Ezekiel 28
1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:
2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas thy heart was lifted up, and thou saidst, A god am I, on the seat of the gods do I dwell, in the heart of the seas; yet thou art but a man, and not God, while thou esteemest thy mind equal to the mind of God;
Du Menschenkind, sage dem Fürsten zu Tyrus: So spricht der Herr HERR: Darum daß sich dein Herz erhebt und spricht: “Ich bin Gott, ich sitze auf dem Thron Gottes mitten im Meer”, so du doch ein Mensch und nicht Gott bist, doch erhebt sich dein Herz, als wäre es eines Gottes Herz:
3 Behold, thou wast wiser than Daniel; no secret was obscure to thee;
siehe, du hältst dich für klüger denn Daniel, daß dir nichts verborgen sei
4 With thy wisdom and with thy understanding hadst thou gotten thee riches, and hadst gotten gold and silver into thy treasuries;
und habest durch deine Klugheit und deinen Verstand solche Macht zuwege gebracht und Schätze von Gold und Silber gesammelt
5 By the abundance of thy wisdom in thy traffic hadst thou increased thy riches; and thy heart was lifted up because of thy riches:
und habest durch deine große Weisheit und Hantierung so große Macht überkommen; davon bist du so stolz geworden, daß du so mächtig bist;
6 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because thou hast esteemed thy mind equal to the mind of God,
darum spricht der Herr HERR also: Weil sich denn dein Herz erhebt, als wäre es eines Gottes Herz,
7 Therefore, behold, will I bring over thee strangers, the fiercest • of nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall profane thy elegance.
darum, siehe, ich will Fremde über dich schicken, nämlich die Tyrannen der Heiden; die sollen ihr Schwert zücken über deine schöne Weisheit und deine große Ehre zu Schanden machen.
8 Down to the grave will they cast thee, and thou shalt die the deaths of the slain in the heart of the seas.
Sie sollen dich hinunter in die Grube stoßen, daß du mitten auf dem Meer stirbst wie die Erschlagenen.
9 Wilt thou then say, I am God, before him that slayeth thee? when thou art but a man, and no God, in the hand of him that fatally wounded thee.
Was gilt's, ob du dann vor deinem Totschläger wirst sagen: “Ich bin Gott”, so du doch nicht Gott, sondern ein Mensch und in deiner Totschläger Hand bist?
10 The deaths of the uncircumcised shalt thou die by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Eternal.
Du sollst sterben wie die Unbeschnittenen von der Hand der Fremden; denn ich habe es geredet, spricht der Herr HERR.
11 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation concerning the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Thou wast complete in outline, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Du Menschenkind, mache eine Wehklage über den König zu Tyrus und sprich von Ihm: So spricht der Herr HERR: Du bist ein reinliches Siegel, voller Weisheit und aus der Maßen schön.
13 In 'Eden the garden of God didst thou abide; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold; thy tabrets and thy flutes of artificial workmanship were prepared in thee on the day thou wast created.
Du bist im Lustgarten Gottes und mit allerlei Edelsteinen geschmückt: mit Sarder, Topas, Demant, Türkis, Onyx, Jaspis, Saphir, Amethyst, Smaragd und Gold. Am Tage, da du geschaffen wurdest, mußten da bereitet sein bei dir deine Pauken und Pfeifen.
14 Thou wast a cherub with outspread covering [wings]; and I had set thee upon the holy mountain of God [as] thou wast; in the midst of the stones of fire didst thou wander.
Du bist wie ein Cherub, der sich weit ausbreitet und decket; und ich habe dich auf den heiligen Berg Gottes gesetzt, daß du unter den feurigen Steinen wandelst.
15 Perfect wast thou in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till wickedness was found in thee.
Du warst ohne Tadel in deinem Tun von dem Tage an, da du geschaffen wurdest, bis sich deine Missetat gefunden hat.
16 By the abundance of thy commerce thou wast filled to thy centre with violence, and thou didst sin: therefore I degraded thee out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Denn du bist inwendig voll Frevels geworden vor deiner großen Hantierung und hast dich versündigt. Darum will ich dich entheiligen von dem Berge Gottes und will dich ausgebreiteten Cherub aus den feurigen Steinen verstoßen.
17 Thy heart was lifted up through thy beauty, thou didst corrupt thy wisdom by reason of thy elegance: [therefore] I cast thee down to the ground, before kings did I set thee that they might gaze on thee.
Und weil sich dein Herz erhebt, daß du so schön bist, und hast dich deine Klugheit lassen betrügen in deiner Pracht, darum will ich dich zu Boden stürzen und ein Schauspiel aus dir machen vor den Königen.
18 Through the abundance of thy iniquities, through the wickedness of thy commerce didst thou profane thy sanctuaries: therefore brought I forth fire from the midst of thee, this devoured thee, and I changed thee to ashes upon the earth before the eyes of all those that saw thee.
Denn du hast dein Heiligtum verderbt mit deiner großen Missetat und unrechtem Handel. Darum will ich ein Feuer aus dir angehen lassen, das dich soll verzehren, und will dich zu Asche machen auf der Erde, daß alle Welt zusehen soll.
19 All that know thee among the people are astonished concerning thee: thou art as though thou hadst not been, and thou shalt not be any more for ever.
Alle, die dich kennen unter den Heiden, werden sich über dich entsetzen, daß du so plötzlich bist untergegangen und nimmermehr aufkommen kannst.
20 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:
21 Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,
Du Menschenkind, richte dein Angesicht wider Sidon und weissage wider sie
22 And thou shalt say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon, and I will be honored in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I execute judgments on her, and will be sanctified on her.
und sprich: So spricht der Herr HERR: Siehe, ich will an dich, Sidon, und will an dir Ehre einlegen, daß man erfahren soll, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich das Recht über sie gehen lasse und an ihr erzeige, daß ich heilig sei.
23 And I will send out against her pestilence, and blood-[shedding] into her streets; and the deadly wounded shall be felled in the midst of her by the sword [that is] against her from every side: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Und ich will Pestilenz und Blutvergießen unter sie schicken auf ihren Gassen, und sie sollen tödlich verwundet drinnen fallen durchs Schwert, welches allenthalben über sie gehen wird; und sollen erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.
24 And there shall be no more unto the house of Israel a pricking brier, nor painful thorn from all that are round about them, that despoil them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Eternal.
Und forthin sollen allenthalben um das Haus Israel, da ihre Feinde sind, keine Dornen, die da stechen, noch Stacheln, die da wehe tun, bleiben, daß sie erfahren, daß ich der Herr HERR bin.
25 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, When I gather the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified on them before the eyes of the nations: then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
So spricht der Herr HERR: Wenn ich das Haus Israel wieder versammeln werde von den Völkern, dahin sie zerstreut sind, so will ich vor den Heiden an ihnen erzeigen, daß ich heilig bin. Und sie sollen wohnen in ihrem Lande, das ich meinem Knecht Jakob gegeben habe;
26 And they shall dwell thereupon in safety, and they shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell in safety; when I execute judgments on all those that despoiled them from round about them: and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.
und sollen sicher darin wohnen und Häuser bauen und Weinberge pflanzen; ja, sicher sollen sie wohnen, wenn ich das Recht gehen lasse über alle ihre Feinde um und um; und sollen erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, ihr Gott bin.
