Ezekiel 13

1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:

2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto those that prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of the Lord:

Du Menschenkind, weissage wider die Propheten Israels und sprich zu denen, so aus ihrem eigenen Herzen weissagen: Höret des HERRN Wort!

3 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Woe unto the scandalous prophets, that follow their own spirit, without having seen any thing!

So spricht der HERR HERR: Wehe den tollen Propheten, die ihrem eigenen Geist folgen und haben doch nicht Gesichte!

4 Like foxes among the ruins have been thy prophets, O Israel!

O Israel, deine Propheten sind wie die Füchse in den Wüsten!

5 Ye did not go up into the breaches, nor did ye make a fence around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the day of the Lord.

Sie treten nicht vor die Lücken und machen sich nicht zur Hürde um das Haus Israel und stehen nicht im Streit am Tage des HERRN.

6 They saw falsehood and lying divination, they who say, “The Lord saith,” when the Lord had not sent them; and yet they made others hope for the fulfillment of the word.

Ihr Gesicht ist nichts, und ihr Weissagen ist eitel Lügen. Sie sprechen: Der HERR hat's gesagt, so sie doch der HERR nicht gesandt hat, und mühen sich, daß sie ihre Dinge erhalten.

7 Had ye not seen a false vision, and had ye not said a lying divination? and ye say, “The Lord saith,” when I have not spoken.

Ist's nicht also, daß euer Gesicht ist nichts, und euer Weissagen ist eitel Lügen? Und sprechet doch: Der HERR hat's geredet, so ich's doch nicht geredet habe.

8 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas ye have spoken falsehood, and have seen lies: therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Eternal.

Darum spricht der HERR HERR also: Weil ihr das prediget, da nichts aus wird, und Lügen weissaget, so will ich an euch, spricht der HERR HERR.

9 And my hand shall be against the prophets that see false-hood, and that divine lies; in the secret council of my people shall they not be, and in the register of the house of Israel shall they not be written, and into the land of Israel shall they not come: and ye shall know that I am the Lord Eternal.

Und meine Hand soll kommen über die Propheten, so das predigen, da nichts aus wird, und Lügen weissagen. Sie sollen in der Versammlung meines Volks nicht sein und in die Zahl des Hauses Israel nicht geschrieben werden noch ins Land Israel kommen; und ihr sollt erfahren, daß ich der HERR HERR bin,

10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “Peace,” when there was no peace: and [my people] build a protecting wall, and lo, they plaster it with unadhesive mortar.

darum daß sie mein Volk verführen und sagen: Friede! so doch kein Friede ist. Das Volk bauet die Wand, so tünchen sie dieselbe mit losem Kalk.

11 Say unto those who plaster it with unadhesive mortar, that it shall fall: there cometh an overflowing rain-shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a storm-wind shall rend it.

Sprich zu den Tünchern, die mit losem Kalk tünchen, daß es abfallen wird; denn es wird ein Platzregen kommen, und werden große Hagel fallen, die es fällen, und ein Windwirbel wird es zerreißen.

12 And, lo, the wall is fallen down; will it not now be said unto you, Where is the plastering wherewith ye have plastered?

Siehe, so wird die Wand einfallen. Was gilt's, dann wird man zu euch sagen: Wo ist nun, das Getünchte, das ihr getüncht habt?

13 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will even rend it with storm-winds in my fury; and an overflowing rain-shower shall come in my anger, with great hailstones in my fury to destroy it.

So spricht der HERR HERR: Ich will einen Windwirbel reißen lassen in meinem Grimm und einen Platzregen in meinem Zorn und große Hagelsteine im Grimm, die sollen es alles umstoßen.

14 And I will pull down the wall that ye have plastered with unadhesive mortar, and I will cast it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be laid open; and it shall fall, and ye shall be destroyed in the midst of it: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Also will ich die Wand umwerfen, die ihr mit losem Kalk getüncht habt, und will sie zu Boden stoßen, daß man ihren Grund sehen soll, daß sie da liege; und ihr sollt drinnen auch umkommen und erfahren, daß ich der HERR sei.

15 Thus will I let out all my wrath upon the wall, and upon those that have plastered it with unadhesive mortar; and I will say unto you, Gone is the wall, and gone are they that plastered it;

Also will ich meinen Grimm vollenden an der Wand und an denen, die sie mit losem Kalk tünchen und zu euch sagen: Hie ist weder Wand noch Tüncher.

16 [Namely, ] the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see for her a vision of peace, when there is no peace, saith the Lord Eternal.

Das sind die Propheten Israels, die Jerusalem weissagen und predigen von Friede, so doch kein Friede ist, spricht der HERR HERR.

17 But, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, who prophesy out of their own heart: and prophesy against them,

Und, du Menschenkind, richte dein Angesicht wider die Töchter in deinem Volk, welche weissagen aus ihrem Herzen, und weissage wider sie

18 And say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Woe to the women that sew bolsters together for the armpits of all, and make cushions for the head of every stature, to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, that ye may keep your own soul alive?

und sprich: So spricht der HERR HERR: Wehe euch, die ihr Kissen machet den Leuten unter die Arme und Pfühle zu den Häupten, beide, Jungen und Alten, die Seelen zu fahen! Wenn ihr nun die Seelen gefangen habt unter meinem Volk, verheißet ihr denselbigen das Leben

19 And ye profane me among my people for handfuls of barley and for bits of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to keep alive the souls that should not live, by your lying to my people that listen to lies!

und entheiliget mich in meinem Volk um einer Hand voll Gerste und Bissen Brots willen, damit daß ihr die Seelen zum Tode verurteilet, die doch nicht sollten sterben, und urteilet die zum Leben; die doch nicht leben sollten, durch eure Lügen unter meinem Volk, welches gerne Lügen höret.

20 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I am against your bolsters, whereon ye hunt the souls that they may flutter [in your net], and I will tear them away from your arms; and I will let the souls go free, even the souls that ye hunt that they may flutter [in your net.]

Darum spricht der HERR HERR: Siehe, ich will an eure Kissen, damit ihr die Seelen fahet und vertröstet, und will sie von euren Armen wegreißen und die Seelen, so ihr fahet und vertröstet, losmachen.

21 And I will tear away your cushions, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Und will eure Pfühle zerreißen und mein Volk aus eurer Hand erretten, daß ihr sie nicht mehr fahen sollt; und sollt erfahren, daß ich der HERR sei,

22 Because ye grieve the heart of the righteous with falsehood, when I have not given him pain; and strengthen the hands of the wicked, so that he should not return from his wicked way, through which he might live.

darum daß ihr das Herz der Gerechten fälschlich betrübet, die ich nicht betrübet habe, und habt gestärket die Hände der Gottlosen, daß sie sich von ihrem bösen Wesen nicht bekehren, damit sie lebendig möchten bleiben.

23 Therefore shall ye see no more falsehood, and tell no more divinations; and I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Darum sollt ihr nicht mehr unnütze Lehre predigen noch weissagen, sondern ich will mein Volk aus euren Händen erretten, und ihr sollt erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.
