ́ tí a ti dá ọ, títí a fi rí àìṣedéédéé ní inú rẹ.
16 By the abundance of thy commerce thou wast filled to thy centre with violence, and thou didst sin: therefore I degraded thee out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Nípa ìtànkálẹ̀ òwò rẹ, ìwọ kún fún ìwà ipá; ìwọ sì dẹ́ṣẹ̀. Nítorí náà ni mo ṣe sọ ọ nù, bí ohun àìlọ́wọ̀ kúrò lórí òkè Ọlọ́run. Èmi sì pa ọ run, ìwọ kérúbù, tí ó bọ́ kúrò ní àárín òkúta a mú bí iná.
17 Thy heart was lifted up through thy beauty, thou didst corrupt thy wisdom by reason of thy elegance: [therefore] I cast thee down to the ground, before kings did I set thee that they might gaze on thee.
Ọkàn rẹ gbéraga, nítorí ẹwà rẹ. Ìwọ sì ba ọgbọ́n rẹ jẹ́, nítorí dídára rẹ. Nítorí náà mo le ọ sórí ayé; mo sọ ọ di awòojú níwájú àwọn ọba.
18 Through the abundance of thy iniquities, through the wickedness of thy commerce didst thou profane thy sanctuaries: therefore brought I forth fire from the midst of thee, this devoured thee, and I changed thee to ashes upon the earth before the eyes of all those that saw thee.
Nípa ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ púpọ̀ rẹ àti òwò àìṣòótọ́ rẹ, ìwọ ti ba àwọn ibi mímọ́ rẹ jẹ́. Nítorí náà mo mú kí iná jáde wá, láti inú rẹ, yóò sì jó ọ run, èmi yóò sì sọ ọ́ di eérú lórí ilẹ̀, lójú gbogbo àwọn tí ó ń wò ọ́.
19 All that know thee among the people are astonished concerning thee: thou art as though thou hadst not been, and thou shalt not be any more for ever.
Gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó mọ̀ ọ́n, ní ẹnu ń yà sí ọ; ìwọ yóò sì jẹ́ ẹ̀rù, ìwọ kì yóò sì ṣí mọ́ láéláé.’”
20 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tún tọ̀ mí wá wí pé:
21 Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, kọ ojú sí Sidoni; kí o sì sọtẹ́lẹ̀ sí i,
22 And thou shalt say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon, and I will be honored in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I execute judgments on her, and will be sanctified on her.
kí ó sì wí pé, ‘Báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: “‘Èmi lòdì sí ọ, ìwọ Sidoni, a ó sì ṣe mí lógo láàrín rẹ. Wọn yóò mọ̀ pé èmi ní Olúwa, nígbà tí mo bá mú ìdájọ́ mi ṣẹ nínú rẹ, tí a sì yá mí sí mímọ́ nínú rẹ.
23 And I will send out against her pestilence, and blood-[shedding] into her streets; and the deadly wounded shall be felled in the midst of her by the sword [that is] against her from every side: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Èmi yóò sì rán àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn sínú rẹ, èmi yóò sì mú kí ẹ̀jẹ̀ sàn ní ìgboro rẹ, ẹni ti á pa yóò ṣubú ní àárín rẹ, pẹ̀lú idà lára rẹ ní gbogbo ẹ̀gbẹ́, nígbà náà wọn yóò mọ̀ wí pé èmi ni Olúwa.
24 And there shall be no more unto the house of Israel a pricking brier, nor painful thorn from all that are round about them, that despoil them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Eternal.
“‘Kì yóò sì ṣí ẹ̀gún tí ń gun ni ní ilẹ̀ Israẹli mọ́, tàbí ẹ̀gún bíbani nínú jẹ́ ti gbogbo àwọn tí wọn wà ní àyíká wọn, tí wọ́n sì ń fi ojú yẹpẹrẹ wò wọ́n, nígbà náà ni wọn yóò mọ́ wí pé èmi ni Olúwa Olódùmarè.
25 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, When I gather the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified on them before the eyes of the nations: then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
“‘Èyí yìí ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Nígbà tí èmi yóò bá sa àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli jọ kúrò ní gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè tí wọ́n ti fọ́nká sí, tí a ó sì yà mí sí mímọ́ láàrín wọn lójú àwọn aláìkọlà. Nígbà náà ni wọn yóò gbé ní ilẹ̀ àwọn tìkálára wọn, èyí tí mo fún ìránṣẹ́ mi Jakọbu.
26 And they shall dwell thereupon in safety, and they shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell in safety; when I execute judgments on all those that despoiled them from round about them: and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.
Wọn yóò sì máa gbé ní inú rẹ̀ ní àìléwu, wọn yóò sì kọ́lé, wọn yóò sì gbin ọgbà àjàrà; nítòótọ́ wọn yóò wà ní ìbàlẹ̀ àyà, nígbà tí èmi bá ti mú ìdájọ́ mi ṣẹ̀ sí ara àwọn tí ń ṣátá wọn ní gbogbo àyíká wọn. Nígbà náà ni wọn yóò mọ̀ pé, Èmi ni Olúwa Ọlọ́run wọn.’”
