Ezekiel 12
1 The word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 Son of man, in the midst of a rebellious family art thou dwelling, who have eyes to see, and see not; who have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious family.
« Fils d'homme, tu habites au milieu de la maison des rebelles, qui ont des yeux pour voir et ne voient pas, qui ont des oreilles pour entendre et n'entendent pas, car c'est une maison de rebelles.
3 But thou, O son of man, prepare for thyself vessels for going into exile, and wander away by day before their eyes; and thou shalt wander away from thy place to another place before their eyes: perhaps they may become aware that they are a rebellious family.
« C'est pourquoi, toi, fils d'homme, prépare ton bagage pour le déplacement, et tu te déplaceras de jour sous leurs yeux. Tu iras de ton lieu à un autre lieu sous leurs yeux. Peut-être y réfléchiront-ils, bien qu'ils soient une maison rebelle.
4 Then shalt thou carry forth thy vessels, like vessels of exile, by day before their eyes: and thou shalt go forth at evening before their eyes, as they do that go forth into exile.
Tu sortiras ton bagage de jour sous leurs yeux, comme un bagage de déménagement. Tu sortiras toi-même le soir sous leurs yeux, comme lorsqu'on part en exil.
5 Before their eyes break a hole through the wall, and carry [them] through it.
Tu perceras le mur sous leurs yeux et tu sortiras ton bagage par là.
6 Before their [eyes] shalt thou bear them upon thy shoulders, in the dark shalt thou carry them forth: thy face shalt thou cover, that thou mayest not see the ground; for as a token have I set thee unto the house of Israel.
Sous leurs yeux, tu les porteras sur ton épaule et tu les sortiras dans l'obscurité. Tu te couvriras le visage pour ne pas voir le pays, car je t'ai établi comme un signe pour la maison d'Israël. »
7 And I did so as I had been commanded; my vessels I carried forth by day, like vessels of exile, and in the evening I broke a hole for myself through the wall with my hand: in the dark I brought them forth, and I bore them upon my shoulder before their eyes.
J'ai fait ce qu'on m'avait ordonné. J'ai sorti mon bagage le jour, comme un bagage de déménagement, et le soir j'ai creusé de ma main à travers le mur. Je l'ai sorti dans l'obscurité, et je l'ai porté sur mon épaule, sous leurs yeux.
8 And the word of the Lord came unto me in the morning, saying,
Le matin, la parole de Yahvé me fut adressée, en ces termes:
9 Son of man, have not the house of Israel, the rebellious family, said unto thee, What doest thou?
« Fils d'homme, la maison d'Israël, la maison rebelle, ne t'a-t-elle pas dit: « Que fais-tu? ».
10 Say thou unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, For the prince in Jerusalem is the doom, and for all the house of Israel, [and those] that are in the midst of them.
« Dis-leur: « Le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Ce fardeau concerne le prince de Jérusalem et toute la maison d'Israël parmi laquelle il se trouve. »
11 Say, I am your token; just as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: into exile, into captivity, shall they wander.
« Dis: « Je suis votre signe. Ce que j'ai fait, il le fera pour eux. Ils iront en exil, en captivité.
12 And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth; through the wall shall they break a hole to carry [things] through it: his face shall he cover up, that he may not see the ground with his eyes.
"'Le prince qui est parmi eux portera son bagage sur son épaule dans l'obscurité, et il sortira. Ils creuseront à travers le mur pour transporter les choses par là. Il se couvrira le visage, car il ne verra pas le pays de ses yeux.
13 And I will spread out my net over him, and he shall be caught in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon into the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, and there shall he die.
J'étendrai aussi mon filet sur lui, et il sera pris dans mon piège. Je l'amènerai à Babylone, au pays des Chaldéens; mais il ne le verra pas, et il y mourra.
14 And all that are round about him, those who assist him, and all the wings of his armies will I disperse toward every wind; and the sword will I draw out after them.
Je disperserai à tous les vents tous ceux qui l'entourent pour le secourir, et toutes ses troupes. Je tirerai l'épée après eux.
15 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.
"'Ils sauront que je suis Yahvé quand je les disperserai parmi les nations et que je les répandrai dans les pays.
16 But I will leave of them men few in number from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence: in order that they may relate all their abominations among the nations whither they shall have come; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Mais je laisserai un petit nombre d'entre eux à l'abri de l'épée, de la famine et de la peste, afin qu'ils racontent toutes leurs abominations parmi les nations où ils viendront. Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.'"
17 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
18 Son of man, thy bread shalt thou eat with quaking, and thy water shalt thou drink with trembling and with anxious care.
« Fils d'homme, mange ton pain en tremblant, et bois ton eau en tremblant et en craignant.
19 And thou shalt say unto the people of the land, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [and] concerning the land of Israel, Their bread shall they eat with anxious care, and their water shall they drink with confusion, for the cause that her land will be desolate, deprived of its plenteousness because of the violence of all those that dwell therein.
Dis aux habitants du pays: Le Seigneur Yahvé dit au sujet des habitants de Jérusalem et du pays d'Israël: « Ils mangeront leur pain dans l'angoisse, et ils boiront leur eau dans le tremblement: « Ils mangeront leur pain avec effroi et boiront leur eau avec consternation, afin que son pays soit dévasté, avec tout ce qu'il contient, à cause de la violence de tous ceux qui l'habitent.
20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid in ruins, and the land shall be made desolate: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Les villes habitées seront dévastées, et le pays sera dévasté. Alors vous saurez que je suis Yahvé. »'"
21 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée, en ces termes:
22 Son of man, what sort of proverb is that which ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are lasting long, and lost is every vision?
« Fils d'homme, que signifie ce proverbe que vous avez dans le pays d'Israël, et qui dit: « Les jours se prolongent, et toute vision s'évanouit »?
23 Therefore say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will cause this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but speak unto them, The days are coming nigh, and the word of every vision.
Dis-leur donc: « Le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Je ferai cesser ce proverbe, et on n'en fera plus usage en Israël »; mais dis-leur: « Les jours sont proches, et l'accomplissement de toute vision ».
24 For there shall be no more any false vision and a deceptive divination within the house of Israel.
Car il n'y aura plus de vision fausse ni de divination flatteuse au sein de la maison d'Israël.
25 For I am the Lord, —I do speak, and whatever word I do speak shall be done; it shall not be delayed any more; for in your days, O rebellious family, will I speak the word, and I will execute it, saith the Lord Eternal.
Car je suis Yahvé. Je parlerai, et la parole que je prononce s'accomplira. Elle ne sera plus différée; car de votre temps, maison rebelle, je dirai la parole et je l'accomplirai, dit le Seigneur Yahvé.'"
26 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
27 Son of man, behold, the house of Israel say, The vision that he foreseeth is for distant days, and for times that are far off doth he prophesy.
« Fils d'homme, voici que les gens de la maison d'Israël disent: « La vision qu'il a, c'est pour des jours à venir, et il prophétise des temps éloignés.
28 Therefore say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, There shall not be delayed any more one of all my words; but whatever word I do speak shall be done, saith the Lord Eternal.
« C'est pourquoi tu leur diras: « Le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Aucune de mes paroles ne sera plus différée, mais la parole que je dirai sera accomplie, dit le Seigneur Yahvé. »"
