Ezekiel 2
1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand up upon thy feet, and I will speak with thee.
Der sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, stelle dich auf deine Füße, daß ich mit dir rede!
2 And a spirit entered into me as he spoke unto me, and it placed me upon my feet, and I heard him that spoke unto me.
Da kam Geist in mich, als er so zu mir redete, der stellte mich auf meine Füße, und ich hörte den, der sich mit mir unterredete.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to rebellious tribes that have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even until this very day.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn! Ich will dich senden zum Hause Israel, zu den Abtrünnigen, die von mir abtrünnig geworden sind, sie und ihre Väter, bis zu eben diesem Tage.
4 And the children are impudent of face, and obdurate of heart: I send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal.
Und du sollst zu ihnen sagen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe!
5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, [for they are a rebellious family, ] shall yet know that a prophet hath been among them.
Und mögen sie es nun hören oder mögen sie es lassen - denn ein Haus der Widerspenstigkeit sind sie -, so sollen sie doch merken, daß ein Prophet unter ihnen ist.
6 And thou, son of man, —thou shalt not be afraid of them, and of their words thou shalt have no fear, though they be briers and thorns with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: of their words be not afraid, and at their presence be not dismayed; for they are a rebellious family.
Du aber, Menschensohn, fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen und vor ihren Reden fürchte dich nicht, wenn Nesseln und Dornen bei dir sind und du bei Skorpionen wohnst. Vor ihren Reden fürchte dich nicht und vor ihren Angesichtern erschrick nicht, denn sie sind ein Haus der Widerspenstigkeit.
7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are rebellious.
Vielmehr sollst du meine Worte zu ihnen reden, mögen sie nun hören oder es lassen; denn sie sind eitel Widerspenstigkeit.
8 But thou, son of man, hear what I am speaking unto thee, Be not thou rebellious like this rebellious family: open thy mouth, and eat what I give unto thee.
Du aber, o Menschensohn, höre, was ich zu dir reden werde; sei du nicht eitel Widerspenstigkeit wie das Haus der Widerspenstigkeit. Sperre deinen Mund auf und iß, was ich dir jetzt übergeben werde!
9 And then I looked, and behold, a hand was stretched out toward me; and, lo, a roll-book was therein;
Da sah ich, wie eine Hand gegen mich ausgestreckt war; in der lag eine Buchrolle.
10 And he spread it out before me; and it was written within and without: and there were written therein lamentations, and dirges, and woe.
Und er breitete sie vor mir aus, und sie war vorn und hinten beschrieben und zwar war sie beschrieben mit Klageliedern und Seufzen und Wehklage.
